Thank you. Be careful at the part where you need to save the 3 people to get the key for the door at the start of the level. I think it's in level 10 not sure. The level where you send everyone to safety i forgot one person. You will hear a cough. That one was to the right where is the bar with many tables everywhere, second floor. And the part where the explosion scares the alien if i remember correctly i run to take a log. That one can be taken later. Otherwise you will take some heat damage. I didn't knew at the time that i can come back and i was afraid i will lose the log.
I’m tying to get the platinum for this game this video helps a lot to find the collectables, right now I’m at 56:18 into the video it would of been easier to see if you turned the brightness up to max
At 2:56:56 you can go down the stairs to the right and you will find another person to save. I forgot to do that. If i remember correctly there are 3 to send them to a safer place and the last one will give a code for the first door to the left where you start the level where the elevators are. You can hear him cough sometimes.
Hi there, AI speedrunner here, Good playthrough, however with the use of a mod to supress the alien frontstage mode to a minimum, i understand why because at nightmare level it becomes almost impossible to collect everything with the alien unpredictably dropping from the vents every 2 minutes. At san cristobal medical facility, you keep going taking advantage of the alien being trapped at the dropping from the vent animation, however when you grab the keycard from dr. morley body, the alien animation time is over, when you started running in the hallway all the way to open the door to get back to khulman he would have dropped from the vent and chase you. and at the lab, where Colonial Marshal Waits use you as bait, when you use the hack tool to get admin rights to the last terminal, the Alien is scripted to drop from the vent right after you hack the computer, it didnt drop, that gave the use of the mod away right there. Again i am not judging you, as i said previously, i fully understand your reasons, It was a entertaining video nevertheless, good job.
It's not a mod... it's an exploit. I don't use cheats in games... unless is something like Bioshock 2 with no game plus and i need those 3-4 missing upgrades for the weapons... thanks to the laziness of the developers.
You have to give credit on this particular brand. There are actually two lines of making good "Alien" games. One, the "classic" one is that gives you some of the best horror games ever. The second one is the FPS/Strategy games with the Colonial Marines. Again, we had some good titles until now since Alien Colonial Marines, Alien Firefight Elite and Alien Dark Descent. There's a reason why Alien and Halo are my top favorite games ever.
i've been playing this game since six years ago, in 2018. some days ago, i completed the game, mostly by not using any items nor killing any humans, no flamethrower against the alien, and never i tried to distract him with the items that you can craft or obtain. unfourtunately, in some parts, like when the androids come out from the fire in that room with mayny weapons and ammunations , i had to use EMPS to disactivate them and hit them with the maintenance jack. ive had used the flamethrower against the facehuggers into the vents. i'd wish someone tried to play this way, no items, weapons and no saves but it's impossible to avoid some scenes where you just have to use the weapons.
I have a video on my channel of me killing the joes using only a flashlight. But I get your point, there are some parts of the game where you have to use expendables to progress. Like the forced damage after the explosion in the medical reception.
Mission 5!!! I’ve spent 2 hours trying to sneak my way past the alien in “Hard” mode and keep dying. Only to find out you can sprint till you get Marley’s keycard and the alien won’t chase you 😅😅 now I can finally move past this section 😂
You forgot the 0482 side quest in Mission 10 (alerting a lady in the upper side lounge of Systech Lobby and then the lady in Tech Support near the dead guy in the chair who then gives you a code to an otherwise inaccessible room in Systech Transit you must backtrack to before opening the door adjacent to Tech Support help desk terminal).
I know. I already said about that in the comments. You can open that door even later in the game. I missed the woman coughing where are the sofas, but i know that i got every code/collectible from the game.

