It's very handmaids tale, to make another woman birth a child for you. I understand if your physical health is at risk and you want a family, but surrogacy for vanity reasons feels so wrong.

Pregnancy and birth is insane and a really intense thing to go through and you do it out of love you feel them grow and have a lot of responsibility to grow them aha buying a baby is going to not feel the same
People also have to remember that right before this baby was born she found out that Tristan was cheating on her and so she said, in a later interview that was a significant reason why she felt so disconnected and sad

Its unnatural for another woman to grow someone elses baby. Its like renting out that womans womb, to do the work the woman should do herself. Its really a modern concubine, but its worse because the baby the concubine is having isn't even their own genetically. And instead of living with and being part of the family, the concubine gets paid for their service and goes on with life. Its like almost like prostitution too. Its really wrong. Normal concubines are wrong too, but this modern version is horrifying.
