25th of December isn't the birthday of Jesus. The winter celebration originates from the angel Mitra in the Aryan people's religion Zorostrianism, birthday of Mitra = Zata Mitra. Mitra is the angel or Pravashi of Light, and it basically has to do with the Winter Solstice. The ancient Aryans celebrated Winter Solstice starting around 7000 years ago, basically because back then 95% procent of the global populations were farmers and Winter Solstice and Summer Solstice are important days for farmers; the number of daylights increase at the Winter Solstice and you start preparing for the spring, and the number of daylights decrease at the Summer Solstice at which point you start to prepare for the autumn. This was later adopted by the Romans and then incorporated into Christianity. So the 25th of December, Winter Solstice and Summer Solstice, thus, has nothing to do with Jesus and Christianity.
Just think of how many real humans will watch this youtube video in 50 years.....damn we are wasting time watching and commenting on mindless content right now....
@pavelow235 You got that right! I grew up in the 80s with 12 tv channels. I would have never imagined that in my lifetime I would have access to an unimaginable amount of media.
Home Alone isnt just any Holiday film, It's THE holiday film. fun fact about the Film: The Winnetka House used in the film was never actually filmed inside, it was only used for exterior shots, due to the cramped space inside preventing film crews from bieng able to effectively work inside the house, so all of the interior shots were filmed on a set built inside a nearby inside Basketball court. the set was built to match the inside of the house and the set decorators made sure to the color Green and red as much as possible in every corner of the sets. the only shade of blue in the film are the blue counter tiles in the kitchen. for the exterior shots they needed snow but there wasnt any real snow during filming so the production crew used Potato Flakes instead. for the shots depicting a outside entrance into the homes basement, a fake entrance was built at the actual house and was returned to normal after the films production. the actual house does not have a outside entrance to the basement.
I laugh hysterically every year that scene comes on. The only other movie that makes me laugh that hard is Nothing To Lose when the spider is on Tim Robin’s head
When my dad was alive we always wish for a home like the home alone house. Anytime we would search for a home we would say is it like the home alone house? Miss you daddy. 🥺🪽🕯️
@ Hardly. The average home in the 1980s was a lot 1,800 square feet. The home in Home Alone is 9,126 square feet. That’s bigger than the average home in the US today! It’s five bedrooms and six bathrooms. It is hardly reflective of the average middle class home in the 1980s.
This is one of my favorite movies to watch at Christmas time. My children grew up watching this movie every year at Christmas and today they have families of their own and they still watch this movie every Christmas. It will always be a classic.
The interview with Daniel is very sweet. And it’s nice to hear how Macaulay is still close with his movie mom. Glad they’re doing well. They made a Christmas classic for all of us to enjoy.
I wish Macauley did buy the house, and showcase how much this house really means to everyone and the house itself. Was just there 2 days ago, I can say its getting worse and worse every time a new owner takes over. Its truly sad
Good decision to come back, because Marv's electrocution scene is New York, is by far one of the funniest. I saw it in theatre and the audience was belly laughing so loud it was hard to hear the next scene.
I remember not liking Stern as a kid because I was obviously little. lol but now that I’m older he is what made that movie so great and he is such a good person.
Love love love Daniel Stern. I looked at his sculptures & they are beautiful & actually available to BUY!!! Makes me happy seeing him doing what he loves the most. Favorite Wet Bandit🫶🏽🫶🏽
He also played Steve Brickman as well for the Chicago Cubs in the movie rookie of the year. We need more Brickman in the world Daniel Stern if you’re out there, please bring back Steve Brickman permanently. The Cubs need you the Cubs need another World Series not just for one year, but for many years
In Holland we have two Christmas days. 1st Christmas day on December 25, 2nd Christmas day on December 26. We have a tradition to watch every year since basically its been on tv since it came out on Christmas to watch Home Alone 1 on December 25, and Home Alone 2 on December 26. This year too!😊
He should have gotten the house 🏡 that was in the movie 🎥 Home Alone plus love ❤️ the whole cast and crew of the movie 🍿 this movie is amazing and phenomenal man tonight I’m going to watch this movie
I’m still mourning that we will never get a home alone/die hard crossover. Bruce should have pushed for that movie a decade ago. Greatest team up ever.
Does anyone remember the Home Alone Nintendo game? You would put square icon traps down to prevent them from catching you, and they would get faster and faster chasing you!!! I want to play it again so bad now 😢
When I was a kid I was obsessed with the Home Alone movie. My parents decided to throw me a home alone themed birthday. Which was a really easy to pull off since all they had to do was leave...
I wish he could have bought the house and have it be a walk through museum lol im pretty sure the owners of it, have a fence in front of it now to keep people away.
He should have bought it tbh. The price was pretty fair. Not sure if it sold or if it's still on the market but he should have bought it and designed it to be the same as how it was in the movie. Even though the movie was filmed in a school gym
now imagine if they made another movie with all the original cast now with their own children and grandchildren and of course you have to bring back pesci and stern as the wet bandits
They should make a Home Alone with Mac, but he's an Uncle trying to see his sister/or brothers, nephew or neice but they mistake him for a burgular and set up traps just to realize it's their Uncle Mac! That would be an interesting idea! Macauley, as the bad guy getting pranked
He had an interesting childhood.. Richest kid on the planet but his parents had authority over his money and his father gambled it all away. I can understand why he turned out the way he did.
They should have asked the actor who played one of the wet bandits they were talking to if they ever do another home alone again or a meet and greet or autograph signing will he ever be a part of it if they ask him
The first two Home Alones are one of the few movies I never get tired of watching!
What about the third movie?)
Same love it
Two of your favorite movies.
The first two home alones are the only two movies i will never watch!
@@Timur_Alma-atanew actor but it wasn’t terrible. First 2 are nostalgia classics
I expect him to buy the house and make a 'Home Alone' museum.
Home Alone is a very great family movie and a Christmas movie. I really love this movie.
Facts💯
I expect him to buy it and live there like he is Kevin forever
Well, I'm basically buying Home Alone nick knacks and the Blu-Rays and dvds every year. Lol
I expect him to make another movie

