I was at this show with my girlfriend and my best friend at the time. At 46:30 you can see him bend down to grab a rose from my girlfriend. I bought her that rose from a guy on the street outside of the club for $10. I was happy that he excepted it. He signed my copy of figure8, and we stood outside of the club waiting for him to come out. My best friend tried to give him his tape and Elliott said “ I’m just so tired, sorry” I personally thought it was kinda funny that he didn’t take his tape, and thought it was a little obnoxious of my friend to try to push it on him after a show. He got into a jeep wrangler and the tires screeched as they took off. He was a beautiful person that made beautiful music and I will forever be grateful that I got to see him in person.
I was there too :) Senior year of high school and a girl I barely knew invited me. Gotta thank her for turning me on to one of the greatest that night.
It seemed like he was getting emotional during the final song, "Easy Way Out". This was around the time he was using drugs and having crying jags on the tour bus over the most random things. He was not in a good place. Poor Elliott. :( If only he'd been able to vanquish his demons and come out the other side, like Trent Reznor did.

Didn't know living in a cage. Is it an Elliott song ?
It is. Though the song is more commonly known as "Confusion."
