I posted this on a previous vid but I really want The Infographic Show to do an episode on how the criminal system works as in the differences between 1st degree murder, manslaughter, etc, and what penalties they might include life in prison, capitol punishment, etc? I find this topic super interesting.
1st degree murder is the worst type, while manslaughter is the most lenient type. To put it simply, 1st degree was 100% intentional and premeditated. Manslaughter would be an accident. 3rd degree would be an accidental murder you tried to cover up and sometimes a hit-and-run that’s fatal. 2nd degree would be if you had a moment of insanity, for example, or another similar case.
This topic is too complex for an 11 minute video. Different countries have different laws, punishments could be lenient regarding attorneys and judges and such, evidence is also taken into account and personal or prior history. You're better off reading into you own country's laws on your own TBH.
Not really detectives but in Marvel Comics there's a group of kids/teens that constantly are in conflict against their criminal parents. They call themselves the Runaways
I honestly have a bit of sympathy for the last dude cause he had never committed any crimes prior to the young girl and even then he still didn't know it was unacceptable and illegal due to his mom doing terrible things to him.
@Blazing Kugelblitz What?! Although she was 14, which is a middle schooler entering high school or a freshman in high school , it isn't rape because it was" consensual?" With someone who may or may not have entered puberty ? You're kidding me right? Child manipulation, and etc. He gets no "points." What he did was common sense, something everyone knows no matter what they go through. He knew what he was doing and did it anyway. A parent could sexual assault their own child into adulthood but does the kid eventually realise what is happening is wrong ? YES! Especially as an adult A kid could have drug dealer as a parent and still know it's wrong, but decide to do it anyway. Living in society, topics like this do come up and I'll be really shocked if he actually didnt know it was wrong. But decided to do it anyway.
Common sense doesn't exist in non geometrical and visualized thoughts. If it's not a very special occasion, one where everyone have the same visualization and the same arguments about something. But I can also add that it was a mutual agreement.
Nick M no you misunderstand if you think he didnt know it was illegal and unacceptable. Its more about the trauma he experienced causing him not to care. Honestly im surprised and glad he didnt commit worse after experiencing that. That shit has got to make a person feel some kinda way..
Tay M buddy, you have no idea what it’s like to be isolated, raped and made to do things others would think is wrong when your parents... the only person that’s suppose to lead you the right way, leads you wrong. Although it’s statutory rape, it’s not like he held this 14 year old girl down and forced her to have sex. Your opinion that he somehow manipulated her to do it is speculation. It’s wrong because we grew up normal... getting raped was his normal.... get it now? 🤦♂️
@Jake from state farm as far as we know, yes they have, I agree. It's harder not to get caught now because no matter where you go you're usually on camera. I wonder why there were so many during that time period

Jasmine Richardson in Medicine Hat Alberta Canada. Had her older boyfriend kill her parents and she chased her younger brother in his room and slit his throat. I went to school with the brother and I remember the memorial. Jasmine had the sweetest parents they didn’t deserve the fate. Jasmine got out and is now living a normal life. Her brother would have graduate with me in 2016
Jarod Farrant she was in a juvenile and served only a 10 year sentence because she was 12 when she killed her parents. The Canadian system isn't that great....
I just can't understand how can serial killers's children can grow up so traumatized by their mom/dad's crimes while corrupt politicians, war criminals even genocides's children are cheered and proud of them, never even glaring at them, in this case, Bush's, Putin's, Al Assad's, Trump's, Xi Jinping, Hugo Chavez's, Bolsonaro's, Clinton's. I understand that they couldn't do anything while being kids, but once they became older and learn the whole truth, they're still so close in touch with their evil parents when they could of leave them forever. So far the only one to barely stand up to them for their crimes is former Prince Harry, who officially divorced from the royal family to start a normal family alongside his wife and child.
This video is weirdly optimistic, hearing how so many were able to end up okay despite such horrible circumstances. Even the one accused of raping a 14 year old at least owned up to his mistake and is seeking psychotherapy. It kinda restores my faith in humanity a little bit.
Earlier today, I watched a video from 7 years ago about how ADD with other psychopathic behaviors can lead to a lack of empathy combined with a tendency to get bored, and mesh with other problems that lead to a very uncomfortable personality. One child featured was a terror, while his sister was clearly not, and I am grateful that this research is being done in time to help him before his age reaches double digits. This, combined with the info in this video, leads me to think that genetics and environment play separate roles in the psyche of killers, and while they can influence each other in various ways, it's a very complex interaction. I am not in the categories that were talked about in "The Dangerous Few (Psychopath Documentary)". It's outdated material and I know there has been subsequent research, but as I watched the video I saw parallels with both myself and my brother. We both have a supremely loving background and tons of success within the family, and our sister is a success in her own right with a wonderful family of her own, but our individual mental conditions, combined with other triggering factors, has led to both of us being dangerous under particular circumstances. We are fortunate to have discovered this early enough in life, and to have the resources to get the help we need. Neither of us is serial killer material, but we both present question marks, and I'm glad this kind of research is being done. Thank you for doing your part!
As far as I remember, she was conceived while her father was in jail. Therefore her mother was also twisted, if in a different way. Fingers crossed that she turned out okay.

