sir in 54:35 you have considered kinetic energy due to only one of the charges .... but if you have consider potential energy due to both the charge then i think that we should also consider kinetic energy due to both the charges .. i have done through this process also and my answered matched with that of the work method you have demonstrated
Is the Answer to the problem is KQ²/4(a-r)². In case I have considered a minus q at a distance 2(a-r) it a situation in which the zero potential surface of radius r is created.
