Waternoose, Hitchhiking Ghosts, Scroop, Syndrome, Chick Hicks, Doris/DOR-15 and Charles F. Muntz. What are your personal opinions on this 60 Animated Disney and Pixar villains list.
Scar is popular because he was in a movie that made tons of money and is more recent than the sleeping beauty. In reality, Scar is a weak villain who relied in trickery to get what he wanted and in one on one combat vs his brother he would have been destroyed. Malefient was a whole new level of evil.. they needed 3 magical farries, a prince and a sword of truth (dozed in magic) to beat her and only because she got cocky... she is the best by far.
I see a lot of people are complaining about Frollo only making number ten, but actually, I think that's a really great place for him. Since the list was conducted via a survey of the most popular villains, obviously, Disney's most marketed villains are going to be our top ten. However, considering how scarcely Disney acknowledges Frollo, it's a true testement to his character that a villain so undermarketed would be able to get such a high spot.
@dogandcatmum I agree, he is the only disney villian I can recall who wasn't afraid to kill his own brother just so he can be king, if killing your own family isn't evil I don't know what is!
Frollo was 10?!?!?! He killed a mom, tried to kill a baby, he was racist, he tried to kill an innocent family and the knight who saved them, he pushed a priest to the ground, he fell in love to a girl who was a gypsie, so he tried to kill her if she didn't like him back and finally he doesn't have magical powers like the stupid malefishinget or whatever. Frollo and scar and Ratigan are my top 3. Then hades
@amalienworkshop But you have to remember Maleficent...she placed a curse of death upon a baby out of spite at not being invited to the child's birthday party...and she is the only villain to call upon the forces of hell to aid her fighting.
@JenkinsAnt I agree. He was the most evil of all the villains, prejudiced and using religion and law to cover up his truly evil nature. He was so consumed in getting rid of gypsies and getting Esmerelda despite her rejecting him that he nearly destroyed Paris for it. Second after him should've been Scar because of how conniving he was with Simba and the Hyenas to be the King of the Pridelands.
Not bad, but here's who I think should be on the top 5 & why (if you don't mind me suggesting). 1. Judge Claude Frollo Reason: Psychopath of killing innocent. 2. The Queen Reason: Psychopath of trying to kill stepdaughter to be the most beautiful. 3. The Horned King Reason: Trying to bring death & darkness to the world. 4. Cruella de Vil Reason: Kills animals for their fur. 5. Madame Medusa Reason: Ruthless treasurer hunter that kidnaps a little girl.
I did not realize that The Rescuers was that old. Anyway. Maleficent deserves the number one spot. She curses a baby because the parents didn't invite her to the baby shower. Definatly hardcore evil.
...This is the exact same list as UltimateDisney. com's list, just with music to fit the characters... Which is just what I was looking for, thanks for doing this video!
I personally think Scar should be number 1 villain. Scar killed his brother, and then tricked Simba thinking he was the one who killed his father so he could take the spot as king. He then made Simba flee into exile and abandon his identity as the future king. "Long live the King" - Scar, #1 disney villain ever.
Well said, when you put it that way i can see him making the cut. I suppose the fact that i recognized his voice (winnie-the-pooh), and the scarier shere kahn, just made it harder for me to be afraid of kaa.
Chernabog scared me so bad as a kid that I seriously had a panic attack because I had a night terror that he was in my room. I threw up and everything. I couldn't go to sleep properly for weeks. I would pull the covers over my head and cry myself to sleep. I wish I was kidding. I'm 19 and I still sleep with the covers pulled up over my head.
Whoa, Frollo's number ten? Hades' number eight? HUH? More like tied for number one! But I was pleasantly surprised at how high Gaston ranked, and the others were all pretty fitting.
Most of the Disney characters have tried to kill the hero or their friends, but few have succeeded. I say Scar- 1 Hades- 2 Cruella-3. But that's just me. Malificent and The Wicked Queen are only at the top because everyone's heard of them... they're in the classics.
