This man's a legend he reccommended a tutorial in his own tutorial video
😄
You're one of the best teachers on UA-cam...no messing around. Just to the point and you can hear you're enjoying what you do! Great!!
Thanks Marleen.
@@TJFREE really learning a lot from you... 🔥 Thank you so much for all your lectures... They are super helpful...
@@puneetshakya3001 yeah
Can we just appreciate that he managed to solve my problem within a minute of the video? Keep on going!
Very informative tutorials, and I admire your very humble and earnest attitude. I'm very thankful!
I'm so glad and thankful for Your tutorial; on the one hand, I haven't touched Inkscape in years and I'm rusty af, and on the other, I didn't know about so many things, like that their official tutorial was an Inkscape file itself - ingenious...
Thanks a lot for your efforts for this comprehensive tutorial series
Thanks for the series! Very easy to understand and follow along!
Thank you SO MUCH for making this video! It's one of the best I've found so far. It's clear, concise and you showed the official Inkscape Tutorial Manual. You cleared up a lot of fogginess in my understanding of basic Inkscape techniques.
Thanks for a great video series, ive learnt so much since watching your videos and its super easy to understand unlike other videos out there.
I've said it before but I have to say it again. Thank you for all of these awesome (and free) tutorials! I have learned so much in such a short space of time.
This range of video's are just phenomenal. Straight to the point. THANK YOU.
What a powerful program!! Thank you so much for your tutorials!!! Short, easy to follow, to the point... love it!!
Thanks. Happy to help!
Thank you so much for this playlist! You're voice is so soothing, and easy to listen to.
I have a vinyl cutter that I use for a hobby/small business and I usually end up creating something in Photoshop and then having to just trace bitmap(usually not getting the exact result I want) but with your tutorials I am starting to be able to create all my designs straight through Inkscape as vectors.
Really well done!
Also, I had never looked at their own tutorials (didnt know they existed =/ ). Nicely pointed out and explained how you can actually "use" them. Many thanks
you're awesome
I like that you talk to us, you teach
it's encouraging when you said it's ok bc it's counterintuitive
Thanks Allen. I appreciate the feedback!
I have learned more from your tutorials then from any other method! I hope you will consider making more about Inkscape with real world applications.
Amazing lessons thus far. I've learned more from you in just a few hours than I have using Inkscape for several years now. The showing of the help file was amazing. I knew it was there, I just didn't realize it was interactive like that. Thank you!! I will continue watching, and liking. Thank you for taking the time to do these lessons.
Great to hear, and thanks for the feedback!
@@TJFREE you are great sir
Its 2024 and you actually helped me man, thanks a lot
In inkscape, just like in the workplace, unionization is a wonderful tool. Thanks for the tutorial comrade :)
Thanks so much for your tutorial on this subject... like the fact that you get straight to the point and no idle chit chat... Thank you
Your tutorials are really helpful! Thanks for taking the time to help all the rest of us
This was an amazing lesson, I learned so much, thank you! Have been loving your lessons, they're really easy to understand and follow
Lesson 12 has been the most helpful, thank you for the videos. I agree with a lot of the comments that each one shows us something that we didn't know, but lesson 12 has saved me a lot of headache.
Thanks Bill. I appreciate the feedback!
Wickedly great tutorial. I've been struggling with this for awhile. Thank you
Thank you! This is great. So glad you mentioned the tutorials.
Division; yes, I will be using that function often! That guide is going to be very handy, as well.
You are a wizard. Thank you for these tutorials
Great Tutorial! Thanks for making this video for us. I have been struggling with this for so long and you made it so clear. I am subbing right now!
Love ya man, you're a great guy, God bless you and give you all the satisfaction and happiness in life
FYI for anyone struggling with these options not working - make sure your paths are NOT grouped. If they are grouped, these buttons will do absolutely nothing.
Just select your paths, right click, and ungroup.
Then you can perform these union/difference/etc function just fine.
