I think for the consumer that has had very little experience or exposure to AI since early last year, this would be incredibly impressive and even mind blowing. They definitely feel like the target audience here. I was a lot more impressed by the pixel 8 launch and execution of that, which made me CONSIDER actually upgrading from the pixel 2 XL (yes, insane I know.) Sure, I could still see myself upgrading to the pixel 9/XL (glad you brought the XL name back btw), but it almost has me just wanting to wait until the pixel 10 (or might I say, "X"? 😏 XL) Anyway, this whole presentation felt very "blah" and even rushed to the point where it didn't feel intimate enough with the audience, even the audience in person. A lot of information was just vomited out at once without any time for the audience to think about, reflect, process, or just respond at all. I'll say, that really made all of the "high points" that Google probably thought were a big deal, seem lackluster and boring by the way they were expressed and communicated to the audience. Of course all of this doesn't help when leaks are constant leading up to a Google event. Get this under control and things might be a lot more exciting the day of. These are some pretty passionate thoughts coming from me and I usually don't comment much, so I hope it's seen and actually taken for constructive criticism that could help in the next launch. I mean it's Pixel X for goodness sake... Please let it be done the best it's ever been.
The way that presenter handle the AI hiccup was great, very quiet and public aware, also didn't bring the feature down with any negative remark. Great demos ahead for him!
@@joan38 I guess you are exagerating a little bit, nothing is too much. Good job team Google for being the first phone manufacturer to have the big and small Pro models with the same hardware and software apart from screen size. Is anyone else shocked that Google used Samsung S24 Ultras for their initial Gemini demo? I also wonder if those are their own personal phones which would be even more telling.
No, at MWC they made also use of Samsung phones to show the newest Android functions. They know that the performance of their devices is not top class.
I'm glad the pro is the same as the xl, much better for people with small hands. My reason for not buying is now just the price. Guess I may buy the 9a whenever it launches
I sure hope Google is putting in a lot of money and time to improve Gemini. It has insane potential, but it's still not as strong as other leading AI, and I feel like that's because it was initially rushed.

The "Add Me" feature is pretty cool. Interesting stuff overall but I won't use Gemini because of their AI art generator DEI filters. Get woke go broke.
Can we say "Hey Germini" to use the Gemini AI now.? (I prefer saying "Hey Google" to start the Germini AI instead)... Of all the features they have been talking about since, I feel that is the main reason why many people are yet to switch to Germini and it wasn't addressed. The voice command feature allows me use the AI when I can't touch my phone or my phone is out of my reach but I can speak to it through my Bluetooth headphone.
Guys don't get trapped in this one. My Pixel 8 Pro has everything that I need. Plus im preey sure that ina couple of months we will get the same AI that the 9 series has. Google always do that with their Features Drops. So relax and enjoy your day
Trapped? No one will be trapped. The majority of consumers upgrade every 3 years to the newest device. A lot of 6/Pro/A users will upgrade this year because it's time. Personally, these phones look wayy better than the 8 series, and the satellite service is a must for hunters in the woods.
@@OhImKiCkiN The majority of consumers which are teenagers and Young people, change their phones every year. @@keyboard5494 I'm sure the 11 will be better than the 10. I'm also sure the 14 will be better than the 12. Of course each year is better than the last. If you think that way then youll always wait and never buy a phone. From the Pixel 7 to the 8 there was barely any change made. At least this year there were more significant changes.
@@OhImKiCkiN You, don't get it. Apart from the design, the Pixel 9 series is not significantly better than the Pixel 8 series, which is why the new purchase and the associated price increase are not justified. You have to somehow hallucinate the alleged significant changes. With the Pixel 10, there is a chance that there will perhaps be a significant improvement because the manufacturer will be changed and the Tensor SoC will really receive a significant new development. The Pixel 9 series is once again just a very minor upgrade, that is completely overpriced.
I'll wait for the pixel 10, this is more of a feature update than anything else. As long as I can get everything on my 8 pro I'll be happy. I feel like it would be silly to exclude something as simple as "pixel screenshots" just because there is a new phone. seems to void the claim of 7 years of updates if they don't give us the newest features (That they can. I understand not getting satellite so stuff.)
It's all pretty cool. But I'd like know if I can ensure the data in my phone isn't going to cloud, unless I explicitly allow it (each time) 👀 So much AI, and now built in to system. A bit scary tbh
I'd recommend learning to root a phone if you care about privacy. It's dangerous doing it on a new phone since you might brick something new and expensive, but if you have a current old phone, rooting it would allow you to have something like a pixel phone that runs samsung ui, and other things you could tinker similar to how you would with windows os.
