I am so late to the Weeknd party, but when I heard him on the radio in Los Angeles earlier this year I was hooked. Listened to him endless loops on youtube I think I am all caught up😍😍😍his voice is so beautiful, and his evolution is wow....
Supa Strikas it's so underrated by fans and charts too. Everyone's talking about trilogy bbtm and starboy but nobody's talking about this amazing album
He does "auto tune" or puts effects on his voice as a creative tool only! Voice box etc. but obviously doesn't need to to sing! It's a creativity thing not a fake thing. Beautiful voice!
I Remember when I was back in 7th grade 9 years ago. Heard my first song from him “wicked games” backed in 2011. Till now his my favorite artist, TRILOGY always hits in a different level. XOTWOD!
Dare I say it .. Yeah, I do. I am a major fan of Michael Jackson. I mean, a major fan. While I usually don't compare artists. No one since Michael Jackson has quite managed to strike my attention like ''The Weeknd'' has as of late. I have listened to music since the day I was born, listened to everything between oldies like ''Phil Collins'' and modern stuff like Rayven Justice - from James Morrison to Joey Bada$$. You get the point. Though there is just something special about ''The Weeknd''. I dont like comparing artists as I mentioned, though if there are anyone as close to Michael Jackson. It would be The Weeknd. Without a doubt. The substance, passion, voice, lyrics etc.. are just too perfect. Respect.
Lyric wise I'm going with the weeknd not saying he is better just when I look at the two artist they are like the same human being with distinct personalties. The weeknd lyrics are very dark and at many time something the average person can't relate too, he speaks his own story and forces us to unmask who the being we are listening to really is (ex high for this was about rape) Micheal Jackson is opposite being very relatable while having a little dark childhood other than that he is the light that everyone sees his music touches hearts and shows you the goodness in the world while the weeknd seems to be the darkness.... Mayb I'm the only one that thinks this but I agree they are comparable in the sense that they seem to be the same artist in a way just made to touch music in a different way
Right you are right Don't be afraid to say it. The Weeknd is more of a Darker R&B artists and he IS on MJ Level singing wise he isn't here for no reason. Also Fan base wise. This dude Singing BEAUTIFUL Pain, Darkness. Shit makes you feel depressed but good at the same time. He's like a Drug.
Trust me Vocalist The Weeknd wasn't even trying in the video. MJ and The Weeknds Voice are almost the Same MJ just olds school and but both of Them can Hit Note equally with High pitched tunes Trust me Just because MJ was in the Game before the Weeknd don't discredit him. It's like what they say out with the old on with the new
BBoyam902 .. My last statement remains. The Weeknd is truly a talented artist, though he is no place near being on Michael Jackson's level. ... I never discredited him by stating that Michael were on a level beyond music, period - because truthfully nobody is close to Michael due to him being the King of Pop, or music in my opinion .. Nonetheless. We all have different opinions. .. Though I doubt that The Weeknd himself agress with yours.
+Shadi Shans the goosebumps! if you dont get them its NOT good music! The first time I ever heard anything from him was Wicked Games and My body got chills and goosebumps and every song since
lol it's so strange to hear people only knowing about him from songs like "Often" or "Earned It". been listening to the weeknd since the early days when all you knew about him was he was an amazing and unique singer/songwriter, and if you googled him you would only see pictures of girls and balloons XD proud of this guy for blowin up the way he did
I agree! I remember telling people about The Weeknd back in like 2010 and them not knowing who he was. Look where he's gotten now, so proud! xo till we overdose
I can listen to this over and over it makes me feel sad cause of the emotion in his voice its so beautiful his voice is amazing and his lyrics are so good ..
He needs to make an acoustic version of beauty behind the madness because holy shit. I would say trilogy but that's pretty much already acoustic, I love it, it sounds like an album just full of jam sessions
I wish I was able to be a fan from the beginning and listen to his music when he first came out but when he did back at 2011 and 2012 I was in the 2nd and 3rd grade. I encounter wicked games on my pandora when I was entering the 5th grade, I just fell in love with the song. So when I searched him up on UA-cam he liked changed my music life. I listen to trilogy and his the original mixtape which were amazing projects. Then when I was entering the 6th grade I heard beauty behind the madness which was so amazing! That album changed my life! Then I heard his kiss land album which I fell in love right away. Now entering the 7th grade I am such a huge fan of The Weeknd, he's the main person that I listen to because he's just that great! Even though I'm not like an 18 year old, anyone can listen to him. His music just gives me this feeling that not that many other artist could do. He is one of my ideals and he is such an inspiration to me. New note: I forgot I had made this comment, I’m 16 now entering my junior year. In so glad so many people were able to relate to me back then and now🥺❤️ #XOTWOD

@@candycrush3932every album by the weeknd has its own beauty ...nowhere in his career he goes bad
Omg he needs to make an acoustic album this is soooo good!!! Love him XO
My heart wouldn't be able to handle that..That would make my entire life.

