I used to listen to this a teen, late hours listening to extreme praise 106.5 working on my homework. Grew up and drifted so far from God but tried to keep a relationship. Years passed like this until this uear God called me back and aod he wanted all of me once and for all. It truly changed me. I know I am absolutely the key to getting my family to come back to Christ. God is too good!! He is always merciful and loving.
I use to play this song every night after work walking home when I was a teenager. I’m now 32 with kids and I fell off gods path for me. I prayed for the first time in what feels like ages and I felt peaceful and a tranquility that only the lord could grace me with. It’s like the fog has lifted and I feel alive again.
"A whisper to walk on, "come on from all that" " ...God used this song in my darkest days to help me find him. Thank you Mat Kearney for your example and for using your artistic gift to share your story and bless others. Thank you Lord Jesus for pulling me through.
So true. This song literally just popped into my head all of a sudden. It brings my thoughts and heart straight to Jesus. Thank God for The Truth. Thank you Jesus. Thank you for The Cross.
This guy is super awesome. He came to my church one day and sang this song. It's even better in person. Every time I hear this song, I think of the church that I can't go to anymore because it's so far away, and it's like my prayer to find a new one that is just as passionate about God as my previous one. :)
i was about 7 years old when i heard this song i was having brain surgery in the hospital with a very slim chance of survival and i remember my dad giving me an iPod and all i did was listen to this before surgery started. i'm 17 next month and just found this song again i'm amazed how far my life has come i have a gorgeous girlfriend and i'm in training to become a paramedic when the doctors told me i would be a vegetable or die look at me now :D
I didn't mean any distepect. Just wanted you to see the blessing beyond you beating the brain tumor. And thank you for the post. I love seeing God's hand work in a world with so much problems. Thank you
The coolest 2000s crooner from Oregon. Mat the rapper at his best in this one. He is one of the best singer/songwriters of this generation. He has too much heart and soul to be "popular" in how the music industry views what is "popular". He has his own street cred so to speak.
I first heard of Mat Kearney when I was watching VH1 countdown with this song. Also Adele with her song Chasing Pavements, also discovered on Vh1 countdown.
I love this song back then and still now, it's very nostalgic and it takes me back to my high school years in the early 2000s!!! Every time I listen to this song I get emotional!!! I love Mat Kearney!!!! I love to revisit music and TV shows and movies that I grew up with back in the 90s and early 2000s, cause i love them all, forever engravedin my heart, (im a 90s baby/kid and i feel old haha!)!!!

Mat K is brilliant. First heard of him as one of those free "I-Tunes" songs of the week about 8 yrs ago, fan since then. Last year he opened up for Train here in S.Fla, it was a close call on whom was best/energy. Now since in Alabama 4/2 seeing him at Iron City in Bham, and doing the eat & greet with him, have dinner with him and meet him. Highlight of 2007-2015!!!!
Im almost certain I've heard this song but i really do think that i wouldnt forget a great and powerful song such as this. Anybody else love the verses(well the chourus too, of course, but the verse in particular. I think this combo of styles really did wonders for this song. Not to mention his voice gives me shivers it's so beautiful.
Praise God!!! Don't let anyone on here mess with your head. That's wonderful news. My best friend is Gay and i'm believing that he will be set free as well!! I wish you all the best, both in your earthly life, and your spiritual walk with Jesus.

