- Hi Folks,
Just wanted to show you guys my idea for a camera set-up for your Pelican Rigs. You can use this set-up with virtually any Mod. you do to your boat, so I think it has application to anyone wanting to film while fishing! I think I may have about $250.00 in the entire set-up, to include the camera! I went with the Go-Pro 7, just because of the "voice" activation & stabilization features. But, just about any sports camera will work! I bought everything I needed for this project on ebay or Amazon so I could price shop all components. As always I appreciate your views & input. I believe if we all put our heads together, there's no mod. we can't come up with to customize our boats!
I just learned about these Bass Raider boats and have decided to buy one! It's the perfect set-up for just me!.. I'm so tired of dealing with the old aluminum boat and all the headache that comes with it. You've got a real sweet set-up there, you're giving me GOALS, lol! New sub here! Take care, -PJ

Thanks for the sub.! Be sure to seal the upper & lower seams of the rubrail with clear silicone before you even do anything else with it! Good luck & I look forward to seeing it on the tube!
If you decide to purchase new, Bass Pro Shops was the around $705. out the door!

@@jimgreene8458 Yep, I'm looking at new. I'm in Minnesota and Cabela's said they will deliver it right to the RV Resort I'm in! I'm super excited about this! Just sold my boat yesterday and am putting my little trolling motor on this when it arrives!! Thank you for your help and suggestions. I might get back to you on the silicone... Might be a lot to ask, but you said you put no holes in the boat and that sounds amazing. But could you show us you taking off all the boards to get a better idea on how you built it and see how you did the wiring? Thank you and awesome boat!!

Yea, I really can't remove the decking without also disconnecting all the wiring as well, as I incorporated everything to fit as a system. But, I can tell you that I ran positive and negative wires ( size #14 wire)from the transom, under the flooring all the way to the bow to carry current from my switch panel to a mini bus bar located under the forward casting deck, which controls all lights and electronics. I also installed a resettable 60 AMP circuit breaker between the batteries and all components, so I can isolate the batteries while charging. Hope this helps!

I honestly can't remember exactly, I've since sold the little boat...
I have the go pro hero 7 also and I’ve been looking for something to mount it on my bass raider and Kayak also. Thanks that’s a good set up how much was the the set up total not including the go pro of course lol.
