  • This video covers basics of using a dc fuseblock and a power station in a truck camper. It also goes over the Tune M1 camper wiring.
Most power stations will have their own overload protections on their supply ports, but you never know what station and supply port and wiring a person may hook up. To be sure your camper wiring is protected no matter which port on which power statio. is used, as well as direct connections to a battery, it is best to use a fuseblock or a circuit breaker panel.
I mess up between saying volts and watts several in here, I kept saying them so much

Great video and precisely the info I was looking for. I just bought a 2005 Four Wheel Camper, and It has a 12v fuse box that runs the lights, fan, etc... There is an old battery connection that runs to the fuse box under the seat in the camper. I don't want a new battery, so I will buy the same PECRON battery station and link the XT60 connectors wire straight to the fuse box. I will also check out that heater. My old heater is broken, and VEVOR is selling an all-in-one heater that looks perfect for my camper. Thanks

@@dave_in_azI wanted to ask. Where did you purchase that cable that runs from the power station to the fuse box? Thanks for the help.

I messed up saying Watts instead of Volts a few times, especially around 9:00, but hopefully my meaning is clear ;)
Then I totally spaced doing oublic math at 15:15 lol, took me a few seconds.

Regarding that usb-c connector.... wouldn't it be possible to cut that barrel connector off and connect to your dc fuse box?

Exactly what I am doing ;) But there are a lot of owners just plugging it into available power station ports, and some folks had issues using the USB C, which is what I was addressing there. I just wanted to test it as supplied a bit, before I cut their nice connectors off :) thx for the comment!

Did you get the solar port on your tune?

No, they don't actually offer that as a standard. The solar gland is easy to install and waterproof, it's best to wait until panels are on roof so you know actual best location. I'm still deciding on my panels. Thx for asking.

@@dave_in_az maybe it’s something new, But I placed my order with them 3 weeks ago and it was A $200 option that I selected. Supposedly they’re going to start offering their own solar panels on date of install as an option

Yep, new. They are finally moving along on adding stuff like heater, insulation, etc. I called to tell them where I wanted my solar gland actually, in Dec23, and was told they didn't do it. But they cost $15 and are easy to install ;)
