I own the core game set and believe it is crying out for engaging scenarios and missions. Overall this is a very small-scale skirmish game and if gameplay is merely 2 judges shooting at 7 baddies it will get old fairly quickly, I am sorry to say. However, missions that take advantage of the unique characters could make this game shine. I'll be curious where it goes.

Just wanted to clarify two things, with the long range stat is that the maximum range that can be used or anything over that range is at a negative? Eg. Pistol has short range of 8" and long range of 16" does this mean that 1"-8" would result in +1 die to hit and 9"-15" would be no modifier and anything 16" and over would be at -1 to hit?
Also when calculating hits in the video it sounds as if the to hit roll is used to calculate damage. From the rulebook I was under the impression that if the hit roll succeeded and the dodge roll failed you then compare the attackers power roll against the defenders resist roll and the damage is calculated from uncancelled hit results there?
Clarification would be really appreciated 😊 loving the game so far.

Hi there! glad you are enjoying the game, a weapons long range is the maximum range it can shoot. So the long-range will be between 9"-16" (with -1 modifier) in your pistol example.. therefore if the pistol is past 16" would be out of range and cannot hit the desired target.
you are also correct in your reference to uncancelled hit results, sorry for any misinformation, but we hope that clears it up a bit!

@@warlordgames we were similarly confused about the damage roll. One model fired and caused 4 hits, none of which were cancelled by the target's evade roll. So do we then do 4 separate sets of power rolls, each set being opposed by it's own set of resist rolls. Or do the 4 hits get added to the damage stat of the weapons, with one set of resist dice being rolled to try to negate.

@@garethjones9957 Always a bit tricky to describe over here so if this doesn't word our right please email info@warlordgames.com and we can explain in more depth, but the sequence would be rolling to hit which all you need is to score a hit to pass through, then give the enemy the chance to dodge (if they can) then roll combat dice based on the weapons power ( including any modifications etc), count how many score, enemy rolls their armour amount in combat dice (based on resist)count how many armour symbols are scored, if any fail that will be how much "damage" has been taken to the enemy. Hope that helps, again, get in touch if not :)