Hope this helps someone, cause it was a massive headache for me as a newbie haha
Thank you so much for pointing this out! I felt like I was beating my head against the wall with this one!
Yeah I think this happened to me too. Thank you!
concise and precise, hats off!
Thank you so much, your lesson is the best, it not only give the learning but also the approach of making designs, moreover tell us the inner tutorials.
Thanks so much for these videos, they're so helpful!
Quick help. Thanks for the help. Great video!
Glad you mentioned close without saving. I was worried if I used the tutorials I would mess them up. LOL Loving your tutorials.
Thanks TJ I was trying to do quick subtract and I was unable to do because instead of union I did just group the objects. This video helped me to troubleshoot.
Wow! Been learning from you all day! Thanks so much!
You're welcome!
This series is fantastic.. I didn't realise inkscape was so powerful
It is nice that you mess up from time to time. If I ever mess up in the same way, I will be able to recognize what I have done. Thanks!
Thanks Joseph, that's the way I see it too. I appreciate the feedback.
Great series!
Nice content! Im moving to Inkscape from Illustrator, beacuse im using windows, and I love open source! So ... your tutorials are being my course! And I'ts very nice to have it!
Glad to hear it, Matheus. I wish you the best of luck!
Great video! Useful info. Thanks!
Excellent job, especially showcasing where to find the information. Some may have kept this info to themselves purely for additional UA-cam views.
Thank You 6:55 Path Exclusion. I’ve watched so many of your videos, couldn’t remember this path until after 17 lessons until last one 1/2 wat through it 😳
Thanks for all your tutorial, really good.
You're welcome, Damaris!
Well done explanation of these tools, thanks!
Sure thing, Brian! I appreciate the feedback.
Great. You are real teacher
Thanks for sharing. These are great
Really amaze how inkscape is powerful for vector graphics
Thanks for your useful video again! 👍☺️😃😃
Great video!!!
ahh now this is the usefull part xD. great tutorial series.
we had to learn to basics to understand some of these more Complex subjects i like it!
You are an awesome being.
Great tutorial. Many thanks..
6:00 To suppress snap only while positioning an object, without deactivating it, you can press shift while moving the object. At least in the most recent version, don't know back then...
BTW loving these tutorials, thanks for the effort you made!
Good info, thanks for sharing!
Very helpful!!!
Thank you so much for this
29.10.2020 I am still using. Thank you for tutorilas
these tutorials are MEGA
Thank you bhai, really thankful ❤️
great videos, ty
Thank you! 🥰😘😘
Great tutorial
thank you very very much for your effort sir👏👏👏👏👏
Great help 👍
Love this series--so helpful!--and I have an issue. I made the mushroom shape, did union, then the mouse ears, did union. Then when I tried to cut the path using the 2 with them intersecting only at halfway, I end up with no fill and figured that out quickly...makes sense. The "cut path" of these two gave me a mushroom cut in half with the shape of the ears, which I expected, but the right side of my mushroom also has a semicircle "bite" out of it that wasn't there before, and it's on the side of the mushroom that was NOT covered by the mouse ears. Any thoughts? I've done it repeatedly and get the same thing every time.
Thank you!
Nice video for beginner so thanks bro
Sweet, All my tools are here so far.
Thanks a lot!
Is there a way to do path difference on top of an image with a mask? It doesn't work for me after I distress image. I would of done it earlier had I thought about it.
Thank you
that was cool how you taught how to make the bite mark, I was lol when it worked.
I appreciate this video series as the tutorials wont open for me
Excellent video and very helpful. I have a question but not sure if this is the place to ask it. I make optimised svg files to upload into the game Gran Turismo sport, however if I create something like a license plate that has multiple layers, a lot of the time in the game it appears blank but it uploads perfectly into the game. Why might this happen? I think it’s something to do with the layers not been combined together properly. Once I have a plate made I normally go object to path, highlight all layers and group them.
