Spear dagger does some much damage in pve and I love it so much , having my guild members grab all the enemy’s they can and group up in a cave and then melt them all with 5 ability’s , feels pretty good as a dps
This build is very... tasty. And I have questions : You are very specific regarding the initial opening of a fight, and the video shows exactly how it runs, which is amazing. But you don't go into details regarding how you would continue on for a fight lasting longer than the 38 seconds boss. How do you handle the different CDs of your differents buffs ? I find myself autoattacking a lot. There are "low intensity" combos that you can do while some of your bigger buffs are on CD, but I'm sure there's optimisation to be found there, and if you could/would like to, I'm sure some guidance would go a long way for a lot of guys watching :)

Bro, how do you deal with mana issue? when doing dungeon/dimensional runs, in boss area part, mana is always my problem. You cant always use milk unless you're not combat mode.
Great video! May I ask comparing to xbow/dagger, which one do you think is less ping reliant? I see that some of the spear skills have longer animation but there are also those five-time casting ones.
Love your videos, I have a request, something no one has been doing. The builds are excellent, great burst dps but at the cost of mana. I've nearly perfected my dps daggers, crossbow build to keep mana just about going but there's always that down time. Is there a better build that does less dps in bursts but more over time because of better mana efficiency, and so a more constant rotation, a poison build maybe, a build that might actually be better for those longer boss fights, an experiment worth checking out?

I'm definitely a casual player here and I haven't used daggers a ton since launch, but wanted to mix things up since I've been getting bored with my mains (Staff/Bow) and was wondering what skills you prioritize after your first rotation? Do I use whatever skills comes off cooldown like other builds, or am I waiting for certain skills to come off before proceeding to attack again?
If you haveana issues wait until you can use the full rotation again. Otherwise use, cleaving moonlight, explosive fury x5 and then javelin x5. At that point you then should be able to repeat the listed rotation if you have the same cooldown speed as me
Great video Aragon as always. Could you make a rank system ? Like you have in neverwinter? For example, sustain dps single target. Time the build takes to bring down the dummy. In this case not estimating, but actually tanking one or 2 minutes hitting the fc dummy😅, to see the mana sustain. Back to division, where bosses were sponges, sustain dps was king for pve. And burst dps for pvp.
Can you explain how bloodleech aura works? me as spear/dagger is very hard to solo abbys, the mana l can get from the dagger block but l dont know how to sustein with blood aura

I was looking forward to playing staff/spear, and then we get this. Oh good, another weapon to pair with daggers, like there were not enough of them. Nearly every weapon in the game now synergises with daggers :D good strategy from devs to support diversity in builds :D Kidding of course. From what I've seen and tested daggers and SnS are the only weapons that combine well with the spear
@ecosti yeah, that's your experience/opinion. I am playing GS/spear on my alt, and it is literally like playing with two separate weapons. Every streamer suggests daggers/spear, to quckly buildup thunderclouds/ignite and bomard with demage.

not worth. we get so much heavy attack. You have your bastion and now runes add another 222 you need the attack speed and crit from Dex, cooldown and mana regen from Wisdom. With the buff duration from perception
Hay sry noob here, but can you explain me the difference between lets say 30% buff duration and 51%? For example my Umbral Spirits hold for 9 secs with 28% but in your Newest video it also just hold for 9 secs.
my buff duration is like 20%, I don't have the traits. It just directly increases the duration of your buffs. If it normally lasts 6s and you have 50% buff duration, it now lasts 9s. simply (6 x 1.5 = 9)
if i main dagger and staff am i even allowed to use a spear? people say the combat quick slot load outs are just to switch between pvp or pve but that was weird to me, theres 3 loadout slots and you can buy more, i figured the slots are their to make other weapon builds on the same character? but no? aslo where in the hell do i get the spear?
I am using them for switching pvp/pve/boss, but I have one gear slot and skill slot combined for switching to different weapon. The quick settings is bugged though, every time it resets back to the first skill set when I switch them, so I have to constantly switch it back.