I have sympathy for all of them. This young man had little understanding of life. No support or instruction that most people receive. He found someone who showed him love & affection. He didn't force himself. He did the right thing & sought help. I congratulate him in surviving that, especially without becoming evil.

Boozer you’re right. But the guy was barely in my life, but the moment he started coming into my life he started murdering. I do have a father figure so I’m just fine.
The only thing that makes this feel unserious for me is that you put ‘lol’ on the end. Dad is serving lifetime in prison, lol. Ok, maybe you don’t want to be seen as overly serious but your father is one of the two people who were involved in making you alive and where you are today. If you really hate him, well I guess you have that. Otherwise, a close family member having be away from you shouldn’t be a laughing matter.

Even in America the States have different laws and punishments for certain charges.
If I found out my parents were serial killers, not only would I be afraid to sleep at night, but my heart would be shattered into a billion pieces.

You misunderstood the 2nd one. Andrei Chikatilo was the serial killer. He had a son named Yuri Chikatilo.
Imagine if the serial's killer son /daughter becomes a detective to tract and capture their parents. That would be a epic story.
YES! Especially as an adult
A kid could have drug dealer as a parent and still know it's wrong, but decide to do it anyway.
Steven Assanti OMG STEVEN ASSANTI... I heard you have a wife now lmao
It’s wrong because we grew up normal... getting raped was his normal.... get it now? 🤦♂️
Seemed like the 80-90's had a lot of notorious serial killers
Hopefully we won't be looking back in twenty years saying the same thing about now...
@Jake from state farm as far as we know, yes they have, I agree. It's harder not to get caught now because no matter where you go you're usually on camera. Who knows, could have even been something in the water back then, lead toxicity, or something of the sorts. Or maybe it was due to how the children of that generation were raised. I wonder why there were so many during that time period

My heart absolutely breaks for the kids of serial killers i just can not comprehend finding out my dad killed people. I’d be broken for life

I actually do feel for the guy at the end of this video. People just need to understand, that everyone is individual and unique. A little sympathy goes a long way in showing each one that we are who we wanna be, not what life before us intends us to be. As a victim of childhood rape, I should know. I really could go on about this story, but I am not gonna. My point is, sympathy goes a long way. And this guy "You are NOT your father" LOL, but seriously,.....
Thanks for sharing your story! Stay 💪!
Lol what? This kid knew exactly what he was doing/seeing. It doesn't take rocket science to learn simple moral standards. U don't really need someone to tell u that killing someone is bad. Like da fuq? I raped a woman n got her pregnant cus I witnessed murder. Makes sense right? I'm serious. Just think about it for a full to minutes. What if that was ur sister or mom. Hard to be sympathetic now huh? But makes sense fair enough give the kid a break for what he did with his dad -_-he is only an adult at this point of life
420 Blazeit you don’t really know me. And yes, my sister has been through something similar to that as well, but I don’t hold a grudge, because it’s not healthy to cling to the past sins of others; especially when I’m a sinner myself. I’m not going into details about what actually happened to me and my sister, but the sooner we get past it, the sooner we actually live our lives knowing what freedom really means. Make any argument you want, but you can’t say you are any better than anyone else; as you and no one else is a “holier than thou” entity. Any counteragrument you have to that will just come from a place of pride, just proving you are indeed, a sinner; and no, I’m also not any better either.

The only thing that makes this feel unserious for me is that you put ‘lol’ on the end. Dad is serving lifetime in prison, lol. Ok, maybe you don’t want to be seen as overly serious but your father is one of the two people who were involved in making you alive and where you are today.
