- Pokemon modders are doing the insane! Imagine pokemon platinum except its remade on the switch. We add a bunch of national dex pokemon. Speed up the battles so they dont take so damn long, add unique forms from other regions, run at a stable 60fps, enhance a bunch of the animations and have true sized pokemon? But guys this is only the start with a whole other line of quality of life improvements and changes.

Its crazy how much modders can accomplish when given an engine and infinite passion for an ip. Imo Game Freak should hire people like these modders to make a spinoff like Colosseum, but more modern.
There is no need to hire anyone, changes and additions like that would be the easiest thing ever to implement for these developers. They simply don't have to do it because people buy this stuff even though they put zero effort into it. And they wouldn't hire fans for a spin off either since they would have the capabilites to actually hire professionals with all that budget but still stick to their like 30 man team just to safe money
Basically, minimizing investment and expenses related to project and gaming development, and maximizing profits. Pokemon Fans out there buy anything, even if the game happens to be lazy built. Game Freak has embraced this Profit maximization ideology a long time ago.
So, it turns out that this game was actually super easy to mod since the code between this and the OG Diamond and Pearl was almost the same 💀
@@ScubaShark8857 I think it's not just similar, it's the same source code. Bdsp even checks for Gba games in the "DS system", it is doing that because they never removed the code. And this line of code probably wasn't put in for a switch game, so it only makes sense that it was just always there.
They need to take a page out of Sega's book and officially license and support fan games that are of a respectable quality

@@momovellia3816 not sure about luminescent platinum specifically but for most games they either change the Evo requirement to level or to an item link the “link cable” item in Pokemon legends Arcelia
@@momovellia3816 if I remember correctly, you can evolve it via level up. It will turn to Gengar at level 36
Thai game is based on renegade platinum, hence why you get all the starters, n gym stuff different plus extra battles
just reached elite four in renegade platinum...such a good fuckin game. Idk how i'd feel about it in chibi-style. Felt awesome as a ds hack.

People really want games like this. I'm surprised GameFreak STILL hasn't done something where you can randomize Pokémon, so people can do an Ironmon challenge.
But something like this would be easy. And it would make them money. Certainly more than the fare whether games we've been getting. They just need to add updates once in a while, and people would pay for it, as long as the game was good.
I feel like GF would be okay with randomization if they could disable trading simultaneously.

@@Korijenkins1414Gamefreak would never be ok with randomization. It ruins the “purity” of the game in their eyes. They also hate nuzlockes for similar reasons.
27:28 Ice shard and sucker punch have the same level of priority meaning it came down to speed and we all know a Weavile will out speed a Gengar any day of the week

sucker punch fails if the target uses prio move, the attack has to have 0 prio or less for sucker to go off
@@teejarr No, sucker punch hits even if the target uses a priority if it's slower. For Sucker Punch to fail the target needs to: use a +1 priority while being faster than the user, use a higher priority (Extreme Speed for example), use a status move or switch out
Even more, this game is actually getting decompiled now, which means a PC port and absolute control over the engine. It'll be the ultimate Pokémon fangame engine of your _dreams._

That's why Nintendo wants to invent ban/delete rules not only against modders, but also pokemon youtubers, Because BOTH representing CORRECTIONS of Nintendos bare Minimum of Pokemon Games/greedy marketing.

When people improve on their products like this, you see how embarrassingly bare minimum their own product was. With Mario, that's not such a problem because they usually make a good game, even if it's much like the last one...But with Pokémon, it's obvious that they don't know what to do or don't want to spend money bringing in new Devs to help.

I am actually currently replaying platinum and love it, I also decided to start replaying BD but I was so disappointed in it because it just isn't platinum so having this video come out rn and pop up on my feed is almost like it was meant for me lol I will definitely be trying this game
This girl from 2018, who I still care about even though we've been out of each other's lives for a long time, got me that Mega Benette Gengar Cosplay Gengar Plush in 2018, then that same Gengar came out in Pokemon GO in 2019, I got a 98% IV one as my first, then got her an extra one just in case we ever meet again. Tbh I plan on getting a hacked Switch just for Smash Bros, turns out I was wrong will be getting it for Pokemon too. Thanks for the video :D

They actually can, some megas already work but at the moment they decided to not add them because of balancing

Nope their isn't. Even though they've said its coming, I wouldn't hold my breath. Its gaining way too much traction and nintendo will DMCA it before the distortion world update launches. Renegade platinum is better anyway.
This mod seems like so much fun. I just wish that I could play a less competitive version of it. Especially if I could get it running on Yuzu on my phone. Lol.

You have to homebrew your Switch. There are tutorials for that but I don’t really know the details myself.

This is based on renegade platinum which is cool for those types of players but is there a platinum version of this without the added things. Like just a platinum remake?

Just so people know, Luminescent Platinum isn't just a remake of Platinum, it's a remake of Renegade Platinum, a rom hack for Platinum by Drayano, the genius behind other rom hacks such as Blaze Black and Volt White.
I still prefer renegade over this, to me it just feels like a cut and paste.

I got this for my copy of Brilliant Diamond, I gotta say this is my favorite rom hack by far! I definitely recommended it to anyone who hasn't played it. ❤

The Distortion World and Giratina part was in BDSP. You can't catch that one either. I know that it was a single group of people and this is an amazing mod, but they copy and pasted that part from the original remake (that sounds odd)
If we would've just got this much content in the vanilla versions of BDSP...

Thinking sucker punch will out speed ice shard LOL. For anyone that doesn't know sucker punch is a +1 priority move on an attack the problem with this move is that if it's used on a turn someone uses a priority move in this case ice shard which is also a +1 then the one that will go first goes back to the original speed stat. Being that weavile base speed is higher it will move first.

For amateurs players do u know whats the perfect thing to do for focus sashes and sturdy? Set up the field with a trap stealth rocks spikes etc theres a reason these moves exist not only for pvp but for pve as well. Enjoy
Luminescent platinum is amazing in every regard. My computer isn't super great yet it still runs at 60fps on my machine lol
