I would love to hear more not only about Furukawa but also a comprehensive history of all Nintendo presidents. I'm particularly interested in learning more about Mr. Yamauchi.
@@rutgerniemeijer Oh yeah, there's two. I was referring to the one who married into the Yamauchi family. He's a very intriguing figure to me for several reasons, not only because he made Nintendo into what it is today but also because he fostered the talent that would define Nintendo's modern approach to consoles, like Iwata and Gunpei Yokoi.
@@4Clubs Technically there have been Yamauchi presidents: - Fusijaro Yamauchi, first president and founder - Sekiryo Yamauchi (Kaneda), adopted into the family by marriage, led Nintendo through WW2, where not many people had money to buy playing cards. - Hiroshi Yamauchi, grandson of Sekiryo, took over in 1949 and made Nintendo into a video game manufacturer.
Nintendo's biggest advantage is that company run by actual game developers and people who are in video game business. Not washing machine sales man or marketing people. If you look at xbox executives, they all are marketing people.
Microsoft jump into the gaming business cause they saw how much money they can make for it. They never learn anything about the world of gaming while being apart of it for two decades. They thought money would solve everything but money isn't everything when you can't sell gaming system whit nothing unique enough to buy it.
Excellent analysis from the executives in charge of Nintendo. Regarding Koizumi, I don't think he was responsible for returning to the narrative and creative characters in the Mario spin-off games with the Remake of The Thousand Year-Door, that credit goes to the creator of the 3 first Paper Mario games, Ryota Kawade, who was the supervisor of the Remake and who handled the narrative and creative characters in the Mario games was Team IP and not Miyamoto. Also, it was never because Miyamoto forced Koizumi to stop making history in Galaxy 2, both Koizumi and Miyamoto agreed that they would not focus on the story in Mario Galaxy 2. After all, the two of them get along well even today. Koizumi continues to consult Miyamoto every time he develops a 3D Mario game since Sunshine. ''The world of management is in flux, and there is no guarantee that it will continue to grow forever. And even if something unexpected happens, managers cannot say, ''I had nothing to do with that''. Therefore, it is my job to strengthen the company's structure and create a company where employees and business partners will not be shocked no matter what happens.'' - Hiroshi Yamauchi - Cheers, Captain Hanafuda🎴👺♠
Could you perhaps add official subtitles to your video? I believe there's a pretty fast way to do it if you just give your script for the subtitles when uploading your video
My uncle who works at Nintendo
My uncle also works at nintendo! Weird coincidence I guess…
The uncle that makes you sit on his lap and make Thanksgivings awkward?

Which one of the Mr. Yamauchi's? Before Iwata it was basically a Family-run company.
But I guess that would be explained in such a video as well.

A video on shuntaro furukawa would indeed be interesting, your deep dives on the staff at nintendo are great in general
Reggie’s body is ready to lead all of nintendo
You recontextualized that meme into a cult reviving reggie using his body.
He overrated.
That guy who put Mario in unreal engine
institutional knowledge, experience, and wisdom
You mean it's not Mario?
great work as usual, you really should be more popular your content is better than most nintendo channels out there
As a native German speaker I gotta say, your pronunciation of "Gesellschaft mit beschränkter Haftung" (GmbH) wasn't too bad :D
This channel is like my autistic guilty pleasure.

It amazes me that this video doesn’t have over 100k views
I would like an explanation how all this titles relate at Nintendo? What is president vs CEO?
In Nintendo, the president is effectively the CEO.
Heaven...as in, leave luck to heaven...the meaning behind Nintendo 😊
3:33 I didn't know Phoenix Wright worked for Nintendo.
It must be Mario
Ah, how I miss Satoru Shibata's antics
I really need another 3D Zelda game with a story written by Koizumi 😭🙏🏼

I do.
I lead Nintendo.
This is all wrong. Everybody knows that Mario runs the place.
Can you talk about the new charging dock nintendo just revealed for joycons? Like why now? Could it be for switch 2 or smt?
I'll see if there's enough for a video - it'll be at least a week though.

I try to but had problems on this video - hopefully they're working now. Thanks for the comment.
I would say "who're the shareholders of Nintendo", cause they're the ones that make most of the decisions here instead of the team board.
What? If that was the case, Nintendo would be making mobile games exclusively.
I have a friend who’s uncle knows am person who once lead Nintendo. They also said Goku was in Smash 64.