just talked to a woman that ive known for 8 years but havent been able to really know. now shes single at the same time that i am. this song has always been for her.
Great Portland, Oregon artist. Richard Provensen after seeing Kearney live turned me onto Kearney's music and this perhaps my all time favorite song. We were living Portland I was working as a TV ad writer for the Real Estate channel contracted through Martini Productions; Jeanne Provensen was painting the metropolis with realism and spirit. And Kearney was the soundtrack!
This song will always have a special place in my heart. The first man I ever loved could be Mat's twin. And this was the very first song I heard by Mat.
I don't know what year this song came out, but I remember when I first heard it in a Border's bookshop and immediately buying the cd. I remember that evening, and how much I loved this song - and still do!
All those years ago. Seeing you in a little coffee shop on Ashland. Before you had a label. Before a CD came out. I still have the demo disc you gave me. And I still love this song
I worked there for 2 yrs and heard this song all the time. I loved him before that though. I was ecstatic when I heard that they play this on Walmart radio!
Sorry; I forget to mention the head of the household and my mentor Richard Provensen who turned me onto Kearney was successfully selling Audis for his career. We attended a high-end Audi car show with awesome, slightly wild seafood gourmet snacks and I was very impressed with the engineering, comfort, and aesthetics of these automobiles. 'Undeniable' is a sacred, embattled song with a spiritual aspect.
I have been desperately searching for this song for 7 years. I first heard it on a mixtape my best friend made so I never got the name or author. At different times, when the melancholy became so strong I could feel it in the center of me it would bubble up. Longing I can't begin to translate. Words on the edge of my lips, but allways unspoken. This morning I couldn't sleep, and it all came back. Enough of the words to fill the search bar. This long held longing. It feels good to finally know
Still a good song after all this time. I like that he sings about a person believing in someone else. There is far too little of that, unfortunately, in this world. Everyone just chill and enjoy some music.
That could be. Probably is. But I guess I still like thinking maybe we have it in us to believe in another person that way. Wishful thinking, I guess. :0)
First heard this song when I was 20, I'm 30 now. Time flies, folks. I feel like they could re-release this song and have another radio hit on their hands.
I've heard it "in the background" in stores, etc. but heard it tonight with my husband, and it made me look here for it. I had no idea he's a Christian artist? I am a Christian, and I love the song "Nothing Left To Lose," so now I'm going to listen to all his songs at once :0
Love your songs Mat. keep up the great work. The album was my favorite of all time. I was such in low depth in my life and suicidal but that album keep me grinding and beat those demons. thank you.
Fact from Music Choice: Mat Kearney's strong Christian faith influences his songwriting. Mat Kearney is in fact Christian, and so are his songs. Please don't chew me out if you don't agree, but it's the truth. Also if you must chew me out, keep in mind that I'm 13 and would prefer for you not to cuss, or use any profanity when doing so.

It's undeniable how brilliant you are
In an unreliable world you shine like a star
It's unforgettable now that we've come this far
It's unmistakable that you're undeniable
February fifth, Friday morning, purple dawn
Broke a yawn as a I stepped through the fog, like I stepped to a song
A moment like a poem; you wish you could hold it
I shut my eyes like it's frozen; it's gone when I open
It slipped passed the clouds right there where it lingered
Like your band and a girl could slip through your fingers
My feet hit the ground like a beat for the lonely
On a path beaten down by the crowds in the morning
If only I could touch past the phony
If only they were there now to hold me
As the questions keep droning
You're the only one who stuck it out last night
The only other one who caught the other line
You're the only one when this world collides
The one that I can't deny
It's undeniable how brilliant you are
In an unreliable world you shine like a star
It's unforgettable now that we've come this far
It's unmistakable that you're undeniable
It's my last year here
My first class moved to portable 'A'
Under construction since summer
And it's cold today
I can see my breath and what's left of the west parking lot
And all the spaces that we fought
And it all seems forgotten, left in the bottom
In past piles of rubble in puddles of rain water
That hurt last night when I left like that
When I won't come back
Speaking my peace to the past
I can't help but wonder who is this wind at my back
A whisper to walk on come on from all that
It's undeniable how brilliant you are
In an unreliable world you shine like a star
It's unforgettable now that we've come this far
It's unmistakable that you're undeniable
How am I gonna take it away in this winter wind?
You found me on a summer breeze
How am I gonna run away when the autumn breaks
Now that you found me in the spring
Come on and sing it out
Thank you. ❤️
This song takes me back to the days when I was working at Walmart. I used to hear it on their radio every day.

This is one of the best songs I've ever listened to. I love it and it's so true.

I can't help but wonder who is this wind at my back? A whisper to walk on, Come on from all that." its like saying: Hes leaving the past in the past and the wind is Gods voice calling him to put every burdan down and come and search to know Gods own heart and plans for his life instead of focusing on the hurt and stuff.
