I passed my medical school admission’s test because of Kobe and D Wade. I was watching documentaries on those guys and their competitive mindset got to me. Now here I am, year 4 out of 6 of this medical school journey.

I just discovered JJ’s podcast. This along with the other podcasts/productions are awesome to watch. It’s great listening to NBA players that used to compete against each other talk about all sorts of things.
As a Milwaukee native I followed d wade from Marquette made me a heat lifer ever since thanks for everything bro it was nothing like seeing you in Miami playing for the heat had the arena rocking moment like that is what ima tell my kids

Great stuff JJ. One of my closest friends played with D. Wade on that final 4 Marquette team. Karon Bradley was his name.
Hearing him speak on being at an away game and seeing a kid wearing his jersey motivating him to put on a show was really cool, i was that kid in Charlotte at a bobcat’s game to AI; during a timeout i stood up and screamed lets go AI and he was walking to the huddle and definitely heard me and he looked up to where i was at in the stands and I remember the feeling of being so stoked that he actually saw me showing love and support. Before social media it felt like it was a rare thing to get to show your fav players your support. Crazy how vividly you remember small things like that. Loved this episode Jj. Would be so dope if you did a interview with Iverson!!
JJ coming from someone who listens to podcasts 6-8 hours a day, this is one of the best. It'd be great if they were a bit longer, and i'm sure with most of your guests, who have had 12+ year careers theres still a ton of amazing content left to be revealed

JJ, Tommy, I think one thing that could be beneficial for the speed round is giving three topics from which the guest can choose. D-Wade wasn't too familiar with movie villains and another topic would've probably been better for him. I think something which revolved around fashion would've worked well considering D-Wade is recognized as one of the most stylish players to have played in the NBA

Yea those games are entertaining each bucket scored is more exciting because they come less frequent and u can tell every point scored was earned i like watching shootouts to but i definitely get what u mean
I think the problem is that it is becoming too common. If these threes and no defense fast breaks happened less often I would get more hype.

JJ is really great at interviewing man, his voice, the way he articulates, sense of humor, the connection with his guests. My impression of JJ previously was “white psychopathic ball player”. Early in his career, he just looked so damn ANGRY 😡.
