Loved this video. I've purchased the DX7 and have been using it about six months. Love it! I can be such a dingbat sometimes. I had totally forgotten about the floating foot., and that's one of the reasons I purchased it! LOL! I'll be using it now! Thanks!
It seam to me why I bought this machine was seeing a demo on this machine awhile back, I believe by you and it never let my head and when I seen it was at agreat price now, My heart jumped on it!!! One thing I did want to mention is also when you use the presser foot lift bar. It lift the bar even higher for thicker materials and layers, like for quilting!!! I just had mine for a week and I’m loving it has worked smoothly on even layers for quilting!!!Just great!!!
Hi Lucy, based on your review I bought the Juki Dx7 today (May 2, 2019) In the USA. thanks for your thorough reviews, I’ve watched several of them over the past week while I was researching the right sewing machine for my needs.
I have had this machine 2 years now and no I did not read my manual. I have learned a bunch of new things from your tutorial that this wonderful machine does that I had no clue, I was having a tough time getting through thicker fabric but now I will start using the floating method! Read your manual
Just purchased this machine after years of using Janome machines wow what a machine a cut above them allI just love love it best decision I ever made thank you for your tutorial
Very good video. I have the QVP 2000 which I think has many of the same features as this one, so I’ve learned some things. Please make more more on this model or the 2000. Thank you!
Great demo , do you know what the throat space measures at? I'm trying to decide between the 2200 or this, throat space and stitch regulation would be the defining points for me.
when it's stitching I don't think it's too loud, but when you stop it is surprisingly loud. I had to get used it that- thought it had a factory defect at first.
I hesitate a lot between a Brother innovis 1300 and this one? What do you think ? Regular use, stretch like jeans or leatherette. Ergonomics, longevity .. thank you for your answer :)
I was looking at the Janome 6700, and now this one... The differences I've noticed so far, is that the Janome has a wider (11inches?) throat and 9mm stitch width, compared to the Juki 7mm stich width and 9 inch throat. Someone, correct me if I'm wrong! 😊
@@juliagarrison-odwyer5234 I know it's been 2 years, but just curious what you went with for your sewing machine, as I'm also now looking at these 2 and can't decide. I do like the throat plate single stitch conversion, the programmable pedal function, and the pressure foot auto raise on the DX7. But I like the extra space and the overall look of the Janome 6700. Thanks for any feedback!
The backstitch on this machine leaves a mess. Is there a way to adjust the length of the thread when using the automatic cutter? My start and ending points always look like a bird nests or I made mistakes when really it's the backstitching. Something so basic seems to have been overlooked. I'd love a solution if there is one.
Thank you for your review. I am looking for the machine can sew from thin fabric like chiffon to thick fabric like leather. Can DX7 sew leather bags? And, what is the differences comapred to DX2000QVP?
Brian Turner here. I've had my DX7 for a year now. I make Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls with it. Couldn't have been happier if they'd have given me free ice cream for life.
I purchased this machine 6 months ago bean in already 4 times for repair now broken down again so going through fair trading to get my money back going back to Janome I guess I got a new lemon I paid $ 1549 .00 on special not happy
Planning to buy this sewing machine this weekend after some tests in the store but now I have some doubts about buying it! Seen a video with problems with the presser foot? Are you still satisfied with the juki hzl-dx7? Or other users of this machine, still satisfied? I would love to hear! Thank you in advance!
Have a juki DX 7 mastered the letters ok,but having lots of trouble with the numbers, could you be able to write them down for me , would appreciate, thanks Nanette Langton
I have a DX7. I started sewing a cork purse, nothing unusually bulky, and it started skipping stitches horribly!! I changed threads, tried different needles, tension, no luck. I’m so disappointed! I’d appreciate any help you can give me. My old, MUCH cheaper machine, never did this.
Did you try using your walking foot? I just saw a video from Juki Junkies where she sewed thru 4 layers of vinyl “leather “. The seams where she used the walking foot were superior.

I have the Juki G220 and she is plenty for me! Quite happy but I love watching your tutorials on all things. Thanks so much from Louisiana 😊

Watching your video validates me buying this machine a few days ago even more! Thank you!!
Are you enjoying it? I am just thinking of buying one.
Hi Lucy, thank you for all of the information you shared about this Juki DX7 sewing machine. I learned a lot and I think this is the machine for me.

Thanks for a clear and concise video, much appreciated
Nice review, full of useful details. Thanks a lot!
Very helpful video. I noticed the pink viscose was a little puckered... ? How day ou adjust the tension ? Thank you.
Hi Lucy, please do a video on the buttonhole foot as i find it difficult to get thicker garments under it,
Thanks Elle
How will you comper this machine with the F 600?
Very helpful video. Thank you. BTW, love your hair cut.
Great demo , do you know what the throat space measures at? I'm trying to decide between the 2200 or this, throat space and stitch regulation would be the defining points for me.
Hi there,
The throat space to the right of the need on the 2200 is 22cm and 20cm on the DX7 - Hope this helps. Thanks.
Do you think this machine is loud? It sounded loud in the video. Will people who have this machine comment what they like and don’t like?
It is not quiet or what I consider smooth like a babylock but all the extras on it really make me love it,
when it's stitching I don't think it's too loud, but when you stop it is surprisingly loud. I had to get used it that- thought it had a factory defect at first.
@@jennyboone3040I’m trying to decide between dx 7 and baby lock and not sure what to do 😢
I tried it out today and it was a bit loud especially when going full speed

Also, the 6700 didn't have the free arm. I guess with the DX7, my main concern is how loud it seems to be and whether you can turn that off.
Does it have a piping cord foot? Is that included or extra? Thank you for the very informative video.
I'd like to see you doing free motion quilting on this machine.

Had my DX7 a few days. I cannot get the tension correct. The bobby thread is very slack. Any help please
Looking to purchase this machine wondering if you have to unthread the machine to fill the bobbin or does it have a second spoon thx
Hi, it has a secondary spool pin, so you can attach that to fill a bobbin whilst the machine is still threaded. Lucy
Frank Nutt Sewing Machines thank you so much

Please give us a video on machine quilting with this model, thank you so much in advance!! 😊 I really need to know how it works for you
where can I buy the parts if foot petal damaged for example. or the bobbin cover etc.
Super Nähmaschine, sehr zu empfehlen, noch besser als Janome oder die anderen, die hier angeboten werden

The floating function doesn't work on thick fabric like jeans. Regret buying this machine.
Thanks for posting, I'm on the fence right now.
Hi
The 5 is sooo much cheaper. I can't reason with buying the 7.
You jump around to much...… bearly know now as much as when I started to watch your video.. Not much!... more confused then helpful
