Yes, her invented language. It appears in various forms in various songs. She said this is emotional language - no words involved. :) Yes, as others have suggested, "All Is soft Inside" from the same performance is over the top wonderful.

This whole kexp gig is by far my favourite performance by Aurora. The energy goes through the roof. What an amazing artist!
If there are no known words, then Aurora simply invents a new language. That sounds funny but is really so. That's genius. But this wasn't their invented language. It was just a musical stylistic device.
I think in "A different kind of human" their invented language is used. And also in "all is soft inside" (also here on KEXP) and "forgotten love"

Lol. No they aren’t in a garage. They are at a hostel in Reykjavík, Iceland where they have a weekend of music hosted by KEXP. I believe they are a radio station based out of Seattle (not entirely sure about that). Reykjavík is Bjork’s hometown and KEXP had tweeted that she was in the crowd for this performance. All is Soft Inside from the same concert is amazing.

Yes she has great lyrics usually, this one has rather very simple lyrics. Anyway I like this song very much. From the same concert I like even more All is soft Inside:). Thank you for a reaction :).
She embodies each song she sings and becomes a musical vessel, completely surrendering herself to the will of the music. When all is said and done she finds her body once more, and almost seems surprised to find herself standing in front of a microphone!

Yes, I think it's pretty much just a chant. She does have a few songs with her own made up language in them (Forgotten love/ A Different kind of human) Next up "All is soft inside" from this same venue at KEXP. She has no bad songs. Love your reactions. Keep it up

It was the same for me - I just didn´t want the song to end 😅 She is the only singer/artist I really admire the studio recordings. But even more so her live performances as her passion and energy comes through even more strongly. Thank you so much for your reaction!
KEXP is a soundstage with all the bells and whistle, producing prima quality sound. That chant is something that stuck with Aurora from a very early age when she wrote her first songs. Its her natural vocalization from her childhood. Her own personal and secret language.

Among artists and in the music industry the Norwegian singer AURORA is synonymous with quality, and she can fill a record with masterpieces time and time again. Many others are glad they manage one hit. Billie Eilish said in an interview that it was AURORA that made her become an artist and were inspired after listen to Aurora. She is a true genius artist who does not make plastic / bikini music, but is true to real creative art.

Nice reaction. The entire concert is great. I have yet to see anyone have issues with her live videos. I have even seen reactors get so into it they forget to pause or just can't bring themselves to do it. BTW i have no problems with pausing, that is what reactors do. The only exception maybe Conqueror with Conan O'Brien since that was on a US station.
Looking forward when you get to see the entire concert. She has some funny moments when she is talking to the crowd. I love it during. I loved it during the Nidarosdomen when she lost the plot of her own story.

Aurora has said in some recent interviews that the words are part of a secret language that she is developing, so they do have a meaning but so far only Aurora knows what they mean.
She has said that the words are based on sounds and emotions, and in my opinion you can definitely hear it, they are very expresive. also they sound very Norwegian or Scandinavian in origin they remind me a bit of Swedish.

IDK if you have done this song yet...but it has the same amount of passion ad energy as this. It's from her appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. It was also her 1st performance on American television. It's pretty special.

This is her 'language' generally without meaning, but in this case used as eeeeh... battle cry in the end, i guess. According to her explanation: "Churchyard' is just like the concept of someone bigger using their power in the wrong way, that happens all the time in politics, with children, women. I wanted the songs to feel empowering - like at the end of 'Churchyard', she comes back to haunt him."

Her made up language is to represent the main character coming back to haunt her abuser. The one who said she "belongs in a churchyard" which in Europe means Graveyard.