Sid is one of my favorites. He may just be a punk in the real world, but to a bunch of toys he's a real badass. When Sid was "playing," no toy was safe, until Woody teamed up with the mutants, rescued Buzz, and took...Sid...down!
Ahhhh nostaligia:) Shere Khan,Frollo,The horned king, and Shan Yu has the scariest theme song.Chernabogs song is very creepy, but it's not his own,it's a night at the bare mountain by the marvelous composer Mussorgsky.
No matter how many famous villains exist. I just LOVE THE HORNED KING! He is scary, dark, powerful, has an amazing voice (John Hurt = Hero), cold, greedy, ambitious, strong, serious, silent (But gets angry easily), doesn't like when things don't go his way, and especially wicked, cruel and unobtrusively sarcastic! The Black Cauldron was the first Disney Movie I have seen, so it's hard for me not like the Horned King (And the other characters) Villains are better than the heroes, thumbs up!
Love the list. Huge Disney fan myself :) Definitely side with those who say Maleficent deserves #1. She is just evil. Plain and simple. There is no true driving force behind her being the way that she is. She is jealous of no one, isn't power-hungry, nor full of greed (like the cases of Scar, the Horned King, Evil Queen, Lady Tremaine, Hades, etc.), she is just evil. I must say she has been one of my favorite villians from one of my all-time favorite movies. FANTASTIC List yet again! :)
@oni1123 Maleficent only wishes to see King Stefan, the fairies, and the queen suffer. It is never implied at any part of the movie that she wants to make the villagers suffer. Frollo wanted everyone to suffer because of feelings that were entirely his own. Not to mention his dictatorial emotional control over Quasimodo. HE PUSHED AN ARCHDEACON DOWN THE STAIRS!!! Maleficent only sought to kill two people (maybe 5 if u count the fairies): Aurora and Philip. Frollo sought to kill all of Paris.
My favorite Disney villains in this video are Kaa, Mad Madame Mim, Pete, Stromboli, The Honed King, Professor Ratigan, The Queen of Hearts, Yzma, Chernabog, Share Khan, Gaston, Hades, Cruella De Vil, The Wicked Queen, Jafar, and Maleficent.
I've noticed how newer villains are more likable, example Isma, she's evil because she wans to kill kusco, but she's funny and people still like her. Newer disney villains have some more humor i guess in the things they do, or in their helpers at least. VIllains like Maleficent and the Evil Queen from Snow White were just mean, no emotion in their actions, but whatever, all villains are badass.
I figured Maleficent would get #1, surprised barboassa was on the list at all. I mean I like Barboassa, I just figured it was limited to animated villains.
scar should be #1. he killed his own brother. tried to kill his nephew 3 times, organized a revolution to do so, destroyed his homeland, and in the end was done in by his own subjects. in brains, brawn, power, hatred and over evil in greater than any other
Hades should be top 5 imo. He is way scarier than the normal Disney villain...he's more like a comic book villain. He doesn't just go after the hero, he goes after the people the hero loves most and forces him to sacrifice for them.
30.Relly great 29.He is the boss 28.Hypnotized 27.The Lizzard? 26.Mean Teen 25.Killer Old Lady 24. HUNTER 23. He is a mean rotten guy 22. He is good at singing 21.He Scares me 20. Not even great 19.. Do I need to say anything 18.He is so Seories 17..Rats!!! 16.Never Haerd of her 15. Don't Panit her roses red 14. Man is she ugly 13.He Scares me too 12. Never heard of him too 11.super hairy cheest 10. Super Awsome 9.Not so great 8. He's from hell 7.He's man with the hook 6.She's ugly too 5.Stra
My top five is probably 1) Maleficent 2) The Wicked Queen 3) Scar 4) Hades 5) Frollo. Maleficent always creeped the hell out of me, I had nightmares of her and so The Wicked Queen. Scar scared me too and Hades was just awesome. I never understood Frollo but he was so scary and should probably be in the top three but yeah... Maleficent deserves number one.
It would have been better without the music. I would rather listen how well the actors did cause their performance really make the characters come alive. Would make it easier to compare. My own personal favorites are Scar and Hades.
