out of curiosity watched as I see about 10 dead American Woodcock in the city each morning during migration this time of year, they fly from north NJ USA to south NJ as warmer, but go thru the city and hit windows and if survive most have eye or brain damage. Some survive and are tube feed till recover. We have Great Black Gills that will swallow them whole, even beak when find the dead. A friend & I rescue songbirds when they migrate thru the city, birds hit the glass skyscrapers or fall to the cement, most do not survive impact.