I just replayed mission 5 on my PS3, that's right (3), Nightmare, took me three tries to get through with no alien. Caught me at door just before Kuhlman, then keycard door, third try however. used keycard then walked to Kuhlman, didn't run. That probably would have worked on my first try. At that point, whether you activate the first cutscene with Kuhlman or not, go back through the Psychiatric Ward door and search to your hearts content. However, dont run, hit crap with the maintenance jack or fire the gun, in other-words, Be Quiet, otherwise, guess who's comin to dinner. In conclusion, Ako&Julius , congrats on this video, so many parts have helped me immensely. GAC
Hey, I have a question. At 2:02:06 the Alien drops automatically. That also happened to me during my first playthrough, but for some reason it didn’t happen during my second playthrough. I’ve also watched lots of videos where that exact thing happens. Do you know why?
Nope. Maybe a glitch. I remember when i played the game, in the level where you have to backtrack, that i encountered a glitch (if you go back to the start of the level, the part where you have to crouch through the vents, there is an invisible wall and you are stuck there so i had to restart from a checkpoint). Another glitch with the bolt gun where, after you take it, it will reaper when you return to that section. You can take the weapon again but no ammo in it. :))
@@akojulius3777 thanks for answering. I had to restart mission 7 a lot of times until the Alien came down automatically. Now, I’m about to start mission 10.
@@alexmichaelraccoonplays8777 You're welcome. At 2:56:55 down the stairs to the right (if i remember correctly) is the 3rd survivor... i forgot to save that one.
You have to make sure none of the 3 dudes spot you or say something like "did anyone else see that?" if they think they saw you. Just stay crouched on the second floor and they won't know you're there. Then when you get to the bottom of the stairs the scene should trigger. Basically getting spotted or almost spotted ruins your chance to get it.
Nice android roasting technique in Mission 11, but you forgot a name tag that can only be gotten by re-entering the lounge and going through a now openable shutter after clearing out the lobby.
Thanks. I collected everything from what i remember. I even made a video with All Archive Logs, ID Tags, Nostromo Logs. I will have to watch the walkthrough at some point and verify everything... again. Some of the collectibles can be taken even later in the game.
So.. When U did all in Chapter 5 with the key U can back to all rooms and there is no alien? Or it is but You must walk not run? I talked about 1:24:24, after that. And in chapter 6, in the beginning, after climbing ladder, U are save after watch video 8:15:30?
The Alien will be almost everywhere. There are certain location where you are safe. I used some exploits of the A.I. in the game that's why in some parts he doesn't appear. You can find a video on youtube with rules and exploits in the game.
You sometimes make like a hopping motion, rapidly going from crouch to walk and back. Why is this? Does this give a bit more speed from walking instead of crouching while also making the same noise as crouching? What is the reasoning here?
I've finally finished watching this whole video. It's simply fantastic. Shortly after 6:22:38 is another highlight. So scary! Do you not take damage at 4:04:08 when the person shoots at you? Isn't that what the grunt Ripley makes indicates? The play at 7:01:00 should have cost you the gameplay. I don't understand how the Seegson security didn't see you! Was that the game glitching out at 7:44:15 when you discovered the room unlocked with no Nostromo log or blueprint? Given how difficult this feat is, how much time went into getting this gameplay?!
Thank you very much. I was wondering the same thing at 4:04:08 (she only screams like she is spooked by the sound and you don't see the image or the corners changing color in red like when you get hit in other games) I think it's a glitch with the guards. (the same goes with the alien if you stay still and he gets pass by you... pray it doesn't hit you with the tail because you are dead :)) It's not a glitch at 7:44:15. I unlocked that room in the 16th mission. There you will have a big glitch if you try to go forward... you are not meant to do that (and it's time consuming... not that i didn't waste a lot of time with boring people with the reading, the "extended" dancing and singing with the androids around the fire strategy, and others which cost me more than an hour in the walkthrough). I was showing where you can find that blueprint. If you read down in the blueprint menu you can see it's already level 3. That's when you normally have to take the upgrade. I can't say it's that difficult. It was more difficult to upload the video on youtube. It took me one week and the video was still in 1080p. :)) (i re-uploaded many times the video and everything was solved after i gave up... not to mention feedback to youtube about the problem :)). I think it took me like 5-6 days to finish the game. (i wasn't free enough to work on the game full time). I'm not into stealth games unless they are horror... and with weapons. (i tried to play Hitman never got into it, i am sick and bored of Amnesia kind of games... run for your life with no way to defend yourself). This one is a masterpiece. I hope they make a second one. The game ends on a cliffhanger.
@@phat-Rat I started the game on Nightmare and i wasn't sure if i got or not hit there. No white corners or red or anything to warn you that you got hit. I played the game once when it was released on Normal. The second time it's what you see here.
Yes they are... but in short supply. If you want to get more stay next to a save station, save, loot and load until you get what you want, repeat. You have a 5-15% chances of getting something but doing this thing chances are increased for you to hit that 5-15%.

