Everytime "Linda'' touches the carnation and there is battery feedback, I am laughing. John Goodman is too funny
I was a teenager when this all happened, but as a 40 year old woman watching ACS this is hilariously sad.
Watching the most recent episode: So THAT explains this scene.
@@peteri3982 Imagine commenting on this video and seeing it in the new episode.
"I'll have a Bloody Mary and 2 AA batteries" XD XD My new pick-up line XD XD
Who's Here After The Impeachment: American Crime Story Premiere?
I Think John Is A Very Great Actor He Would Have Been Great in ACS
I just watched the Paula Jones interview and wow the actress in ACS is crushing her performance.
They Nailed The Paula Jones Look
FX Didn't Actually Reach out To Paula Jones during filming of acs
"it's my lucky dress" kinda makes more sense now
Always loved how Bob Dole referred to himself in the third person.
Nice to see Dan Aykroyd making this appearance.
“Vernon Jordan said you should get liposuction too” LOL!
The, "...and two double-A batteries," has staid in my head all these years.
Molly Shannon is just terrific she can play any role she is so talented. She plays a perfect Monica Lewinsky. John Goodman is the perfect Linda tripp!
My favorite thing she’s ever done is Night at the Roxbury!! IKEA!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Really? I love Molly, but she portrayed Monica as some horned up ditz and that’s not how the real Monica Lewinsky is at all. I get exaggeration for the sake of comedy, but none of Molly’s performance seems based in reality. It seems more based on the media’s negative and hurtful portrayal of Monica as a “slut”.
@@cheesecake134 Her portrayal seems pretty sympathetic for the time. I'm not getting the sex crazed aspect, but I've only seen this cold open. Apparently there are more Monica and Linda sketches.
You're absolutely right about how accomplished and smart Monica Lewinsky is. I have an enormous amount of respect for who she's turned out to be, and enormous empathy for young Monica.
@@sammygirl6910 She flirts with Saddam Hussein in another one and says “Mmmmmm I love BJs!(referring to Bartles & James wine coolers) in one. Yeah, I’m not getting sympathetic, even for the time.
@@cheesecake134 Only in America does a yt girl get to play the victim for sucking off someone else's husband, and turn it into a lucrative career.
Here’s my obligatory “anyone here after this was on Impeachment” comment.
This sketch feels different after watching American Crime Story: Impeachment
SNL was straight fire in the 90’s. I remember watching this episode live and laughed til I cried at the “I love BJ’s” line.
Did anyone notice the stain on monicas dress 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I DID AFTER U SAID SO, A YELLOWISH BROWN STAIN AT THE TOP OF HER LEFT SIDE DRESS, WERE SHE SPIT IT OUT..LOL.😬😬🤢🤢🤮🤮.
Is that supposed to be the dress that Clinton stained? If so, it's the wrong one. Th original dress is all blue.
Goodman should have got the Tripp role in American Crime Story Impeachment.
He's too thin now. But they could give it to Linds Tripp herself. She hasn't done anything lately but she stinks. Oh, and she's still dead.
The actual Linda Tripp reportedly got a real kick out of this particular sketch.
She got plastic surgery cause she knew how ugly she was after these sketches.
Lol, she got plastic surgery right after this sketch, it's obvious she cared
I love seeing john goodman in a dress
Molly was so good at playing Monica on SNL they should have cast her in the FX series.
i just watched this on American crime story and had to find the full clip because its so funny
“I’ll have a Bloody Mary and 2 batteries”
🤣😂🤣😂
That was good when the feedback went off when they hugged.
Who's here because of Impeachment. THEY SHOWED THIS ON TONIGHT'S EPISODE!!! 😁
I love how this has aged. We might have come around on Lewinsky but everyone still hates Tripp.
John Goodman is still a great comedian and wonderful actor
Revisiting this in 2021 is amazing
"The night you boned that guy from the Promise Keepers in the bathroom at the Smithsonian" most underrated line in the sketch.
This never ever gets old!!!!!
Who’s here right after The American Crime Story 3.7?! They showed this scene. Now I understand why he said Battery!
Goodman looks even better than Tripp! Brilliant sketch!
Principle Duvall WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE ?!? 2:29
American Crime Story Impeachment, from the 43 minute 30 second. Start of the scene with Linda and her 2 kids, sitting down to watch SNL and this coming up.
John Goodman is an amazing actor
Immediately watched this after seeing it on Impeachment: American Crime Story… Lost it when I saw it was John Goodman who played Linda Tripp! Hahahaha! 😂
John is so good in this and the dialogue is great. The battery squeak.. Too funny.
I hope American crime story would be this good
"I'll Have A Bloody Mary and 2 AA Batteries"
They’re playing this on episode 7!!!!!!!!!!!!
yo as a kid I remember this and it had me CRACKLING. Low key John Could have gotten a Emmy Nod.
This is so funny, they were great, love the line when Monica says “ tell me more about how you boned that guy from the promise keepers, “ so funny yet so typical..
Lindra Tripp deserved all that roast.
