This is the latest recorded track I have seen of the late, great Jim Cullum, a superb jazz cornettist, bandleader and gentleman. He is in the finest of company, too!
Music when not describing tragedy HAS to be fun. These guys ( and Chloe) are fun.
The band is well balanced with great soloists. Piano sounds sweet throughout.
It can’t get better than this ...!
WOW, Cleo's at it again!!! Soooooo good!
Chloe nails it 100 %
Instrumentalists can make the best singers!
I love the duet between Chloe and Jim Cullum.
The whole band is awesome! Swings like the clappers.
First time I saw this with Chloe. That has to be Jim Cullum from Riverwalk Jazz. Their whole archive can be found on the net. Chloe's band is the Shake Em Up Jazz Band and they have played out at the Bix Biederbeck Festival in Wisconsin-- available on You Tube.
I love the opening to those old Riverwalk Jazz shows: "On the banks of the San Antonio River, across the alley from Alamo, deep in the heart of Texas." Thanks for the Up.
Great musical jazz ensemble. I Great musicians.
Love how they comp.

1) I'd like to hear the audio mixed a little better. It likely doesn't demonstrate the singer's voice with the setup seen/heard here. She has to "oversing". That's when the singer has to either shout or come out of timing to hear themselves. Which leads to my 2nd point.
2) The vocalist starts the song using every vocal ornament possible. There is no place where she sings any straight 8ths or melodic phrases true to the original melody. When singing anything, especially a standard, it's imperative to demonstrate in the first verse that you have the melody under control. The listener needs to be "reminded" of the melody. And the listener needs to be convinced that the singer knows the melody. Put the ornaments in subsequent verses. Use them sparingly to demonstrate you are able to rearrange and/or re-harmonize the true melody.
The trombone and clarinet just noodle on the ensemble. Really good musicians make music that is greater than the sum of their parts. It was "nice" but his didn't make my hair stand on end.
Chloe could take the place of Phil Silvers with Tuba Skinny!!
Phil Silvers could play, as I bet you know. I can't remember what, but it might have been clarinet.
But Chloe has played with all the best bands in the land, I think I've seen her with Tuba Skinny.

Pas le Tuba Skinny complet , la seule vidéo que je connaisse ... avec Chloe
@@lioneldarde1851 yes, my mistake, I remember that one now. I've been away listening to the Ronettes, Crystals, Seekers and Shangri-Las, but I'll be back soon!
Vocalist has no power. Smoker ?
Bad audio mixing and a light voice, if she smoked then you would definitely hear it.