🙏🏼🙏🏼 grateful
Maybe you should show how to use the cut path with the image from video 11. Just a thought, really love what you are teaching here
thank you bro
Hi! First of all, thank you for the tutorials, I really like them and they are very helpful! Thank you very much! I just had one question about the difference function: how does it decide which part to keep? For example if I have a square and a circle and I want to keep the circle with the square part cut out, how can I make sure it doesn't keep the square with the circle part cut out? I am trying a lot and sometimes it keeps the part I wanted, but sometimes it cuts out the wrong part. How can I make sure it keeps the part I want?
I think it cuts out the thing you add last.
thanks to your labors TJ :) I have a problem here. I used a lot of layer to do a svg file. but I cant do 'path>difference ' on this file. what's the problem?( I did group all of layer and just one image)
How to separate crossing objects into separated elements, something liku You did at 8:30? For example I have a cross and want to separate all its arms and square inside but keep its shape to move them around. Great tutorials by the way.
Hey how do we remove the initial used setting while drawing new object?
Thanks
Great vid! Corel does the same with photos. How can I do this with Inkscape? Thanks
Union! perfect! AweFKGsome!
Thank you for these tutorials.
What if I want to divide the canvas into four quadrants, and whatever I draw in one quadrant will automatically appear (as a mirror image) in the other 3 quadrants?
I know I can duplicate and flip manually, but then if I want to make any changes, I need to duplicate again. Is there any way in inkscape to have part of the canvas be a perpetual automatic mirror image of another part? Thank you.
Hi Karen. I'm not sure if Inkscape can do this in real time, but I don't recommend Inkscape for any freehand drawing. I know Krita can be divided into halfs, quadrants, and more for freehand drawing and works it amazing!
@@TJFREE Thanks, I'll check Krita out. I didn't mean for freehand drawing, but for technical drawings, like for drafting sewing patterns.
When i combine 2 shapes so that it makes a hard border between the two and i then try to fill one side with another color it just pulls a bunch of empty spaces around the lines out of nowhere. When i try to fill those it fills it with empty space between the last fill and the line. I cant figure out where it keeps pulling those borders from
I have a question about stroke and the difference tool say i have a card or in this case just a rectangle and i have a deep stroke is there anyway to remove the stroke in the area of the cut becuase the border for the card moves into the cut instead of going away and leaving just the fill in that area.
In your last video you mentioned that you would teach us how to get rid of unecessary parts of a picture. How do we do that.
Hello, thanks for the tutorial, but i have a doubt, because I imported another svg image i made in another file, but even then i cant intersect them.... hope you can help me, thanks again!
I made a 36 concentric point to point circle Taurus in LibreCAD. I then converted the .dxf file to .png. I imported the .png to Inkscape, then I did Trace Bitmap. How do I color each individual square? Will I have to use the Bezier tool and trace? If that is the case, I could have just imported the .dxf file. Tracing using the Besier tool will not be exact. Is there a way to separate each individual square? Thanks for your help!
In one of your videos I learned how to "clip" an image into a circle. I did that to make some magnets, but the print preview and actual print didn't print the "clipped" background. I don't know how to fix that. I hope you can advise.
God bless u
I am watching this on my iPad, can I download the same on here as in my laptop with the one billing price. Thanks
Is there anyway you can explain the oath intersection tool better I'm having the hardest time to get it to work the way your mentioning in the watermelon video
Great series of tutorials. I am having a problem with trying to modify objects as in the case of concentric circles. I could send a picture of what I am after if you have an email. Thanks..
Combine is in the title, yet nothing about it in the video. But thanks for the tip with tutorials!
Good catch, thank you!
how do you use difference on a imported raster image , i have been trying but it's hell i need your help please
Question: around timeline 7:20 where you do an Exclusion path on the star in the loaf of bread, It makes the star Transparent (I get that). WHAT IF you say wanted the star to have a color (non transparent) using that same effect? Can you color it in after the fact?
Thanks....
