Rodney is very humble and has the right approach. There's literally no arrogance about him in any way. There is no such thing as a bad deer and any hunt that is successful should be considered special. Take what the woods have to offer
biggest point treat everything as your own.Enjoy watching Rodney and his boys .I have learned so much by watching there videos over the years . sometimes while on a track and get confused I'll say to my self what would Rodney do.and that helps being newish at tracking.
Good point got to be mobile, see so many people shoot a big deer somewhere only to hunt that same place every year even if there are no longer any big ones there. Think they think that maybe 5 or 10 years later this big deer is going to wonder or chase a doe in heat back in that area. Used to be good, is no longer good! Go find that new area that is good now. Your not getting any younger take advantage of what time you have here, some day it will come to a end, that's a given.
Every hunter I talk to says that the short seasons in Maine,,is the reason they have never bought a license and tried hunting there ,,I wonder what it would take for that state to change there seasons from short , to long for two years to see what happened.
I live here in Maine, and while the short season is frustrating at times, the bucks start shedding not too long after season, sometimes during season. Our deer population isn’t that dense, so a later season coupled with deeper snow and hunters targeting deer yards would put a hurting on the herd. Just my thoughts. Not sure if it makes sense. 😆
@@baraksinz for fifty years it’s been legal to bait deer here in NC ,SEASON open second Saturday of September and goes out first day of January, we have two million deer at the end of season , many years the limit was two a day , no season limit ,,now it’s five and only two bucks , since 1980 I don’t remember a year when you could not ride for the last hour of light and see hundreds ,,but ours are smaller than yours average buck 165

Let me get this straight. A guy who lives in Vermont knows more than a Maine native. Hal Blood who lives in Jackman. He knows more on Maine than anybody when it comes to tracking and Maine deer.
