Sunset's Backstage Pass is a great special, especially compared to Spring Breakdown. I wouldn't say it's quite as good as Forgotten Friendship, but I'd still consider it my second-favorite EqG special overall. Considering Holidays Unwrapped can barely even be considered a real special since it consists of six different vignettes, I see Sunset's Backstage Pass as the true Equestria Girls finale, and as such, it was a pretty good send-off! Looking forward to your next reactions, as always. 😄
Knowing here that this was the penultimate special, with what you say about Holidays Unwrapped, maybe this special could have been a suitable finale to the spin-off. It’s decent enough to make a lasting impression. 💖
@@FaolanCortez I still think you should at least give holidays unrwapped a watch since it's still enjoyable. Heck you could even go back and watch all the shorts and choose your ending shorts just for fun and some of them have good jokes and a few fanservice moments. That's optional if you want, I was just suggesting it in case you run out of things to react to. If I were you I'd at least watch a first couple of the shorts then decide if I were to continue them or not, that's all
I love the Dazzlings in this special because it's a refreshing change from what we usually see with villains in MLP. Every other villain has either been completely unredeemably evil to the end, like Tirek and Chrysalis, or did a complete 180 and became a hero, like Starlight and Sunset. This special shows that the Dazzlings did neither. They recognized their mistakes from Rainbow Rocks, but that didn't really make them better, it just returned them to the life of ennui they were living in the Rainbow Rocks intro. I just find it intriguing, and quite frankly, a bit more realistic
The deja vu trope has been done to death, but it’s still one of my favourites! I also love the closure we received regarding The Dazzlings, their new music is gorgeous and it is lovely that they had found a new style! 🤍
This special is a MUCH BETTER than the load of irritation known as Spring Breakdown. The Dazzlings returning was fun, True Original is catchy, and the time traveling concept was great overall.
Except they almost made Sunset irritating also but guess they learned from their mistakes with the last one and managed to redeem her actions at the end and did it much better than with Rainbow Dash!
I’m glad this special was an improvement on Spring Breakdown. Only a few bit of annoyance but it kept growing on me with every character and piece of the story. 🥰
@@FaolanCortez I just want to point out, you did miss one special: Rollercoaster of Friendship. And there's also the Magic Trilogy (Dance Magic, Movie Magic and Mirror Magic)
That would have been an intriguing storyline to explore if the Time Twirler was used in the pony world. Twilight and Starlight would definitely be a good casting for that kind of episode. 🤩
This was a fun special, while it is disappointing that we didn't see much of the Dazzlings since Rainbow Rocks and we could've seen more of them, plus the moment they started mentioning about Post Crush from the beginning I knew they would reveale them to be the villains of this special, and also I'm honestly surprised that Pinkie wasn't as obnoxious in this special as she usually was in the series but the dynamic between her and Sunset was kinda nice, overall I'm gonna give Sunset's Backstage Pass an A this was definitely a great send off to EQG.
