David is a fantastic preacher, but is wrong on some of this info. I grew up in a horrible background and even at 75 years old am never picked for a committee, am always the last one chosen for any team activities, and in life am generally rejected by most. This is after counselling, hypnotherapy, and being born again. Even in the church I am smiled at and welcomed, but never invited to belong to or join anything important, because despite the smiles that are not sincere telling me how good it is to see me, the important issues always show me this is not so. Life is rejection after rejection, all because someone destroyed you before you were old enough to even understand what was going on. Just so you know, I am neither an alcoholic nor drug addict and am retired. In scripture, people were prayed for at 8 days old and told they would grow up a certain way, and it always happened. Joseph Stalin said, give me a child till he is three, then you can have him, but he will always be mine. This is the kind of evidence there is showing that childhood wrongful upbringing has permanent results. This is fact, no matter how much you try, or how many years go by. What I am telling you is my life experience.

Sorry for your experience. I too had a traumatic experience in childhood. My God can heal still. Nothing is permanent in Him!
