- Today, we are going to show you how to make a great scrap buster for Curves Bootcamp called Drunkards path but done with hand sewing. You can also use string or crumb blocks if you wish for a different look.

Fourth years ago, I signed up for a high school quilting program and I picked out the drunkards path pattern for my first quilt, teachers when on strike, so on my own. I hand pieced 80%, then packed it away. I retired in 2018, pulled the quilt top out finished it by machine. There are lots of less then perfect blocks, and the colours back then were solid beige, peach and brown. All that said it’s my first and I now use it all the time. Thanks for sharing, I may someday do another in a more modern version. 👍❤️😊

For thread conditioner--I've always just kept a lump of beeswax in my pocket, so it's warm and easy to use.
Hi Deborah! I love your idea about keeping the bees wax in your pocket. I love bees wax for a thread conditioner but I also like a slick conditioner so I'm trying to perfect a cheap thread conditioner that is easy to make at home. I used to hand baste my curved seams, before I machine sewed them. Sleeves in shirts, blouses, and dresses were a big deal to me. Your way is the correct way.

Finally I have come back to my sewing, so it was really nice to watch your tutorial. I am a seam drawer, but I only mark the seam on one side so there’s no flipping back and forth.