Frollo, Scar, Dr. Facilier, Clayton and the Evil Queen are my top five. All of them (except for the evil queen who almost killed the seven dwarves before the vengeful God Disney hit with a lightning bolt) Frollo-Quasimodos Mom Scar- Mufasa (his own brother) Dr. Facilier SPOILER ALERT (the princess and the frog villain for those who don't know) Ray (the films comic relief) Clayton-Tarzan's surrogate father
in my humble opinion Frollo is the scariest villain ever. He doesn't want power or revenge or anything, he just wants something everybody wants,,, love. He just tries to get it the wrong way. it makes him so human. everybody could be that. thats the most scary thing about him and what makes him the scariest of all for me. but than again. I didn't vote so I shouldn't complain
I had a feeling that Maleficent would be #1. I like her, though, so I'm not complaining. However, I'm really glad that Shan-Yu's on this list. My favorite Disney villain ever! (Horned King and Jafar make a close 2nd and 3rd, respectively.)
Yes, Jafar's appearance is very similar to Maleficent's, so that could make for a good pair. I also think, however, that she could be paired up with Hades. He's in charge of the Underworld, and she's the Mistress of all Evil, so that would make for a rather villainous couple. Also, Hades could act as a sort of smooth-talking comic foil to Maleficent's wicked designs.
Ursala is one of my favorites cuz shes so freakin awesome!! But on the evil scale I would put Cruela Deval as nuber 1 cuz she wanted to skin and wear puppies. how more evil could u get?
I can't belive that Ysma was only 14. She's scary beyond all reason, proof that dinosaurs walked the earth, and she hit her stride 50 years ago! Plus, she wanted to turn Kusco into a flea, a harmless little flea, then put that flea in a box, then put that box in another box, then she would mail that box to herself and when it arrived, she'd smash it with a hammer! It's brilliant brilliant brilliant I tell you! Brilliant I say!
In no exact order yet, Scar (The Lion King), Frollo (The Hunchback of Notre Dame), Sa'Luk (Aladdin and the King of Thieves), Hopper (A Bug's Life), Percival C. McLeach (The Rescuers Down Under), Zira (The Lion King II: Simba's Pride), Professor Ratigan (The Great Mouse Detective), Syndrome (The Incredibles), Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), Gaston (Beauty and the Beast), Shere Khan (The Jungle Book), Lotso Huggin' Bear (Toy Story 3), Br'er Fox (Song of the South), Yzma (The Emperor's New Groove), Stromboli (Pinocchio), King Candy/Turbo (Wreck-It Ralph), Captain Hook (Peter Pan), Cruella DeVil (101 Dalmatians), Prince John (Robin Hood), The Horned King (The Black Cauldron), Ernesto De La Cruz (Coco), Hades (Hercules), Dr. Facilier/The Shadowman (The Princess and the Frog), Rourke (Atlantis: The Lost Empire), Charles Muntz (Up), Pete (Various), Si and Am (Lady and the Tramp), Sykes (Oliver and Company), Stinky Pete (Toy Story 2), Mr. Waternoose (Monsters Inc)
Prince John always makes me lol Shere Khan is a terrific villian for Disney or for real. Frollo is the BEST singer of all Disney! And I like Hade's voice. Scar FTW! Good vid!
These r my top 19 favs: 1.Jafar (Aladdin) 2.Hades (Hercules) 3.Oogie Boogie (Nightmare Before Christmas) 4.Ursula (The Little Mermaid) 5.Syndrome (The Incredibles) 6.Captain Hook (Peter Pan) 7.Gantu (Lilo & Stitch) 8.Rourke (Atlantis the Lost Empire) 9.Yzma (The Emperor's New Groove) 10.Sid Phillips (Toy Story)
Yzma and Frollo and Hades should have been closer to number one. In my opinion, at least. Scar, Jafar, and Maleficent had a really good placing--I agree exactly!