Tonight's episode of A.C.S: Impeachment! I immediately thought about this sketch.
Who’s here after watching Impeachment tonight?
Only John Goodman could portray Linda Tripp accurately.
@@3dartistguyBecause she's a terrible person and doesn't like people satirizing what a terrible person she is.
I am a Brazilian guy and after seeing American Crime Story episode 7, I have just one conclusion: This sketch is so cruel. =/
Almost as cruel as secretly recording private messages and sharing it with the editors world 👀
I feel baaad warching this, really sorry for Monica and Linda. ACS totally changed my mind
All these women were victim of a man that lost nothing but a presidency, these women got humiliated and harassed daily and constantly
Linda in American crime story is my favorite
To be a fly on the wall as Linda is watching this air on tv, when it was shown
These skits are comedy gold
This footage of American Crime Story season 3 looks great😂
"It's my lucky dress" - oh my God 😂😂
Who’s here after watching the impeachment series🖐 this is actually kinda sad knowing the backstory of Linda now...
Did Linda really look so disheveled? But daaaamn that is brutal
@@sigsin1 wow. I didn't really pay much attn coz my mom had passed away. I missed a lot around then. I missed the whole oj debacle coz I had a stalker freak out just 1 week after those murders.
0:16 MOOONICAAAAAHH!!
Theyre acting is superb! 😂
Bartles & James!!! Now THAT'S a flashback!
The dislikes are from Sarah Paulson’s burner accounts
"Ixnay on the elatiofay."
"Those sneaky democrats and their secret languages!"
@@cydelamacorra6677 I'll treat this like a straight question. It's Pig Latin for "Nix on the fellatio."
The only thing inaccurate about the performance is how quickly the two were seated in the Ritz Carlton restaurant.
The resemblance to Linda Tripp is...uncanny! Especially the voice and body!
OMG!!!! THIS SKIT DID ACTUALLY APPEAR ON THE REAL IMPEACHMENT SHOW!!!!!!
Going back and watching these sketches from back in the day, all I can think is how they wouldn’t get away with it now, because of all the fat-shaming.
Just came here after watching the American crime story- impeachment 😁😁😁
"Hello young unidentified young lady" 😂😂
Kattan needs to be invited as an honorable host, could anyone please somehow do so?
Watched this on American Crime Story this week…
I. AM. HOWLING....😂😭
I want a friend like Linda
Her dress has a stain on it and his flower is a recording device😩🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The semen stain on the dress is so over the top. This was on NBC local TV stations, not even cable. The 90s were wild. 😂
John Goodman's so talented: first he played Linda Tripp on SNL, and now he's playing Lucianne Goldberg on ACS.
This is solid gold
Wow, Sarah Paulson really disappears into her role here.
This hits different after, yknow.
"Ixnay on the ellatio-fay." was a great line.
American Crime Story: Impeachment brought me here! John Goodman as Linda Tripp is so hilarious!!!
Here after watching “Impeachment American Crime Stories “💯🙌🏾👍🏿
Molly Shannon is so underrated
I swear I have more respect for both of them as actors after this....
I remember 1998. Leno, SNL, Letterman and other media made fun of Lewinksy, Clinton and Tripp non-stop.
comedy gold
This skit is hard to swallow. Too soon?
I was living in DC during Monicagate. JR's, the neighborhood bar in the Districts gay Dupont Circle area, had a Linda Tripp drag queen lookalike contest.
Someone entered their English Setter.
It won 3rd place.
Luvy luvy John Goodman!
LOL omg still classic
John Goodman is hotter dressed as Linda Tripp than the actual Linda Tripp
Okay a 1990's sidebar: Why would they tell Dole to stick a pen/pencil in his affected hand? Boy, that won't draw attention.🤔
Apparently he carried it so people would not try to shake that hand.
41-43, The Golden Age of SNL Presidents!
"Dirty dirty sex" 🤣
They were both mocked for their weight and appearance.
I really don’t understand why in Monica’s case. Even as far back in 1998 I don’t know why someone would say she was fat or chubby.
@@josehinojosa9752 While she didn't deserve to be ridiculed, the girl was a bit plump at the time, or what's now called 'thicc'. I believe the casting of Monica Lewinsky was purposeful (since Monica, herself, was a co-producer)
@@Joe_Parmesan right. I just didn’t think she was large enough in size to warrant any ridicule. I thought her figure was fine even back in 1998.
Here after ACS🤣🤣
Omg I love them both!
It feels so different to see this after the american crime story episode
RIGHT!!!
Right!! That was brutal lol
Same!
I laughed so hard when this popped up in ACS. The thought that Linda Tripp had seen them parody her was hilarious. Even though on some I feel a bit sorry for her too.. The only thing better was the "stand by your man" scene with Hillary. I dont feel a bit sorry about that one.
@@jxnjxn8106 I don't feel even REMOTELY sorry for Linda Tripp!! As much of a pig as Clinton was & as much as that was an abuse of power, the #1 villain in that whole scandal is definitely Linda Tripp. I felt that way before ACS, and I feel that way even MORE after seeing ACS.
