8:21 Hough stays "You look tense. Are you feeling a little...?"
Jeffrey in his mind is thinking: "ummmm..Mr. Hough....I'm playing in front of Stephen friggin Hough! Of course, I'm tense and nervous! Not exactly a state of mind conducive to playing with a feathery light touch."

I am not a philosopher but it is amazing how timing and pressing of the same keys can become sheer emotional beauty and genius or just superficial but brilliant playing.

15 years old? Seriously? 🤯 Truly outstanding performance of this beautiful composition, by such a young pianist ❤ I'm 41 and I could only dream to be able to play this beautiful. Actually I can't even do that, whenever I dream of me playing the piano, I always dream that I forget everything I know on the piano and am unable to perform 😱😂🤣

I think Debussy is one of the most difficult composer to play. Modern pianos are a "curse" because we have more resources for different sounds than in the beginning of the XX century... soooo difficult to bring it out...

The sound of the recording? The piano? The playing? Stephen's voice?