I've never really understood why Chernabog is considered evil. In his segement he just reminded me of a party animal. The ghosts came to him to have some fun. He just LOOKS evil. As for Scar, he deserves the NO.2 spot not Jafar. He IS based on two of the worst villians of all time: the uncle in macbeth AND the egyptian god of evil Seth.
5. Oogie Boogie When even the Halloween monsters are terrified of this guy, you know he's doing something right. 4. Frollo Earns points for being so hauntingly realistic. 3. Jafar Jafar was so awesome because he never gave up. I mean, he loses the lamp, two minutes later he has a new plan to be sultan. 2. Hades Hillarious + Badass + James Woods = Awesome 1. Scar Unlike the others, Scar actually succeeded in his plans, and became the king. Definitely the darkest Disney villain ever.
Aaand I may as well share my personal favorite villains as well. Scar, Zira, Frollo, Shan-Yu, and Mother Gothel are my favorite Disney villains. I also like Lady Tremaine, and the rat from Lady and the Tramp is very respected, being the only villain that still freaks me out besides that bat in the GMD and the Horned King (and I like rats usually!)
Her horns, sadistic laugh, green complexion, that raven, her cold chilly voice (same voice as Lady Tremaine, that Eleanor Audley is amazing!), her dragon form, her creepy castle, and the fact that she's so proper, calm, and polite, while everyone is terrified of her.
The villain that scared me the most was Shere Khan. Mainly because the music in his entrances was very chilling and I live in Texas. Around that time I believe in Houston, a tiger actually killed a man in the zoo. Somehow he got trapped and died, so when I was a kid I was scared a tiger would come and get me. I still am scared when I see that movie and I'm almost 23 now.
@dobadobadooo Evil needs no motive. In fact that actually makes Maleficent more evil than Scar. Add to that it's like this topic said. "Why was he so desperate to become 'king'? All the animals in the pride lands still were able to go ahead and do whatever they wanted. Basically all he got out of the deal was the privilege of sleeping in Mufasa's den."
Possible continuation! #31:Coachman(Pinocchio) #32:Zira (the lion king 2) #33:Big Bad wolf (disney short films) #34:Syndrom (the incredibles) #35:Davy Jones (Pirates of the Caribian). what do you think?
Alright! This was a pretty good list! All my favs were on the top. You know who I never see in these lists though? Percival C. McLeach...the bad guy from rescuers down under...but maybe it's because he really never achieves anything....?
Evil Queen-1937 Stromboli-1940 Lady Tremaine-1950 The Queen of Hearts-1951 Si and Am-1955 Maleficent-1959 Cruella De Vil-1961 Madame Mim-1963 Kaa-1967 Edgar-1970 Prince John-1973 Madame Medusa-1977 Amos Slade-1981 The Horned King-1985 Ratigan-1986 Sykes-1988 Ursula-1989 McLeach-1990 Gaston-1991 Jafar-1992-1994 Scar-1994 Ratcliffe-1995 Hades-1997 Shan-Yu-1998 Clayton-1999 Yzma-2000 Dr. Facilier-2009 Mother Gothel-2010
1. Scar 2. Wicked Queen from Snow White 3. Cruella de Vil 4. Jafar 5. Mother Gothel from Tangled 6. Frollo 7. Maleficent 8. Ursula 9. Chernabog 10. Hades A nice mix of male & female for once!
not sure I agree with Malificent being number one, but definite respect for having Ratigan, Prince John and Shan-Yu on this list (hell, each one is awesome in his/her own way)
These are some of my favorites. The Magnet= Brave Little Toaster. Charles Muntz= Up. Chick Hicks= Cars. Narissa= Enchanted. Doctor Reinhardt= The Black Hole. Nizam= Prince of Persia. Maximilian= The Black Hole. The Hassansins= Prince of Persia. Cutler Beckett= Pirates of The Caribbean= At World's End. Auto= Wall-E. Syndrome= The Incredibles. Lotso Huggin Bear= Toy Story 3. Davy Jones= Pirates of The Caribbean= At World's End.