Bettt
This is timeless music
2020 ❤️
man the weeknd has such a beautiful voice
Kissland has to be the best album he has given
Supa Strikas nah the trilogy is the shit
Nikol G trilogy one of the best albums of the 2010s
it was my fav for sure kissland don't get enough love
Supa Strikas it's so underrated by fans and charts too. Everyone's talking about trilogy bbtm and starboy but nobody's talking about this amazing album
Yuneesh Pandian kissland is def number 1 for me. I can’t believe how underrated it is.
Just saw him live, vocals still don’t disappoint
Moment of silence for those who will never discover this gem
Come back to it
he's the only singer who actually sounds lik the song with or without the editing x'o twod
Josie Lopez in this genre maybe
It is called talent bro
Josie Lopez facts .
Jacquees sounds exactly the same live

TWINSBEMAKKIN Aww, so true 😌
true af
TWINSBEMAKKIN or they fade back in
He does "auto tune" or puts effects on his voice as a creative tool only! Voice box etc. but obviously doesn't need to to sing! It's a creativity thing not a fake thing. Beautiful voice!
true, autotune is just a creative tool for him, like you said. not like a dependancy.
@@actuallyarnav yeah.. and damnn.. we are fresh men in this comment section 😂😎

BBoyam902 .. Well he is not on MJ's Level when it comes to singing buddy. That might have been a little stretch ..
Aside from that, I agree.
Abel is sooooo talented!!! He has the most gentle voice that always gives me the chills😉
+Shadi Shans the goosebumps! if you dont get them its NOT good music! The first time I ever heard anything from him was Wicked Games and My body got chills and goosebumps and every song since
5 years later and still gives me the goosebumps
I cry every time I listen to this. It's like Angels are dancing in my ears.
lol it's so strange to hear people only knowing about him from songs like "Often" or "Earned It". been listening to the weeknd since the early days when all you knew about him was he was an amazing and unique singer/songwriter, and if you googled him you would only see pictures of girls and balloons XD proud of this guy for blowin up the way he did
I agree! I remember telling people about The Weeknd back in like 2010 and them not knowing who he was. Look where he's gotten now, so proud! xo till we overdose
***** and youtube is the ONLY place to hear music? lmao
Yeah. I caught on summer 2011 when they put out some ovoxo shit
I found him right in the March of 2012 💓
Omfg same !!!

Abel, just make a goddamn acoustic album for us!!! This was beyond amazing!
how can a human being sing so pure without missing one single note?
I love the pain in his voice. So refreshing.
He has such raw talent, I'd kill to see him live.
He sounds just like that live
Saw him live it was a dream 😭
We really need another one of these acoustic warm ups
enrique buendiaz nothing without you was the last he did
I can listen to this over and over it makes me feel sad cause of the emotion in his voice its so beautiful his voice is amazing and his lyrics are so good ..

I have so much love for this man it's unreal. Kissland matters too. XOTWOD
All fucken day xo

xo to the death 👄💞
I was really feelin Kiss Land tbh, people gave him crap for it because it wasn't the trilogy but to me it was still the real honest The Weeknd
Yes!!! So much respect and love for able! XOTWOD!
He needs to make an acoustic version of beauty behind the madness because holy shit. I would say trilogy but that's pretty much already acoustic, I love it, it sounds like an album just full of jam sessions
This is still top 50 acoustic performances of all time and this was a warm up. I thank the Heavenly Father for my ears. Been on this since pre 100k
Best male voice in rnb.... mos def mj rencarnation
He is a good artist and singer indeed, but I wouldn't call him a mj reincarnation. But I do like his music.
He has pretty much the same voice as mj
I completely agree
I prefer Miguel's vocals.
Solomon Boston he's good too... but not as good as the weeknd to me
I've been to many of his concerts and kissland was and still is the best shit ever. Fuck.
Everyone in the bronx likes the weeknd. I always find someone blastin his music in there cars. (:
^i bet you were fun at parties
Jask Singh Thanks dude.

It's 2019.im still here😂😂❣️❣️❣️

So much emotion in his voice in the town! Speechless! XOTWOD
This kid is the best singer I've ever heard gets you in your feelings so easily
exactly , you can be happy and turn you sad in a snap
You are so young you can do anything and become anyone in life. It looks likes like you have a gift for really appreciating music. If you ever wanna be a songwriter or musician start now. Start writing about how you feel. You could be great like him!
Faith Franco I'm 14 almost in 9th grade... so not too much older than you. but I feel the same way. I discovered him in 2013 when I first heard What You Need. I wasn't there at the very start either, but I still am XO for life. ♡
Faith Franco agree. im young too just like you
Same!! Well now im in 8th going to 9th now.