That pipe bomb that you place at the hallway on 7:37:27 almost sound like a noisemaker. I though it was the noisemaker at first but, when you went back, I see the alien had left a trail of blood when it got hit. Do you use noisemakers often in this game?
Depends on how many craftable items do you find, how do you want to aproach a situation and the difficulty level. Less difficult means more items to craft. But i see them more like tools for "save your life" or tactical situations.
During Mission 3, I screwed up after picking the hacking device and went back to the main hub area. Is there any way I can go back into the room and get past them all and go upstairs without killing anyone?
I really love how the entire time through the hospital the alien never came around with alll the running and doors opening and knocking stuff over that happened but then again seems not legit cuz all that noise its impossible for the alien to not show up that thing would always be up your butt with all that noise so obviously mods or cheats of some kind were used,
I don't think there are cheats or mods anywhere for this game. Instead search on youtube tips and tricks for the game and you will understand why the alien doesn't come out.
Hello! Not even close. There are achievements like kill 10 humans or use vents 30 times... Here is a link: avp.fandom.com/wiki/Alien:_Isolation_trophies/achievements
It wasn't like this when i played the game and i made the mistake of using chromatic aberration and that's what make the game look even more like sh!t... at least on youtube because the quality of the video it's not the same thanks to the fact that youtube is altering the video when you upload it.

Now that i watch the video, you are right, it is a little darker.
Nearly a decade on and this still holds up. Desperately want a remake though..
I said the same thing.
You mean a sequel?

I can't believe you made it through essentially the entirety of Mission 5 without encountering the Alien once lol that's insane!!!

i've been playing this game since six years ago, in 2018.
some days ago, i completed the game, mostly by not using any items nor killing any humans, no flamethrower against the alien, and never i tried to distract him with the items that you can craft or obtain.
unfourtunately, in some parts, like when the androids come out from the fire in that room with mayny weapons and ammunations , i had to use EMPS to disactivate them and hit them with the maintenance jack.
ive had used the flamethrower against the facehuggers into the vents.
i'd wish someone tried to play this way, no items, weapons and no saves but it's impossible to avoid some scenes where you just have to use the weapons.
I have a video on my channel of me killing the joes using only a flashlight. But I get your point, there are some parts of the game where you have to use expendables to progress. Like the forced damage after the explosion in the medical reception.
Thank you for making this masterpiece, absolute legend 👏.
Thank you too and you're welcome.
1:52:33 Am I the only one who thinks that drone died?
Weird. After speeding through to get Morley's Keycard in Mission 5, the alien doesn't appear at all.
There are many exploits in the game where the alien "forgets" about you.😅
@@akojulius3777 Tried it out on the Switch earlier. Mission 5 becomes incredibly trivial in regards to the objectives and collectibles.
Mission 5!!! I’ve spent 2 hours trying to sneak my way past the alien in “Hard” mode and keep dying. Only to find out you can sprint till you get Marley’s keycard and the alien won’t chase you 😅😅 now I can finally move past this section 😂

Sorry... i forgot that the game is full of vents :)). The vents from the start of the game, the collapsed ones.
1:23:00 How are you running in the presence of the Alien? If I did that he would on my tail in two seconds.
There are many exploits in the game. There are videos on youtube with exploits and tips.
If only they made movie out of this it would've been more thrilling since the first alien movie.

Nice android roasting technique in Mission 11, but you forgot a name tag that can only be gotten by re-entering the lounge and going through a now openable shutter after clearing out the lobby.

1:24:26 You got the keycard, so why isn't the cutscene triggered when you return to the Doctor the first time around?
I think you need to be closer.
You sometimes make like a hopping motion, rapidly going from crouch to walk and back. Why is this? Does this give a bit more speed from walking instead of crouching while also making the same noise as crouching? What is the reasoning here?
You gave the answer yourself. 👍

Are *any* of the bodies or containers lootable on Nightmare difficulty?

I think it's possible. I played the game like 3 years ago so i don't really remember everything because i finish it quite fast, like 4-5 days.
@@akojulius3777 It's alright. I restarted from the beginning. The rest of the game is far more lenient.
I really love how the entire time through the hospital the alien never came around with alll the running and doors opening and knocking stuff over that happened but then again seems not legit cuz all that noise its impossible for the alien to not show up that thing would always be up your butt with all that noise so obviously mods or cheats of some kind were used,