Jafar is my number 1. Why? Because he is somekind different from the others. He is arab. He uses arabic sorcery. And i was so scared of him as a little kid. Especially when he is transformed into genie. That alone makes him a winner to me. Because as genie he is the most powerfull creature in the universe so neither maleficent or hades would stand a chance in a battle. The satan laugh at the end of prince ali also send chills down my spine everytime
What about the terrifying Judge Doom? I don't know a single person who doesn't admit to being scared of him as a kid. Plus he was played by the brilliant Christopher Lloyd.
I just read that the Evil Queen's name is actually Queen Grimhilde. At least according to her official FaceBook page, which states that it was the name they used for books based on the movie.
Demona from "Gargoyles" is the best Disney villain ever. She's got the back story, personality, venom, spite, intelligence, ability, characterization, tragic quality, and is so well fleshed-out and developed...WHY IS SHE NOT EVEN ON THIS LIST?!
I'd guess people voted based on criteria like these (in no particular order). "This villain ..." 1. Is in my favorite Disney movie (as mentioned). 2. Does despicable things. 3. Is unabashedly diabolical. 4. Is hilarious. 5. Scares me to death. 6. Is realistic and/or well developed. My top choice: Shan-Yu. He chills me to the bone and makes my blood boil, all in one film. "How many men does it take to deliver a message?" "The little girl will be missing her doll. We should return it to her."
Scar is my favourite villain. his voice is so powerfull. JEREMY IRONS
Prince John is my favourite villain which I named my cat after and Gaston is my second favourite cause I like him for his singing
Pete, Big Bad Wolf, Mortimer Mouse, Evil/Wicked Queen Grimhilde, later Old Hag/Witch, Honest John, Stromboli, Coachman, Monstro, Chernabog, The Man eating Royal Bengal Tiger from Tiger Trouble, Lumpjaw, Mr. Winkie, Headless Horseman and his black horse, Lady Tremaine, Cheshire Cat (neutral), Queen of Hearts, Captain James Hook, Tick Tock Crocodile (neutral except to the villain that I listed right before), Si and Am, Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, Madam Mim, Kaa, Shere Khan, Edgar Balthazar, Prince John, Sheriff of Nottingham, Madame Medusa, Horned King, Professor Padraic Ratigan, Flintheart Glomgold, Magica De Spell, Ursula, Percival C. McLeach, Jafar, Oogie Boogie, Scar, Hades, Shan Yu, Hopper, Cecil Clayton, Phantom Blot, Prospector, Al Mcwhiggin, Evil Emperor Zurg, Firebird, Yzma, Commander Lyle T. Rourke, Randall Boggs, Henry J. Waternoose, Hitchhiking Ghosts, Scroop, Syndrome, Chick Hicks, Doris/DOR-15 and Charles F. Muntz.
What are your personal opinions on this 60 Animated Disney and Pixar villains list.
My two favourite is
Clayton’s theme
And
Evil Peter hulse when you evil
the number three spot is my all time favorite villain
Scar is popular because he was in a movie that made tons of money and is more recent than the sleeping beauty. In reality, Scar is a weak villain who relied in trickery to get what he wanted and in one on one combat vs his brother he would have been destroyed. Frollo and scar and Ratigan are my top 3. Then hades
I'm really glad you brought up Sykes and McLeach, I think also Alameda Slim. These 3 are great villains are severely underrated and often forgotten.
where????
You just forget Edgar from "The Aristocats" (1970) and Bill Sykes from "Oliver & Company" (1988)
@amalienworkshop But you have to remember Maleficent...she placed a curse of death upon a baby out of spite at not being invited to the child's birthday party...and she is the only villain to call upon the forces of hell to aid her fighting.
Although Shan Yu should have been way higher, excellent choice for #1....I knew from the start she would be in the top 3. Marvelous video.
The Horned King always scared the shit out of me when I was a kiddo =(
My favorite Disney villains are The Horned King, Hades, Frollo, and Barbosa. I love Villains, they're always the ones that make the story fun.
Ratigan, Frollo, Hades and The Horned King should be way higher up there! Agree?
Ye agree
Scar, Jafar and Hades are my favorite Disney Villains.
