Dave (the guy you liked) is the sniper guy from first mission in north yankton who tried to kill Trevor but accidentally shot brad. That's why when Trevor said "let's go this way to the chopper" Michael said "stick to the plan" so dave could kill him

The building where we save Michael is a slaughterhouse, if I'm not mistaken, there were a few missions in GTA Online there.
