Honestly I'm abit chubby but I'm really happy the way I'm. Body positivity is imp. Especially where some people judge u on your appearance. Tha k u so much for this beautiful movie. Sangeetha, I have had very similar experiences my whole life from family members and family-like friends my whole life.
Little did I know until my mid 30s that I had a condition called PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Disease) which may or may not affect the ovaries. It's name may even be changed to Metabolic Syndrome. At the root of it is Insulin resistance , also behind diabetes, etc. It is more common in the South Asians.
This finally explained why I was bigger in size than my sister even though she ate môre than me!
I am so proud of you for standing up for yourself! It takes a tremendous amount of courage to do so in front of you parénts, etc.
