Hi. Paul. Nice walk. Have to say, under different circumstances, I think I'd be jumping at this hike. 3 Munros for under 1000m and a route profile that looks very enticing on Walkhighlands😄! Anyway keep them videos coming. You're my surrogate hillwalker😂!!

I do remember that bothy! Is it the red bothy? I’m sure there is a reference to it in one of the Munro guide books although I couldn’t see any mention of it in The Bothy bible. We did the same walk, but in reverse back in the eighties. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Graham. Yeah it's the wee red bothy. I think the weather has softened the red somewhat though! It feels like its seen it's fair share of weary travellers with names going back into the seventies and earlier. A great wee stop in what was a very boggy walk. Thanks for watching again. Paul

Technology let me down Andrew! I had a lot more footage but the rode mic went haywire! I'm done with it and it's been retired to the long list of failures....its a fair old trek between the first and second. And when you get there it's not very impressive 😁😁. Do you know even after that wade through the water my feet were bone dry! Good old winter boots. It was a couldn't care less moment though!,, cheers mate! Paul

@@andrewsadventures5747 yeah Andrew, the rode appeared to be working but after 5 secs each clip had no audio? Annoying! My winter walking boots are Scarpa Active SL. As long as you keep them clean and proofed they are very good and very waterproof. I use a set of gortex gaiters, and gortex motorbike liner socks. These combined will stop my feet from getting wet pretty much through the winter! Paul
Hey Paul - was this a Rode shotgun mic or wireless? (not that I have any answers) just I occasionally use the rode wireless mics and the only prob I have had is when I tried to record while also charging the receiver on the camera and got a crazy buzzing noise. - was just wondering if the cold or damp got to your Mic/Receiver - camera? as I will be using the wireless mics in winter which I have not done before (was it when you were higher up?) did you revert to the onboard camera mic when you noticed the failing? tech fails are a B****** - usually it's also schoolboy errors with me! when you say you have "retired it" what are you replacing with?
