High-quality instruction is indeed important, but there's nothing in Mike Miles's record that shows that he knows how to foster it or find it.

Better things are yet to come, I hope! Get rid of nepotism favoritism and schools should do well.too many Principals create titles in high pay grades for friends and relatives..that needs to stop

They aren’t. He is awful. He is worse than a dictator. Just ask any of us who had him in DISD.

Please tell? I have worked under many principals who delegate all their work . And watch illegal ,unethical things go on under their noses but still do nothing. Informed with a so called Counselor for years who came to work an hour late everyday, would go work out in the weight room, then go to.lunch for hours then leave to pick up her own kids before 3 .. this went on everyday! Students going unserved. Principal fully aware and she getting paid to do this!? I'm sure if they just speak to the " support staff" they won't like what they hear!

So a Teacher Apprentice (non- Certified Teacher) will make a salary of 68k and teachers that are certified in the district will not make that unless they have 10 years of experience? Make it make sense.

People are complaining about his plan but not realizing that what was in place wasn't working. So can he at least TRY something different? It may not work, but then again, it just might work.

You’re correct it could work but you need to do research and see what it was like for those of us here in Dallas to work under him. He screwed the district up even more

If you’re in Houston ISD pray for the teachers and staff. He is a nightmare. I worked in DISD when he was here and from day one he brought the district down. I had a teacher friend who did two tours in Iraq and he said working under miles was more stressful.

@@juliotzocjr40 how many years and what and where did you teach? Obviously you taught and were the best and had a class size of 5 kids who were in a coma. What do you do that’s harder than teaching? It might be tougher but to say teaching is so easy is an insult. And if it’s so easy why aren’t you doing it?
