The other huge issue with Pokémon Go was for people like me who didn't live in a huge city, After it came out, I tried to play it for after two weeks, it was unbearable because I would have to walk several miles to get any kind of items, let alone Poké balls to catch them. They stated it would be fixed, but it never was for small towns. Even now, years later, nothing was ever done. So that alone lead so many people to GPS hack the game just to be able to play it without spending a paycheck to do something on it.
Considering you go solo in the games and face off against almost everyone, and the anime has a group of friends traveling and growing together.... yeah
Pokémon is always about friendship and humans live together with their Pokémon. not a 10 year old immortal fatherless trainer traveling with his unevolved Pikachu! I'll go and watch Pokémon chronicles, origins, generations, Twilight wings, Evolutions, pokétoons and Hisuian snow all over again.
Pokemon is one of the main things that inspired me to draw. I'm always gonna be a hobbyist, but I learned to finally freehand after never getting certain lines or whatever right, even while tracing. Stupid Charizard and his foot... :P
I played scarlet and violet and thankfully I haven’t encountered many glitches thankfully but with all these reports about glitches it makes you realize that game developers need to time to work on these games and that you shouldn’t push them to release as soon as possible; it’s hard but the wait is worth. I wonder if those who made/make complaints about Pokémon due the same thing to Bakugan and Digimon since they are similar to Pokémon.
The only glitches I've encountered so far were the standard open world weirdness and this creepy bug which causes players to stop emoting, and moving their mouths. The latter bug made the eating cutscenes unsettling and creepy. You'd think it'd be far buggier woth all the complaints.
I never had any huge issues with my copy of Violet. The worst I ever encountered was one of my pokemon clipping through level geometry during a battle and even then that only happened once.
Two honorable mentions: Star Fox Adventure: Krystal’s design was probably controversial to parents. Tibia: A teenager in Brazil killed one of his fellow players over in-game money.
My copy of Violet is NOT this screwy, lol! Man, those poor people who got those copies. I mostly seem to find more background related issues since the whole rotating camera deal is honestly hard to work with. I guess the thumbnail was a result of one of those glitches? Because yo, what the heck is going on with that poor trainer and Pokemon? :o That is NOT where you store your Pokemon, kid! Regarding controversy, some of the villains defintely do have their extreme moments, such as Ghetsis "liberating" Pokemon and his attempt to kill kids (MC and N) with the legendary Pokemon, backstories regarding abuse (aka: Guzma, N, the rival from Gold/Silver/Crystal) and even some offgame difficulties (like Wally may actually be sick or fighting a life threatening disease in the manga? I'm not sure about this one, maybe it was an AU/headcanon from an online friend). And of course some characters die onscreen during the anime (Lysandre and supposedly Cyrus), also while trying to commit serious crimes such as genocide, even if they say it's "better for the world/humans/Pokemon". But I admit, controversies aside, Pokemon isn't meant to be all sunshine and rainbows. Without these villains, characters, and teams, let's be real: It would just be a game of fluff, and that's not fun. Does it look like animal cruelty? Sometimes. But also, not all Pokemon are animals! Aside from obvious examples of