how about instead of fucking with macros etc to release the previous playback, have R999 cuestack macro on the first cue of the next song, that cue would then automatically release the same playback on a previous page while it activates the current one.
Sure, yeah that works. I like using the song macros because if the set changes, I don’t have to re-order my playback pages. Instead I can just press the macro and I have everything set up for my next song.
Would this setup work if you were using a midi footswitch to trigger each cue? Or how would that adjust the setup?
I believe it should work similarly if you just used the foot switch to go each cue.

@@AaronHiebLighting makes no difference, r999 just releases whatever is held over active on another page. no need to re-order anything.