My favorites were Scar, Gaston, Frollo, Oggie Boggie, Dr. Facillar, King Candy, Jafar and Maleficent.
Gaston, Captain Hook, Ursula, Dr. Facilier, Maleficent, Cruella de Vil, and Jafar are my favorites.
my fave villain is Ursula. I also like her song very much...
My favourites are Frollo, Cruella, Scar and Hades. :)
Not bad, but here's who I think should be on the top 5 & why (if you don't mind me suggesting).
1. Judge Claude Frollo
Reason: Psychopath of killing innocent.
2. The Queen
Reason: Psychopath of trying to kill stepdaughter to be the most beautiful.
3. The Horned King
Reason: Trying to bring death & darkness to the world.
4. Cruella de Vil
Reason: Kills animals for their fur.
5. Madame Medusa
Reason: Ruthless treasurer hunter that kidnaps a little girl.
Claude Frollo has the best song. And was the first Disney villain to put a curse word in a children's movie. Which is why he is one of my favorites.
I did not realize that The Rescuers was that old. Anyway. Maleficent deserves the number one spot. She curses a baby because the parents didn't invite her to the baby shower. Definatly hardcore evil.
ratigan as #17?! he was hilarious throughout the entire movie, was selfish, and was just scary at the end!!!
he's too underrated so that's why :(
@sageturmelle they were both voiced by the same person and that guy also voiced cogsworth in beauty and the beast
I love this list but I'm shocked that McLeach didn't make it on to this list. He's one of my favorites and I thought he might have been on here 😅
What about Edgar?
Ratigan will always be my fave disney villian :D
Mainly cause he was voiced by Vincent Price
Woah me too freaking love him until now 😍😍
.... I had a crush on Maleficent when i was small... I thought she was beautiful and elegant for some reason. :s
...This is the exact same list as UltimateDisney. com's list, just with music to fit the characters...
Which is just what I was looking for, thanks for doing this video!
I personally think Scar should be number 1 villain. Scar killed his brother, and then tricked Simba thinking he was the one who killed his father so he could take the spot as king. He then made Simba flee into exile and abandon his identity as the future king.

I agree with this ranking. Only thing I'd do is scoot the the Evil Stepmother a couple notches up. She was always one my top favorites

My favorite villain (not on this list) is Dr. Facilier from princess and the frog. My favorite that is on this list is Scar from lion king
No matter how many famous villains exist. I just LOVE THE HORNED KING! Kaa is not a villain, the villain of that movieis Sheer-khan, Kaa's just a second character.
Scar is the villain the other villains want to be,
Frollo is the villain the other villains are afraid of.
I loved it so much that I am going to use this for a disney villain guessing game in school
great work!! and you chose songs that really fit the villains well done
i LOVED Madam Mim n Yzma. Ursula too she was so witty.
She didn't do it only because she wasn't invited , she also did because she hated aurora.
When I was little Chernabog was the scariest thing in the world, in fact just now it brought back horrible memories........ 8(

My own personal favorites are Scar and Hades.
my fav badguy on that list was ratigan.
oh he's also mine! 😍
Frollo, Scar, Dr. Facilier, Clayton and the Evil Queen are my top five. All of them (except for the evil queen who almost killed the seven dwarves before the vengeful God Disney hit with a lightning bolt)
Frollo-Quasimodos Mom
Scar- Mufasa (his own brother)
Dr. Facilier SPOILER ALERT (the princess and the frog villain for those who don't know) Ray (the films comic relief)
Clayton-Tarzan's surrogate father
in my humble opinion Frollo is the scariest villain ever.
My favorite villains on the list are Scar, Hades, Jafar, Kaa, and Shere Khan!
You've given me a very good list of movies to revisit. :D Good list.
Maleficent, Frollo, and the Horned King are my tops. People hate on the Black Cauldron but I enjoyed it.
These are my favorite villains: Frollo, Jafar, Maleficent, Shan-Yu, Professor Ratigan,
Thanks for bringing back some memories!!!
