- “Checkmate”. The Pieper Band of Warriors performance of their 2023 production at the UIL 5A Area D Marching Contest Finals on October 28, 2023. In prelims, the band successfully advanced to finals after performing 2nd of 25 bands and placing 6th overall. In finals, the band moved up to 3rd place and advanced to the UIL State Marching Contest. This was the first Area Finals for the BoW, the first invitation to the State contest, and the highest placement in district history in the 5A classification.
