- In this EA Sports FIFA skills video I test a secret trick shot that is new to FIFA 23. Many people are are not aware of this shot type.
These shots are extremely powerful, and it's kinda surprising how the most powerful shots in FIFA 23 are done without using the finishing button.
- How to do Driven Trivela Pass:
PlayStation: L2 + R1 + X (the pass button)
Xbox: LT + RB + A
Switch: ZL + R + B
This is a viable method for doing high powered low driven shots in FIFA gameplay. You can always use max power when doing these pass shots.
REMEMBER: If your controlled player is not the highest player, it will pass to your team mates. But you can bypass that via settings, read more from instructions below ⬇️
- How to do these shots as LONG SHOTS?
Instructions: you need to go to controller settings from your FIFA menu.
Change GROUND PASS ASSISTANCE to Manual. Your ground passing is all manual after that, but it enables you to score these driven trivela power passes from anywhere.
I tested this in FUT 23 online gameplay matches and scored incredibly rare low-driven long shot goals. This video showcases it done with Erling Haaland, but you can do it with every player.

If you want to do these as LONG shots, you need to go to controller settings from your FIFA menu. Change GROUND PASS ASSISTANCE to Manual. After it you can do powerful low-driven trivela passes as long shots. If you do not change passing to manual, then this works only when you are 1vs1 with the keeper (otherwise it passes to your teammate).
From gameplay experimenting it seemed like the goalkeepers had big struggles in saving these shots, it's almost like they weren't coded to save passes. But these passes are rather hard to aim well, takes tons of practice on kick off matches to get it.
Oh so u have to change pass to manual ? Well then this kind of shot pretty useless right ? Or do you play online with manual passing
@@Ad1lars1 you can use the low driven trivela pass with assisted passing from 1vs1 situations (ie. on a break away). But for long shots where you have teammates below you, you really need to have manual passing on or it won't work.
You're correct it's quite useless in most cases, but it's good to know about the mechanism existing. I don't play with manual, but when I tried to play that way it felt refreshing (almost like playing a different game, through balls were amazing and more realistic).
Anyway it's interesting how hard these driven passes are for goalkeepers, I love to smash them in from 1vs1.

how u set this camera and 1v1 mode in fifa 23?
This camera is called the pro camera and you can choose it in any game mode. This 1vs1 mode is the practice arena. You'll find this from fifa home menu - play modes - quickplay modes - practice arena. You can choose any player and keeper you want to use.
do they need to be trivela?
Not necessarily, but it's useful to add the trivela modifier in some angles. Makes it more likely to beat the keeper.
Can you do this during match or will it just auto pass to teammate
Yes you can if you have Ground Pass Assistance on MANUAL. Alternatively you can do it with default Assisted passing if you do it from 1vs1 situation / break away. With assisted it will always work if you are the highest player on the pitch and there's no teammates above your player.
