Low key, a very solid waterpark, we rarely go but we stopped in there for a little last week, the new kids addition looks awesome. If they ever got a water coaster, that would really make that waterpark shine
I’m not a big waterpark enthusiast so I don’t know how good this park really is. I’ve also never actually been in hurricane harbor despite how much I go to great adventure.
The waterpark has about a 4 month season, while the main park has a 9-10 month season. They have a lot more time to maintain the waterpark, which is much smaller than the main park. I've never been to Great Adventure's Hurricane Harbor, but I have been to the locations at SFNE and Great Escape. I've always felt that Six Flags wasn't very good at operating waterparks. The operations are slow, the tubes for the lazy river and tube slides are not as plentiful as the should be, and the random pool closures are annoying. I used to work at a waterpark, and we didn't have to close the wavepool unless two lifeguards left their posts to save a guest. We could also operate the slides a lot faster. If the slide ended in a pool then we could send the next guest as soon as the previous one was in the pool. We could also load the next tube as soon as the previous one was on the slide, and just hold them at the top until the minimum interval had passed. I've noticed at the Hurricane Harbor locations, that they make everyone wait behind a chain, and don't start loading the next guests until then previous ones have completely exited the pool. I'm sure Hurricane Harbor is very profitable, given that they keep filling it to capacity and have added a lot of operating days to the calendar. I think the reason they haven't expanded it is because of how difficult it is to keep the park staffed. Pretty much everyone working at a ride needs to be trained as a lifeguard. Their biggest gap is a water coaster. Maybe there are some other slide types that they don't have yet, but would be a good fit. The park has the potential to expand if they can figure out how to get enough lifeguards.
I love taking my kids and wife to hurricane harbor, we did it ALOT last year! I havnt been this year but I can tell some things defiantly changed. I gotta look into those cabanas because the food service is great especially with having little toddlers 😂
@@edt-ze3ke cliff diver was an 80ft body slide you could see from interstate 495 it use to be the landmark for Splish Splash 🌊🏝️there was no trap door you just went straight down the slide which went through a building at the end it was amazing
Wowzers! I have no intentions personally on going to the water park, but really cool seeing the new kiddie splash area which actually looks great! Also Big wave racers being closer to the other rides is a fantastic change cause going out of your way to get there was a pain before.
Went for the first time yesterday. My two criticisms: 1) I've never been to a waterpark where there is such a lack of tubes to use. Frustrating. 2) Not enough staff/lifeguards for putting people down the slides. 1 guard managing 4 slides took forever to go down.
Kind of want to use my pass and go into hurricane harbor just to take a picture in front of the shark. Then immediately leave and go over to Great Adventure for the rest of the day.
Its disgusting how much they charge for food and water in these parks. 6.50 for a bottle of water??? Theres literally no excuse except they are completely trying to exploit you.

It’s pretty good
I enjoy it but I like the one at Dorney a lot more
Splash mountain looks awesome! I love the water park but I prefer the amusement park because hurricane harbor is often crowded

Went last weekend and I have to say that the crowds were much more well behaved and chill than the people at Dorney Parks Wild Water Kingdom crowd.

To have your meal plan redemptions and tropical drinks brought to your cabana, right in Jackson, NJ? Must have felt as if you were in the Bahamas.
It says on the app that zumanjaro has reopened. Can you confirm that? Might give it a ride when I head back
It did! Vlog from the dry park releasing tomorrow!
I've been up to that Hurricane Harbor once (2022). Very impressed with the quality of slides and such.
Don't they have a shuttle bus to the dry park?
As far as I know they do not have that as of right now
When do you think that El Toro will be back up? Oh and great video, I might check out the water park on my trip
Hopefully within a week or two, maybe sooner, and thank you!
@@ColiwoodStudios I'm actually getting a visit from my buddy who's been on Fury over 2000 times. Hope it's running by the time he comes next month.
Hurricane Harbor needs a cliff diver type ride that used to be at Splish Splash 🌊🏝️
Not sure if there will be any trap door slides appearing anytime soon. I believe that trend died out in the late 2010s but I’m not sure.

Do they still have the VIP area for diamond members? Where is it located?

Man I love that water park not to put my home park down here in MD but it a lot batter than what we have