Get 50 Str for pvp, but not worth for PvE. You are have a lot of heavy attack with +222 from runes and +200 from bastion now as well. You need the attack speed, crit, cooldown, mana, buff duration from Dex, Wis, Perc

Hey aragon i dont play or will play spear but cool to see what the spear can do, maybe you already know this but as a tip i saw that you have some green / blue skills i finished my bow setup as a secondary dagger-xbow/bow and it was difficult to find enough skill books / gold and a friend taught me just yesterday that you can disenchant higher quality parchments to get a lot of the lower rarity parchments makes it easy to level everything to epic and for gold i sold some materials i would definitely recommend

Some one made a mistake selling the queens spear i snagged it for 6k luckent there after i see them listed for 90k i wasnt as lucky as the fella who paid 63 lucent it also took me almost 5 hours of sitting and watching the market now the painful part unlocking traits spears level 9 with no traits currently
Honestly, yes this is fast, and good for single target. But I don't believe it's the max total DPS. As burst/speed build is not great for AOE damage. When running open dungeons, building thunder debuff + AOE specs. Is best
This goes without saying tbh. You typically have different builds for bossing vs. Aoe. You can mash the two together but you'll be suboptimal at both. Either way playstyle>optimizing. But I will say quick clears do feel good
@@Natsooki0912 I think the case I was thinking off was bow, where you can do 60k+ damage to single target with 1 hit and still output crazy damage with all other skills. In this case, bows single target skills far outperform its AOE skills. Now, in all honestly, Im just now seeing that the end of the title says "single target" which I had not seen before as that part had not loaded on my screen as I was watching this video on my phone so the title cut off LOL. But I did agree, this is probably the best single target rotation for spear

More peak damage, like when they get lucky with offhand and heavy attacks in their Detonation mark rotation. But overall I don't think much more on average
This rotation is so hard to get right. The 1st rotation nice... then the cool downs appear... and you amonst the thick of it hahaha... like cool downs arent back but you gotta hit... its like fuck what next 😂. 14 combo rotation will take sometime to get used to. My buff duration is 44% im 3750 and still cant beat it within 3minutes 😂. Im console though... so your keybinds are like a cheat code. Lol
After the 14 rotation, you can do 1 cleaving and 5x explosive fury and 5x javelin, after that your cooldowns should be ready for the full rotation again
xbow dagger is very gear reliant it feels like for example with pvp gear you will have really hard time doing the more difficult pve content, unless you get another gear set just for pve
@@kingsgold 3.5k is quite low now with the runes added, you should be at least 3.8/3.9k as I am 4.1k already (yes f2p, but yes i have a lot of time to play). However you shouldn't really have a problem clearing infinity with 3.5 in under 3 minutes to get the rewards. So probably a skill issue and I'd recmmend maybe watching some guides for the specific boss that week
@ I haven’t been grinding runes. I wasn’t at max cp before runes dropped. I have runes on, but a mix of quality and still missing runes in slots. Also, still don’t have all purple gear yet and some of my purple gear is still missing trait levels.
At first you almost lost me when you said weeklies bc nothing on there is enough to barely give you back 20 lucent… but ring of universal power???…. Was not aware that they dropped that ring in weeklies, so now it’s weeklies, transmutation and bosses, way to make that ring less valuable, hey at least will be affordable
Ok so hear me out, your wasting the use of lequiris daggers. But I also find that more dex does better with spear. So either swap knife throwing to shadow strike/frenzied sword dance to trigger the daggers ability, or just swap those to rex chimeris daggers for the dex boost. Both options will yield more damage.

You are clearly not playing high end content or just the game at all. Good luck to your healer keeping you alive with that kind of stats. This is a PvP game, there is no need of a pve build to clear the content.

Aragon, there is a magic number about attack speed x heavy attack? Ex.: 1% or 10?

why use those? when the passives clearly state on spear they dont work witht hose dagger skills?
if you're using cleaving moonlight once, why are you taking the consecutive use specialization?
For the 15% attack speed. You don't get it without the consecutive use

It doesn't though it's not a mobility skill
And on the off chance that I'm wrong if it is triggering the daggers then that's a glitch and you can't rely on that as it might get patched
Go test it. It triggers all mobility related skills and passives

This is a PvP game, there is no need of a pve build to clear the content.
