Important Message for alll #Bengali film makers .This is immediate need of hour.I have been saying this for the last 1 year. The following steps must be done forthwith:
1.আপনারা যদি বাংলা ছবি সত্যিই ব্যবসাকে বাড়াতে চান এবং বাংলা film industry উন্নতি চান then for heavens sake immediately please add captions /subtitles in English whenever you release film teasers and trailers/songs Also if trailer /songsand teasers are released by way of built in subtitles then please ensure that the font size is readable...
I live in Chennai ..so me being a #Bengali If I want to share any trailer/teaser/songs of any #Bengalifilm to any of my south Indian friend of mine via any social media platform my hands are tied because there are no subtitles /captions in English. How horrible is this...? Today the reason Southern films do such high business is because they have strong content and they are able to attract even people who are not able to understand their language.This is done through subtitles and captions in English. Take any trailer of any Tamil /Telugu /Malayalam filmeither they always release teasers/ trailers with English captions and subtitles.
So Captions /subtitles in English to be added whenever Bengali film teasers/ dialogue promos/ trailers/songs are released Also if trailer /songs/ dialogue promos and teasers are released by way of built in subtitles then please ensure that the font size is readable..
2.Jodi South Indian Cinema Bangla dub hoye dekhano hochhe in BanglaTV channels then why Bangla Cinema South Indian Language e.g Tamil / Telegu / Malayalam dub kore dekhano jabe na... Ei one way dubbing keno?? This hypocrisy must be stopped.. UA-cam channels like Goldmine Films and other leading dubbing houses must be contacted and best bangla films in the last 100 years of Bangla cinema must be dubbed and re released for non - Hindi audience
3. Today if Tamil / Telegu films are shown in Kolkata then such film distributors must sign a deal with their Southern Counterparts to release Bengali films in TN / ANDHRA/ Telengana/Kerala either by way of Sub titles / dubbbed version For this,deals must be inked with leading Distribution houses Dharma Productions,Yash Raj Films ,Red Chillies,Viacom 18,Maddock Films, Phantom ,RSVP films to distribute Bengali films all across India. 4.Proper marketingtof #Bengalifilms is a must including deals with widely recognised popular OTT platforms( Eg. Amazon Prime,Hotstar, Netflix) and not merely regional OTT platform (Eg. HOICHOI) E.g. FilmslikeNagarkirtan,Chotushkone,BHOBHISHOTER BHOOT are nowhere available in any popular nationwide OTT platform ( except in Hoichoi)
5. To promote healthy competition and powerful content driven cinema leading production houses of India such as Dharma Productions,Yash Raj Films ,Red Chillies,Viacom 18,Maddock Films, Phantom ,RSVP films, Fox century India they must be invited to produce and distribute Bengali films all across India. The same applies mutatis mutandis applies for music labels too.Popular music labels such as T-Series,Sony must also must be attracted so to distribute Bengali film music all across not only in West Bengal but also all other parts of India.
6. Proper representation must be given to Government of West Bengal so as to allocate land for construction of single screen theaters / multiplexes so that screens can be increased on warfooting basis.This request must be made for not only Kolkata and its suburbs but also in remaining cities and districts of #West Bengal e.g Durgapur,Asansol,Haldia,Dooars, Siliguri
7. *Copyright Claim must be made by respective production houses so that recent **#Bangla** films which have been illegally uploaded on UA-cam ( such as Praktan,Posto,BelaSeshe,Shabdo,Iche, Aschorjyo Prodip,Jyeshtoputro) by unauthorised channels can be brought down*
8. *Implementation of Anti piracy laws must be done in true letter and spirit. Stringent action must be taken against those who violate these laws. Producers must coordinate with Police including Cyber Crime Cell so that these criminals can be nabbed and brought to justice. E.g In Chennai ,Tamil Actor Vishal sought help and coordinated with Cyber Crime Cell so as to nab persons who were illegal uploading Tamil films in website called TamilRockers*
9. People who are connected with #Bangla film industry such as Bengali actor , actress directors , writers need a good PR management team ( including their active presence in socal media) so that they must reach out not only to #Bengali audience but also to non- Bengali audience such as more presence in Mainstream media channels like Zoom and in shows hosted by popular film critics Rajeev Masand, Anupama Chopra,Komal Nahata etc
