- Alice Bag and Ohmytvconefive visit three historic cantinas in Mexico City: Tio Pepe in Barrio Chino, Salon Paris in Santa Maria la Ribera; and Salon Tenampa (El Tenampa) in Plaza Garibaldi. We share the history of each bar and a bit about what makes each cantina special.
Ugh, this video is so good I had to comment twice! You guys are awesome
I am obsessed with all things History. So thank you for this vlog!
We are obsessed with history too. It seems to enrich every experience.
@@AliceandGreg I agree!
There is one cantina called Casa Abundio, is very near Chopo Tianguis, sometimes rockers and punks go after visiting Chopo Tianguis on Saturdays
Thanks for the tip!
Awesome video! Really interesting history, it really brings life to the spots.
Glad you enjoyed it! We love places with cool history and hope to visit more historic cantinas soon!
@@AliceandGreg Definitely, hope to visit as well. I’m currently on my journey towards dual citizenship myself. I’m using Acta America also. That’s for the advice, you guys are great. Keep up the work
Have been enjoying your videos since you've moved to DF, can't wait to get to my cultural roots in the future
Uncovering those roots can be very rewarding, not to mention fun!
Lovely! you mentioned the Palace in Prescott? Fun, quick story- I was kicked out of there in 1989! I had a bet going with a couple of friends that I could get kicked out of every bar on Whiskey Row in one night, so I took a page from Jack Grisham, and donned a white, yellow and orange polyester dress, paired with spray painted orange Fry's engineer boots, and proceeded. I did win the bet, but still had to spend the next few years apologizing to a lot of people, so, did I really win? Anyway, all those Cantinas look awesome, hope you do some follow ups, because I'm loving seeing these places...
Ha, ha, ha! I’ve been kicked out of my fair share of bars but I never deliberately worked at it! Sounds like you made Jack proud.
But do they serve good margaritas?