Thats so awesome how Daniel does all the things he does in his life because he is enjoying life.
Yeah pile of money is a timeless concept
home alone will probably still be playing in 50 years.
It will be forgotten within 50 years, washed out by the AI remake.

It was filmed inside some. Curtains closed, set. Curtains open house. Seeing outside house. Looking in, set. I believe.
@@jasonsimpkins9069Sounds similar to “A Christmas Story”.
I won a spelling competion back in 1990 to see Home Alone!!! this is my childhood. ❤
Nice.
Neat! What word did you win with?
I’m laughing all over again hear Daniel Stern screaming when the spider was placed on his face 😂😂😂😂

Home Alone 1 & 2 are the movies that most encapsulate my childhood and that I rewatch every year now with my daughter. ❤
I was around 10 when I watched this in the theater. Perfect age for this amazing movie.
Daniel Stern, the voice of Kevin from the show The Wonder Years. A great actor!
Never knew that!
He should’ve been casted in The Irishman to have a scene with Pesci
This movie will always be the ultimate Christmas movie ever!!!!
This movie never gets old 😅 Love to watch 😂

Home Alone made so many good memories with my family. Thank you to all the actors!!
Such a classic film! That one and How The Grinch Stole Christmas… 2 of my favorite 1990’s-2000’s Christmas films. Probably my 2 fav ever, tbh.
Jim Carrey's the Grinch came out 11/17/2000 and the original cartoon came out 12/18/1966 so they're not both 1990s
Me too!
@@zarephal4998 He's saying that his two favorite films are Home Alone and How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
I believe that house is currently on the market again. Winnetka is a nice neighborhood. Good school districts. Go for it.
If Macauley doesn’t do it someone else definitely will
It’s not. Already sold.
Daniel Stern’s 1995 film 🎞️ Bushwacked, was and still is such a fun watch for me. Watched it all the time as a teen.

It doesn’t make any sense because the house was used for exterior shots only. The interiors were filmed on a sound stage.
I would love to buy that house!!❤
I’m sure the people in that neighborhood would’ve loved him turning the house into a “movie funhouse.”
He should have Diplomatic Priority for that .
I can scarcely imagine what it would be like to be able to consider buying a luxury home "just for giggles."
I bet he had a lot of fun memories in that house.
