why should he need to knock on a door to gain access to the property he was renting... she didn't need to change her shift to be home to let him in...she shouldn't have changed the keys -- either he should have signed saying he was moving out on the 14th and returned the keys and waived the remaining rent, or she should have accepted that he still has legal access to that property until the end of the month or until he returns his keys (which ever is sooner) Clearly the landlord had no idea she was subletting if he intended to have a relative stay and wouldnt deal with the other tenant -- and she got kicked out herself because of it.
I feel for them both. I think he was a bit too much for eating her food when they weren't even friends to begin with. But still, she was obviously violating her lease agreement that she should not sublet and she wanted to pocket the money. If you are too much of an OCD, you shouldn't have roommates.