humanoids like Mr. Mime and Jynx (the latter also bringing controversy due to former racial stereotypes), there are "objectmon", such as the Magnemite chain, Beldum chain, and plain spirits like the Gastly chain and Pokemon like the Pawniard chain that can become vicious on their own right (whether it be fighting for territory or just being cruel). Even one of Gengar's (if I remember correctly) Dex entries mentions "if you see a Gengar behind you, you're done for", basically. So pretty much, you encounter one, you're dead. Bisharp has a Dex entry that says "it slices its prey to ribbons with its blades", which if you think of what any of said "prey" could be...Yeah, gruesome stuff. I personally love Pokemon for what it is, because tbh, I prefer some action and quality stories in my games. And Pokemon hasn't made a major plot in a T or M rated setting, something I'm very thankful for because I honestly can't see myself enjoying it in any other way. I just wish the modern lingo would leave. I have that gripe about S/V.
Lol, I remember when Pokemon Go was in it's early stages and everyone with a cellphone was playing. At my University there was a BIG sign around the main offices and the infirmary that said "Warning: Beyond this point, it is prohibited to catch Pokemon!" (You can't make these things up ^_^0)
Speaking of Scarlet and Violet, I'm staying away from the game for awhile since we been having reports from people that there is bug in the game that corrupt your save file, like literally wiping out everything you played through. So yeah. I'm not sure what's up with Nintendo and Gamefreaks for letting this situation happen. Gonna wait until they patch the game.
That's what I Been hearing as well. Personally Im going to get the older ones before it since I hear those are great games . Also I have other games like outlast 1 and 2 to play for example.
The game got released too early. Game developers need to take their time making new games. They don’t need to be perfect but they need to be fun and functional. Waiting is hard but in the end it’s better to wait a long time for a good game then get a glitching game sooner.
Fortnite is rated T for teen meaning it isn't specifically aimed at kids. So it doesn't surprise me that they would add Rick and Morty and other characters from adult themed shows and movies
I heard of a Pokémon Go incident where a driver caused a chain collision because he saw a rare Pokémon while driving. Seriously, put away your phone while driving. I've seen my cousin play the game. We were on street and there didn't seem to be many cars around so it was a fine place to play. The whole Pokémon series is controversial? I thought it was just Scarlet and Violet.
I feel like Pokemon as a whole is controversial; From former canon designs (Jynx was big when it was first released due to a black stereotype; This was in both the game and anime due to the face) to what fans do to certain designs (if you want to avoid NSFW art, don't look up fanart of Gardevoir or Lopunny for example, or you will be ruined), to certain villain roles and goals (Lysandre, Cyrus, pretty much anyone past Team Rocket but probably excluding Team Skull onward), and the manga...Yeah, there's some pretty crazy stuff I didn't know about until checking out vids about them. I didn't even know about the bent golf clubs at Guzma's parent's house. I didn't get too far into looking at that, tbh.
So with little big planet you decided not to talk about the huge hacking spree of adult imagery that caused the developers to shut down both little big planet 1 & 2s servers for ps3s cutting off there player base and you chooses to focus on cultural song lyrics