Prince John always makes me lol
Shere Khan is a terrific villian for Disney or for real.
Frollo is the BEST singer of all Disney! And I like Hade's voice.
Scar FTW! Good vid!
These r my top 19 favs:
1.Jafar (Aladdin)
2.Hades (Hercules)
3.Oogie Boogie (Nightmare Before Christmas)
4.Ursula (The Little Mermaid)
5.Syndrome (The Incredibles)
6.Captain Hook (Peter Pan)
7.Gantu (Lilo & Stitch)
8.Rourke (Atlantis the Lost Empire)
9.Yzma (The Emperor's New Groove)
10.Sid Phillips (Toy Story)
Yzma and Frollo and Hades should have been closer to number one. In my opinion, at least.
Scar, Jafar, and Maleficent had a really good placing--I agree exactly!
I've never really understood why Chernabog is considered evil. In his segement he just reminded me of a party animal. The ghosts came to him to have some fun. He just LOOKS evil. As for Scar, he deserves the NO.2 spot not Jafar. He IS based on two of the worst villians of all time: the uncle in macbeth AND the egyptian god of evil Seth.
I would say he's not a Disney villain, but now I'd be wrong
5. Oogie Boogie
When even the Halloween monsters are terrified of this guy, you know he's doing something right.
4. Frollo
Earns points for being so hauntingly realistic.
3. Jafar
Jafar was so awesome because he never gave up. I mean, he loses the lamp, two minutes later he has a new plan to be sultan.
2. Hades
Hillarious + Badass + James Woods = Awesome
1. Scar
Unlike the others, Scar actually succeeded in his plans, and became the king.
I've seen the sight with this same list. I think Sid was appropriately placed, but Oogie Boogie, Gantu, and Syndrome should've been in it.
#31:Coachman(Pinocchio)
#32:Zira (the lion king 2)
#33:Big Bad wolf (disney short films)
#34:Syndrom (the incredibles)
#35:Davy Jones (Pirates of the Caribian).
what do you think?
Alright! This was a pretty good list! All my favs were on the top. You know who I never see in these lists though? Percival C. McLeach...the bad guy from rescuers down under...but maybe it's because he really never achieves anything....?
As much as I love all of these movies, I am surprised how often I forget over half of this list existed.
Evil Queen-1937

8. Ursula
9. Chernabog
10. Hades
A nice mix of male & female for once!
Yes, the ball of green light!!! Sooooo creepy! And it was such a sickly shade of green, too.
not sure I agree with Malificent being number one, but definite respect for having Ratigan, Prince John and Shan-Yu on this list (hell, each one is awesome in his/her own way)
Madame Medusa is soooo underrated, she is in my top 3 wich is 3.Ursula and i still can't decide if Medusa or Cruella De vil is my favorite
@padlock23: I think Running Wild fits Barbossa, they do sing about pirates after all :P
@QueenResidentevil Scar is the only villian that actually killed someone in the movie, and it was a main character.
Great video, I agree with the ranking, thank you for reminding all these memories!
Demona from "Gargoyles" is the best Disney villain ever. She's got the back story, personality, venom, spite, intelligence, ability, characterization, tragic quality, and is so well fleshed-out and developed...WHY IS SHE NOT EVEN ON THIS LIST?!
My 10 top Disney villains.
1. Maleficent. 2. Jafar. 3. Scar. 4. Hades. 5. Frollo. 6. Chernabog. 7. The Horned King. 8. Ratigan. 9. Ursula. 10. Hook.
How is Frollo only 10? He pushed a woman down stairs and was going to throw a baby down a well
I'd guess people voted based on criteria like these (in no particular order). "This villain ..."
1. Is in my favorite Disney movie (as mentioned).
2. Does despicable things.
3. Is unabashedly diabolical.
4. Is hilarious.
5. Scares me to death.
6. Is realistic and/or well developed.
My top choice: Shan-Yu. He chills me to the bone and makes my blood boil, all in one film.
"How many men does it take to deliver a message?"
"The little girl will be missing her doll. We should return it to her."
