I was quite curious to see how this one would perform, ShVAKs and RS-82 rockets on a Hurricane seemed quite appealing. It's definitely my next premium, thanks for the review.

Wow this is only Arcade. I would love it if you can redo this ShVAK/Berezin equipped premium Hurricane in RB. I just purchased it on discount over the X-Mas Holiday. It would be great if you can reassess its strengths weaknesses.

Yeah, old vis from my AB days, dont know if i get to update it anytime soon, focussing on USA atm. As to responding to comments, its all about the interaction in my opinion, otherwise whats the point.
Easily the most fun Russian premium. You can easily get ace games every time in arcade, and 2-3 kills in realistic.
i have to make an updated review on that one one of these days :)
This plane is great to fly in RB. i dont know if it had rockets in 2015 but it does now and they can come in handy sometimes when you see a BV238

Plane looks really good. Went looking for more film on it after DigitalDigging put out a video on this plane today. He liked it was well.
Wow, just noticed, they have a strong premium 3.0 linup, of even one you don't have, like the P-47. But I wonder, say you don't have any of those, which would you choose first out?
I didn't like the 9m too well really. I might choose the 3-34 as that 37 though, and then the 47 if not it before those.
I like the idea of the hurricane, but it seems so lacking, well, at least the British ones, like the 2c should have been amazing but, especially in Rb, you weren't able to keep up with the fight much, you had to lure them to you and evade and hope to pounce quick if they didn't turn.
Again though, I am having some doubts about low tiered premiums and their usefullness. Maybe a game here and there, but if you really wanted RP wouldn't you be grinding higher premiums?
I already have the P63a10, and it seems like I might be more apt to snag the LA-7 and run those two with an amazing 4.0 lineup as it is on the OP russian side. That is considering I would be looking at having to buy those other couple as well. I mean if you could go back and do it again, would you trade all those in for say the a-5 and la7?
Status update, I finally unlocked the belts on that D-9 and man, finally the thing is up to par! I have almost all the rank 3 modules now and I am finally getting good game after good game.
Though I want to ask, are you sure boom and zooming is where it is at in AB? Seems like so many just fly up the middle and have some great games, while I am climbing for bombers to make sure they don't hit our bases, or escorting. our bombers to make sure they hit theirs. I don't always make good, but I increase the chance to win...

Christopher Harper I would not trade the la5's and the lá7's for the world ;) They are too good. Early premiums are only really usefull when you are at the tier they sit at in respect of the grind. Fot the rest they are just for flavour. For your enjoyment when you are not grinding. Which i would recommend doing a lot ;) It keep your fun factor up.I've often said that its a combination between pure boom and zooming mixing with energy fighting that works wel for me in AB. And i show this in the vids. I top the scoreboard for my team about 60% of the time, which tells me im doing something right ;)For me it works, also partly due to my aiming, which is much better then avarage, but its not guerenteed. You also gotta give yourself time to learn to see the right descisions. I almost never stay with our bombers more then a minute. No more fighters up high? i start looking for my next target. To rack up the killcount you slowly gotta start working on your minute by minute efficiency. But for me this playstyle is right for all planes. I always prefer to come from above, my chances to survive for a long time increase with my ability to keep energy up troughout the game. Keep at it mate :) Those guys going trough the middle can have a good game based on luck, and no one targetting them that match, but i try to keep luck out of it as much as i can, and rely on superior tactics, positioning and skill as my allies. But by all means try this trough the middle 10 games, and then 10 games of what i reccommend, and then compare the stats. How much more did you die in the middle? ;)
You know, Jengar, I think about this comment a lot since you left it to me all that time ago, and I still go back and forth on it, especially now considering the priority is ground targets or lose.
But every now and then I get a chance to pick apart a team from the top, and it is nice when that happens for sure.
You know what? I have won a 50% off discount on this Hurricane and was thinking about getting it, I mean its 350 GE atm and I have been playing some sim, so these kinds of planes have new meaning as I am trying to get used to sim, so I might just pull that trigger.
That low top speed hurts a bit more though in sim considering you have to cover large distances a lot of times.
Would you still be recommending it at this point? I would take a wild guess and bet you haven't touched it since you did this review, no?
you are absolutely correct mate, i've not been able to touch it since, especially since my son was born ;) but for 350GE's i still think you cant go wrong with this.
Yeah I ended up getting it. Its pretty nice in AB especially. Tired it in rb and got dove on and rammed, not sure about there.
Perfectly capable of some monsterous games, which lead to more silver lions.
I also tried it in sb, but I couldn't do well enough to get enough spawn points to take it out.

Are u getting that many lions per kill just cause of the premium plane or are do you also have a premium account?
+IMacsandGaming indeed, had my last weeks of premium running at that time, and its a premium plane, double bonus. Premium has run out a few months ago unfortunately ;)
I haven't started the Russian tree yet, I was shocked to see how easily those cannons shred planes.
Adam Whittaker The shVAK cannons are probably the best 20 mm cannons in the game, the ones that come closest are probably the german 20 mm cannons.

Jeff _21 It's pretty simple to answer this one Jeff, I prefer the pace of AB. I like to jump into an AB match when i get back from work and enjoy the quick action, when i die, i can hop into another plane and continue right away. My gametime is limited these days and in AB i can get it actionpacked and get the most out of it. But i do sometimes enjoy RB. I have 4 RB vids up atm, and that is almost 10% of my vids. that about tells you how much i play both modes ;) Taking off the airfield and climbing for 5-10 minutes and mostly about 7 to 10 minutes into the game before you see your first enemy just isnt all that fitting if you just have 1 hour of gametime, at least for me. Shooting at enemies is a great way for me to relax after work, and i shoot much more and quicker in AB. Thats the main two reasons why i fly in AB much more often then in RB. It's often in the weekend, when i sometimes have a bit more time where i decide to jump into some RB matches, and greatly enjoy them too at those moments.