I hope Pokémon becomes less controversial in the future, things need to change.
Crash Twinsanity. In addition to a few technical issues, such as inability to skip cutscenes, some of the content in the game doesn’t seem fitting at all for kids
Fortnite and Whiplash are both rated for teens. If parents don't like content aimed at 13+ for their kids then don't let them have access to it. Simple as that.

Fortnite is such a terrible game and heavily pushed the idea to rush games and developers for quick cash and fame. It ruined everything that made gaming fun. Also the idea of building before the new update was dumb because kids would spam or use mods to build faster. Such a ridiculous idea for a game. It’s also pushed the stupid idea of remaking the game every season to keep it “alive”
Don't forget fortnite wasn't development since 2010 and released in 2017 early access until the full released in September 2017 with its battle royale added and it gained popularity But that doesn't change the fact you should not chase a trend it you should innovate a trend in the case of Apex Legends That game was shadow dropped in 2019 Not only this was respawn unique take on a battle royale but also takes elements from Overwatch and added a ping system
I still can't believe people would let kids play that game despite the T rating. I don't play it, so I wonder if either you don't need an Epic Games account to play or kids are smart enough to do that and not let their parents know they have that game...
@@Fictionboy16 I don’t get how anyone over 18 would want to play it. It’s literally a kids game that has a T rating. It’s the most bizarre thing to come out of the gaming industry. Next to manhunt controversy and micro transactions
I feel Roblox is very controversial for it content and also not being appropriate for kids. If Roblox see this. They remove your video thinking that Roblox itself is innocent and has nothing to do with controversy
1. HEY! At least the Pokémon games still have at least one advantage (for the most part): BEING PLAYABLE! I NEVER ran into any bugs or glitches when playing Pokemon Scarlet! All I got were a bunch of random crashes.
Seriously? Wasn’t that “switch to 2D to 3D is the franchise’s decline” was echoed by older Sonic fans when they originally felt about the 3D entries after 06’s unfinished rushed state ruined the franchise?
To this day, when playing pokemon Scarlet and Violet, none of my friends nore I once experienced game breaking glitches the way many other players did. Or at all, really. And I don't believe such problems could have occured without people fucking up their game by trying to use mods or hacking the game or their system had been previously hacked. I have yet to meet someone who claimed their game had horrific glitches who either conveniently couldn't and/or refused to prove their system wasn't corrupted in some way.
I have no idea if its even possible to hack a Lite somehow but mine (Scarlet, havent played Violet) was so broken I canned it for a refund and I didn’t even get it right when it came out like everyone else 😭
The only problem I’ve had were with the tera raids. Instead of each Pokémon attacking one at a time, they have everyone go at once which sometimes causes connection problems or slows the game down.
I never experienced a glitch like these either. The most I may have are small background problems. Earlier today, I did have a wild Pokemon run toward me and I paused the game before it hit, and the game said "waiting", but I may had pushed a button because it came up with buying Wifi stuff, so I probably accidentally tapped the DLC panel while setting the console down. xD
Ah, brings back memories of when I was 13 years old and playing Pokemon. I can't believe I was mind controlled into going round my friends house and throwing my budgie at their dog expecting to win!
I Know lots of games get in trouble for religion wither its crosses on tomb stones or chanting in Zelda temples religion comes up in many games. Enough to be its own list I remember Animal Crossing being used for a lot of things Trump and Biden , BLM, Blue Lives, McDonalds, KFC, 7UP it got a lot of us banned from face book who started to make rules that got any one supporting the wrong side banned from the group. I also remember Nintendo removing Swap Note because people were sending inappropriate images with it and Nintendo could be bothered to mod it. That move cut off the only way I had to communicate with some people. 2nd life and ever quest had issues with people spending and making IRL money on digital objects I think Fortnite had issues with DLC characters who got removed basically ANY online game especially ones with a create mode will be used for inappropriate communications. Not just one or two but like all of them Parents need to know this does happen and kids need to know not to plan meet ups Pokémon Go was HUGE in the news. Tress passing, Mugging, finding dead bodies, people the game of vandalism , people accusing the games of theft of Pokémon, a lot of verry insane stories Pokémon its self was big with stories of Satanic worship and practicing magic too' 'as for sponsored Pokestops I see nothing wrong with it. its a way to attack business. Its smart and its not pay to use.
Same here. When it comes to other games . All of them will have toxic people. When it comes to that , it's best to ingore them since they are too scared to say anything to you from behind a microphone.
@Reaperguy67 true guess just every time I would play it I would get a lot of hate mail and voice messages cause they couldn't take a loss so for the sake of my mental health I just took it off from my ps5 and I avoid any online games I'm more on story driven games

