You always do nice reviews, man! I loved your Brontus 2 review! I do freelance art for Boss Fight Studio, and I drew the packaging for all four of these figures. That said, I was a fan of Boss Fight's products long before I began doing freelance illustration for them. Their original 3.75" skeletons made me a fan of their figures. I know that the 4" HACKS figures are designed to be taken apart, and pieces from other figures can be changed in and out for customizing. I'm pretty sure the these are 6" scale HACKS, so these should be able to do the same. That means that if you want, you can remove their clothing and gear and just make them naked skeletons. So if you want a more traditional Grim Reaper, just switch out the blue with the barbarian or the gladiator. IMO, no one does better skeletons than Boss Fight Studio, and it's because of the realism. Their skeletons look and feel like a skeleton is supposed to. Not overly cartoonish or stylized, but something that a bit more realistic. They could fit with your Mezco Conan, Mafex Batman, McFarlane Multiverse, your Marvel Legends figures, your GI Joe Classified figures, or any other toyline that emphasizes realism. They'd even work pretty good with Mytic Legions too, I'd wager. The EPIC Skeletons evoke more of that classic D&D art feel too. I can see Larry Elmore, Jeff Easley or even Keith Parkinson having painted undead skellies like these. They remind me also a little more of the Harryhausen JASON & THE ARGONAUTS skellies. A tad more realistic perhaps, but Harryhausen's skellies had to have an inner metal skeleton of their own. heh. Take a look a the spines on these figures. The detail is unreal. Artists can use these skeletons as artists models. Whether you like the realism or you not, these skeletons are exactly what they should be. The kind of realism a lot of fans like me want. I was thrilled to get to do packaging on these. I think Boss Fight Studio hit these out of the park. Again, I do freelance illustration for them, but I'm not on their payroll. I can say pretty much what I want about things. Drawing skeletons in dynamic poses was a real pain in the ass, but also a lot of fun! Boss Fight Studios do great stuff. That's one of the main reasons that I like working for them.
The proportions on these guys are really great. They could easily double as actual skeletons just laying around on a display. I might have to get them now. 🤔
The angled Roman sword is a Sica. The angled top half faced the enemy. The angled part would often come down over a shield and still strike the wielder and often through pain or injury, deshield them. Sometimes if the blow was in the right spot, would still kill the shielded soldier.
I Preordered 1 of these Boss Fight Bone boys and 2 Fwoosh skeletons. In Retrospect it should have been the other way around. Hope they put out a 2 or 3 pack of "BARE BONED" figures without accessories for a good price.
Question: Can you swap the soft goods and the Pumpkin head from the Grim Reaper onto the Green Pirate body? 🤔 I think that would make for a pretty cool Grim-Headless Horseman type of look 😎 😉 thanks again for the awesome video 😁👍
Great review! You got me really tempted to pick these up. Thanks for the comparison with ML. I’m relieved that they don’t scale as well with ML. I’m only supposed to be dabbling with ML and can’t afford to go down this Epic HACKS rabbit hole.
I know this is wn older video but how do they scale with the xesray combatants figures? Im contemplating getting some of both lines and even some of the upcoming epic hacks blanks to use some of thos armor on but if they are ridiculously out of scale i don't want to waste my money .
Oh I seen these but didn't know they were bigger. Might have to get one now or not since there are a few good skeletons out in the same scale. But I do love skeletons.
Do you think they look like an proper ascetic skeleton completely stripped down or are there some weird articulation gaps or wonky spots hidden by the gear?
I did watch the vid and saw where he pointed it out, but that doesn’t mean totally stripped down it’s going to look good either. He has a calibre for quality which I trust, hence why I was asking for more detailed specific info

Great review! These looks awesome can't wait!

I was wondering the same thing. I think the Jack o lantern head and robe would look good on the green skeleton.
Great unboxing and figure review 👍 You can never have too many Skeletons for the horde 😁👍
What's the best way to buy these also can you take all the accessories off and make a bare bones skeleton
I wouldn't mind seeing some jawless head options...
Interesting. They didn't do their collector friendly packaging like all their other HACKs have.
Thanks! Just went and snagged the reaper figure!
How do they look inside Hasbro's Dungeons and Dragons Gelatinous Cube?
These are awesome, just ordered 3!
I like the more realistic looking ones so k can put them in dioramas but Greta review my dude 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

They look REALLY good. Does the pirate one glow in the dark? If it doesn't it feels like a missed opportunity.

I really like that the Barbarian skeleton looks a lot like He-man. I would like to get that one.
The gladiators replacement hand is a siscor
Awesome review

Or you can watch the video where he answers that

I wish he stripped them down to show us….
I like these more than the Mythic Legion skeletons.
Are you able to take off the robe on the blue skeleton?
Wondering this as well, want to remove and use for a non skeleton
I want so many of these, plus there is wave 2....oof 😂😂😂
Wow, creepy
you say "why not" repetitively, It's annoying
Guess u can't go with a naked skeleton..... 😢. Guess this won't work for me
It looks like you can with at least one of them
articulation sux, easy pass
BBTS just got these in. I have the grim reaper and barbarian coming but I think I need the pirate too. They also just put wave 2 up for po
