  • Megyn Kelly is joined by Bari Weiss, founder and CEO of The Free Press, and Nellie Bowles, author of the new book "Morning After The Revolution," to talk about the New York Times proudly not covering important stories like the Hunter Biden laptop, the dumpster fire Slack channels at elite institutions, corporate media being "late to the party" giving independent media a two year window to cover interesting stories, the mob harming the janitors at Columbia University's Hamilton Hall, the privileged protesters pretending to be victims, the left hypocritically refusing to come to the defense of workers and condemning mob behavior, radicalism rising in America and Jews "not counting," protesters who go for the vibe, the insane anti-Israel letter from the National Lawyers Guild Columbia University chapter, the NYPD's mic drop response, where the hateful campus protest chaos goes next, the power of simply being "normal" in today's culture, the need for alternatives to the craziness and a reality-based media, the woke movement against what is "knowable," what happens next regarding support of Israel by the left and right, their marriage and parenthood, Bowles falling in Love with Weiss while both were at the New York Times, how it taught her the true values of the left and legacy media, the push to join a cancel mob but the need to resist it, how "the gays have won," and more.

I have a Jewish friend who has been soooo anti conservative, anti Christian, anti white men, anti American etc over the years. She has been surprisingly silent over the last few months, rarely talking about anything political anymore. I’m curious to know whether she’s secretly re thinking some of her choices now that she sees the left, for the most part are antisemites these days. There were millions of antisemitic Christians throughout the world who refused to accept Jewish immigrants during the 1930's when the handwriting was on the wall for Jews. Not to mention the Crusades. I think what you meant to say is that they will defend Israel.

Bari was late to the party, but her voice is important. Israel and the Jews are really not the target in this madness here in America. America itself, American culture and American capitalism are the targets. Israel is a representative of these values in a tough place geographically with a lot of history, so they are an easy target and a convenient excuse to voice a lot of craziness. Biden's waffling doesn't help.

We do. The right that is anti Israel is a fringe and viewed that way by everyone normal. The left however is a duality: the old leadership is tepid in support in a quest for power but there’s an element that is truly anti semitic. You just don’t rank high enough in intersectionality.
One earnest plea though: stop falling for the misplaced empathy. Nothing these people believe it truly compassionate. They even hurt the people they purport to want to help.

The idiots on college campuses have no idea of the history of israel. Most don't even know what is meant when their shouting their disgusting slogans. Palestinian groups are behind these riots on college campuses. Do not worry, once Biden is out of office, the American gov. will be backing you again. Americans have to vote a conservative in because if we end up with another Joe Biden, this country will not be the country it once was either, and a lot of Americans are awakening to this fact.

I should have done so sooner since the writing has been on the wall for years prior. I thought the Party could be changed from within, but I was wrong. It has been lost to the extreme Left and their intersectional partners. Time for a lot of Democrats to look at what they vote for.

That's because they ALSO have a right to free speech. Free doesn't mean without consequences.

@johnlockelmao4238 I never used the word should. And I don't see how it's insane....it is completely normal and natural for people to judge each other for the things they say. All I'm saying, is that the law doesn't say the government will come in and interfere with people's inter-personal reactions to each other (unless of course they start resorting to violence or some other crime). Did your friends never laugh at you in school if you said something silly? Say your ideas were stupid or praise you for something you said they thought was clever or funny? Sometimes it's nice, sometimes it's mean, but it's not illegal!

    • @amyrudolph1090
      @amyrudolph1090 16 днів тому

Also, now that you brought it up, I do think we should socially punish each other for saying terrible things. For instance, making racist statements is not illegal. That is free speech. However their is nothing in the law to prevent me from using my free speech to point out that racism is the crutch of the feeble-minded and hateful. That is me punishing someone socially for which there is no legal punishment. I'm not saying I would shun such a person from my company, but I'd definitely make it clear if I find their views reprehensible.

A long time ago an "All the President's Men" level story was manna from heaven for a journalist. In the last 8 years there have been dozens of them and journalists (I use that term very loosely) today are like "meh, we gotta provide cover for Dems and the Progressive agenda and get Trump by any means necessary." 🤦🙆

@@johnobrien5037 I agree. Deep throat. The watergate scandal, so many great stories were covered by real journalists. 8 yeas of propaganda, which it has been, has really made me not able to even read a NY Times column anymore. I can’t watch CNN. It’s sad because it was a good news channel for years. To choose not to cover the laptop was so anti journalism that I lost any respect I had for those people at all. NPR too. I want all federal funds cut for it. It’s a leftist echo chamber.

I first heard about Bari Weiss from her interview with you, Megyn. Now she and Nellie have built an amazing news empire. They recently celebrated having 630,591 subscribers (at $80 per year). Do the math on that. You also can become a founding member for $250 per year. That kind of income makes me a little jellie. Great interview and congrats to Nellie and Bari on that bun in the oven!

I believe you touched on the answer to your question. Why are some conservatives entertaining previously disavowed conspiracy theories. I think it’s because of the blanket mistrust that many have in gov’t, media, and people in positions of power and influence. People are searching for sane answers and truth…and it is, at times, hard to find. Keep up the good fight. Loved this interview!

Good conversation. However, it alerts me to what my neighbors in Florida are saying, and I didn't believe. We want you at the party. We are really glad you are at the party. However, the bad ideas did not work, so don't try to change us to the bad ideas. What we have is working. Good schools and good infrastructure are signs of a well-run state, which is what we have in Florida. Yet Northerners come down and want to change us to their bad ideas.

Kids need to grow up with siblings. Especially in the world today.
Starting with 4 kids, gives each one 3 siblings.
With 4 kids there is no one-on-one conflict and no triangle. Everyone has a buddy :)
Add it starts to be easier on the parents. Parents get the hang of it and the kids are more interested in their siblings than bothering with their parents.