Watchmojo knew what they were doing with this video's thumbnail. 😏
Ok... Did he say the same line twice at the beginning of the Fortnite part, or am I losing it???
Pokemon gi was definitely not a kids game. It wasn't even marketed to kids
Random: the pokemon Jynx caused controversy because of Jynx' original design
What's controversial about this video is how Callum pronounced the creator of Flappy Bird's name, Don Win (Nguyen)
Fitzherbert-y secrets - Kingdom Hearts III
Does EarthBound count ? It had legal problems with his music and references.
I played Pokémon Scarlet too I played this game on my switch
Hmm, I wonder if Fortnite was lambasted for its success, enough to warrant repeating the line twice
The switch from 2D to 3D is Pokémon's decline.
Seriously? Wasn’t that “switch to 2D to 3D is the franchise’s decline” was echoed by older Sonic fans when they originally felt about the 3D entries after 06’s unfinished rushed state ruined the franchise?
@@benitosierrajr3958 2D video games today have content potential, smoother gameplay, and stable physics.
I never knew about some of these.
That thumbnail is cursed bro
ROBLOX is not a kid’s game. It’s a platform which so happens to have a lot of kid games on it.
I think Pokémon super mystery dungeon and Pokémon gates to infinity are considered controversial.
That thimbnail tho poor wigglit
Whiplash was fun
MINECRAFT AND ROBLOX ARE DEFINITELY THE WORST! THAT'S WHAT KIDS DO ALL DAY!
Fortnite isn't even a kids games. It's rated T for teens, so I'm not surprised that Epic Games adds cameos like Rick and Morty.
Oh shoot!
that thumbnail though
6:41 - 7:55 Interesting
You didn't even name then main controversies about Niantic and Pokemon GO lmao. Then again you could do a whole video on the company/game about it :P
Earlier today, I did have a wild Pokemon run toward me and I paused the game before it hit, and the game said "waiting", but I may had pushed a button because it came up with buying Wifi stuff, so I probably accidentally tapped the DLC panel while setting the console down. xD
12:48 THAT F****** RIDICULUOS!!!
Good video
Fortnite is rated T for Teens. If parents aren't okay with the adult collabs then don't let your young child play it.
LOL POKEMON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't have people going against thier Chinese overlords.
Ah, brings back memories of when I was 13 years old and playing Pokemon. I can't believe I was mind controlled into going round my friends house and throwing my budgie at their dog expecting to win!
lol before my town got stops; i used to drive and play though i would have my sister get stuff
Now you see, Pokemon GO didnt do anyrthing, players did.
Soon all the words are going to be offensive to somebody
So whats the issue with Flappy birds again?
It ruined the creator's life.
@@alvarochaves1999 oh now i feel stupid
Roblox is rated T kids shouldn't be playing it
Number 9: Maareeo

Exactly.

I Know lots of games get in trouble for religion wither its crosses on tomb stones or chanting in Zelda temples religion comes up in many games. Enough to be its own list
I remember Animal Crossing being used for a lot of things Trump and Biden , BLM, Blue Lives, McDonalds, KFC, 7UP it got a lot of us banned from face book who started to make rules that got any one supporting the wrong side banned from the group.
I also remember Nintendo removing Swap Note because people were sending inappropriate images with it and Nintendo could be bothered to mod it. That move cut off the only way I had to communicate with some people.
2nd life and ever quest had issues with people spending and making IRL money on digital objects
I think Fortnite had issues with DLC characters who got removed
basically ANY online game especially ones with a create mode will be used for inappropriate communications. Not just one or two but like all of them Parents need to know this does happen and kids need to know not to plan meet ups
Pokémon Go was HUGE in the news. Tress passing, Mugging, finding dead bodies, people the game of vandalism , people accusing the games of theft of Pokémon, a lot of verry insane stories
Pokémon its self was big with stories of Satanic worship and practicing magic too'
'as for sponsored Pokestops I see nothing wrong with it. its a way to attack business. Its smart and its not pay to use.
@@OnePieceGuy55 look. Nobody finds your comments funny at all. People find you sad and childish that you spam this in every video.

Those Roblox and Pokémon Go controversies.... holy shit!

It's the British pronunciation of Mario.
The most normal video games in Ohio!
I hate fortnite period it's a huge toxic community in my opinion
Same here. When it comes to other games . All of them will have toxic people. When it comes to that , it's best to ingore them since they are too scared to say anything to you from behind a microphone.
@@Reaperguy67 i play Fortnite and have fun every time
@Reaperguy67 true guess just every time I would play it I would get a lot of hate mail and voice messages cause they couldn't take a loss so for the sake of my mental health I just took it off from my ps5 and I avoid any online games I'm more on story driven games
