The only one who can keep up is AwesomeActionToys! Yeah, one thing I'm finding is I'm not giving enough attention to awesome figures, as it's always about the next new thing. I'm having to pack some stuff away and selling off other things to make space as well
Yeah I thought of AAT as well for the one that can keep up. He is also stationed in China, so he probably getting the figures a little bit cheaper with no/slight shipping fees. Plus, I think he is richer than most of us cause he is being paid via overseas rate lol!
Fear of Missing Out is how toy companies keep us on the hook for preorders and panic buying. I've got too many figures from BBTS that I preordered as I felt I'd never get them any other way and when they arrived I never opened them. I realized I was scared I'd miss out on something but wasn't thinking that if I do miss out on most it's ok. I'm from the era where we bought everything in the store and had time to plan our purchases. Hell, most Joes were available for two years and you could army build all you wanted and take advantage of store sales, markdowns, etc. Now, it seems if you don't preorder you miss out forever. And, honestly, that's ok.
You're absolutely right. I just had to stand back and tell myself, it's OK not to have something. I've got so much as it is, I really don't need to panic about other things. My BBTS pre-orders were a bit crazy too. I've trimmed it down quite a bit. I'll probably get it to zero soon. Ah, I miss going into bricks and mortar stores. Not many that sell cool toys in the UK anymore...
There's something to be said about FOMO (ok, I can't believe i actually typed that, my lady would be so happy) that most people I deal with simply can't understand. If you are willing to wait a few days or so, most of the items will be available at retail, unless you are looking at exclusives and I can't help you there. I had so many of the Classified Series on pre-order it was ridiculous. I ended up finding almost all of them at retail and actually cheaper than the pre-ordered ones. Needless to say, I cancelled my pre-order and won't be going that route again.
Lol the reluctance of typing FOMO. I'm with you there! I got to a point where I was just spending so much on things that weren't out yet with nothing to show for it. Now it definitely feels like i have more control of things
Yeah, I feel the same. The idea of it is great, you get to secure the figure you want. But when that's so many awesome figures it becomes a bit of a problem. I've got terrible self-control...
I almost ONLY pre-order these days. It's the only way to get what I want without a huge hassle of hunting around to never find what I want at a reasonable price, if I didn't I'd rarely find anything I want besides eBay.
I’ve loved the JoyToy Warhammer line- but they’re putting out figures so quickly that I can’t keep up I don’t think we are meant to- no way to collect all the game pieces - so now I just focus on specific chapters or squads. Then maybe pick up the odd “amazing” figure on the side
Great video. That Chaos guy at the end could be a Mandalorian god... lol. I was blown away by the E-11a Junkheap version as well, the clear plastic over the mechanical detail looks amazing. The arm lift for Anubis was disappointing but when I compared it to Hiro and Void, they had about the same limitation. I hope the plastic trays are not the packaging direction Toys Alliance is going with for Acid Rain World going forward. It would be a shame not to get those crates anymore (even though I've complained in the past that they may be driving up the price). I do still preorder but as a very focused collector of these higher end lines there isn't as much for me to keep up with.
Hahaha yeah, the Chaos Lord definitely looks the part. E-11a junkheap was a nice surprise. Really well thought out design. Yeah, the lateral arm raise for Anubis isn't that bad, I just wish my arm didn't pop out. I think we'll still get crates for ARW but they may change that for Annex. I have to keep my usual preorder behaviour in check!
The E-11a hands though...huge and very distracting. Great figure but lack of accessories, weird gap on back with even slight posing. Glad I got it but has issues. Lazarus total standout though, lots of shelf presence.
Hahaha yeah E-11a hands are freakishly large. Yeah, agreed, glad I got the figure but it's not without its problems. Lazarus is pretty cool, the soft plastic used for the front is the best Joytoy have done
I'm in the camp of there is too much out there, especially in the output by Joy Toy. I don't feel the need to preorder Joy Toy products as much, because there are many for distributors for their products. I still preorder the Toy Alliance products I really want. I miss your Skellyverse videos every time you show a group of figures from different lines.
Joytoy definitely has too much to keep up with. I'll probably still order the odd toys alliance figure. I've been lucky enough to be able to still get the recent ones after release. Ah cheers man, I hope to do more Skellyverse stuff at some point!
As far as Acid Rain figures go, if you don't preorder some of them, you won't get them. There are a number of preorders at PIA that are already sold out. I hate to tie up hundreds of dollars in figures that won't be in my hands for months, but it appears the only way to get many of the Acid Rain figs is to bite the bullet and preorder. I almost guarantee the three newest figs they just put on preorder, which don't release until August, will be sold out well before release date. And dammit, Toys Alliance, restock some of the popular figs which you know will sell out again(Gheist).
Yeah, I noticed pia-club hadn't got a pre-order window now as well. After that date is when the pre-order window closes and they mark as sold out. I'll just wait for extra stock, unless I really really want the figure, then I'll pre-order
Great vid Skelly. I picked up Shrike and the Chaos Lord. Love them both. The Chaos Lord really sparks my imagination. I have him as kind of a battle mage. The girlfriend says he looks like a total badass.

Hey Skelly, if you're looking to sell those two war of order figures maybe we can work something out. I got late to that party but I managed to pick up the first five plus the dog from that series. Last I heard war of order devil toys were just making 1/6 and 1/12 scale stuff which is a disappointment. Kinda through with pre-orders, WAAAY TOO MUCH to keep up with.

Ali express has a bad returns policy, i had items not delivered from a bulk shipment, but because they had prove of something being delivered they wouldn’t refund me. I avoid ali express where possible

Basically the seller, simply didn't include all the items I ordered, and the overall shipping was packaged together with a seperate seller order before it left the country. I had to reorder the item in the end (mr meeseeks lapel pin - I plan to use as a badge for a custom BMX I am going to build), if it was a $50 figure though I would have been a bit more disgruntled.
Nice, showcase. I stopped dealing with aliexpress after I was ripped of by a seller and it took two years to get a refund. As far as preorders. I still preorder because when I didn’t, I missed out on figures that I couldn’t find or sell for over inflated prices on eBay. Now I’m forced to slow down after losing my job.
Someone else commented they had a really bad experience with Ali too. I'll just stick to the reliable sellers on there. Yeah, it's just a shame that we're forced to preorder to avoid scalpers. Sorry to hear that mete, hope you can find something else soon!

Paint apps are great! Compared to the other Crimson Slaughter figures there's a slight difference, but not as bad as we've seen with the Ultramarines or Blood Angels. Worth getting if you've got the other Crimson Slaughter figures. Planning on doing a vid of all of them, but not sure as to when it goes on the channel lol
