I just got the A54 a week ago. Super happy with the phone. Does all I need at a great price point and Samsung tech support. Don't game on it so don't need a better processor.
where r u from bro? i mean which country?
what is the price of the phone in Malaysia (8/128gb)
Man, you do an excellent job in your reviews/videos - your visual presence and vocal qualities are top notch and you cover every valid point and emphasize those "little things" that many other reviewers omit due to them being (what I refer to them as) "flagship snobs"! I just subscribed to your channel and will be tuning in to many more of your videos! The only point I would debate you on is your Pixel 6 (or any of Google's Pixel phones) reference.........Pixel's cameras are way above Samsung's and their software is still one of the best there is in any smartphone!
OK I'm confused bc I live in the US and samsung on there website is only offering the 128 gb for 450 unlock or other carries. Where are ppl getting the 256 varient from???
Is there any new and decent phones with a screen smaller than 6 inch??
My question is do you think this is a decent replacement if I’m coming from a iPhone XR, I know the iOS is different I’m referring to lag and processor use in real time
I just got mine today! This phone does everything I need... I'm loving it.
@@WEEB-jb5zr nah no issues at all.. it's a great phone. Loving it and no it doesn't heat up...
@@PrakashTheMeitei some of these reviews are not mentioning an important thing about this phone! It's the battery!!! It lasts you 2 days! I repeat 2 days!!! If you are a heavy gamer then maybe a day n lil more...but without gaming, its battery power is solid!!!
This phone is similar to my a52 with a better camera, just a budget S23 without dex great review
Love your review brother 👍 Getting mines today. Can you drop a link for your home screen wallpaper I want it 😁
Might be a dumb question, but does anyone know what that wallpaper is? I love it.
The fact that Samsung add sd slot here but removes them from flagships is the dumbest move ever
Flagships usually come with 256 GB of storage or 512 you really don't need them That's a mid-range feature we got to have some exclusive features as well lol
Thanks for the video, Kevin. I just bought this phone last week . I like it a lot, but I found some flaws in it, like group messaging. don't want to work properly I can send group messages but I won't receive any messages at all I was wondering if you have ever heard of this before maybe with other Android or I will appreciate some insight if willing Thanks man love the video great presentation good voice manner as well
Nice but, Should I get this or the S21 FE at same price? Do the processer or main cam on that phone offer more enough to justify buying it?
I'd get a54 5g because I prefer battery life and I don't play games. But if you play graphic intensive games or need wireless charging or dex and don't mind charging your phone during your day, then I'd say get the s21 fe
True. GSM Arena was told that side is plastic and they correct that back is plastic and change to Gorilla glass 5 , i checked on Samsung customer support and they confirm that side is aluminum and back is also gorilla glass 5. Also it support Dolby Atmos . Also you can in option make to if you have charger pugged in you can bypass battery and charger just use to powerup phone and don't use battery while charger and this option is on.
Trank you, great video
Sick phone i saw it in store today
I bought a Samsung A53 5G on Amazon Prime day last year for £249. Despite reviewers not liking it my A53 is an almost perfect phone. The only downside is a slightly slower CPU than Chinese phones at the same price point. Now with the A54 the CPU is 40% faster which makes the A54 a perfect phone. I get 5 years of security updates with means that the cost per year of a Samsung A53 or A54 phone is much less than any Chinese phone because no Chinese phone gets more than 2 years of security updates.
I'm still rocking a Samsung galaxy note 10+ is this phone worthy of a upgrade only reason because it has micro SD card which there flagship phone hasn't got
Your note 10+ is miles better than this phone. Sure the A54 has got the 120hz screen. But apart from that, your Note 10+ will run apps faster, better camera, better chip. As for the battery, you can send your note 10+ in for a replacement and it'll outlast the A54 any day. I know because I used to have a Note 10+ and upgraded to the S22 specifically for the smaller screen because I was tired of the big screen phones.
Epic I've it already just ❤
Wallpaper link
1:12 what game is he playing?
Righteous review
Hvala ti :D
Coming from an a50s up to A52s (I skipped the A53), what I don't like about the A54 is the exaggerated curves of the screen corners and the glass back. I don't use cases but I do use pouches so now instead of just putting a screen protector, I had to put a back protector as well.
Great video, by the way. Well put and structured. Two thumbs up! 😊
@@C.Torres.Rthe back is glass. You don't need to use your teeth to test that it's glass
@@JTManuel try to more research on the internet, samsung is using a material that looks like glass but is not glass
@@C.Torres.R I've got one and it's glass. Comparing it to glasstic (the one you're talking about) and it feels and looks different. Internet research also tells it's gorilla glass 5 on the front and back.
@@C.Torres.R i'm a bit late but it's gorilla glass 5 front and back. plastic is on sides.
Would you get one of these or the S20 FE if you had the choice? They cost the same price from my provider.
I'm currently using the S20FE and from what I've seen online it's not much of an upgrade from the S20FE. The camera is a lil better. Upgraded software. The battery is a tad bit better. But it's not a huge upgrade from the S20FE. That being said if you're looking to get one or the other then it's probably better to go with an A54 because it's newer. But if you're someone like me who already owns the S20FE then it's not much of an upgrade from what you already have. Me personally I'm staying with the S20FE until maybe the Pixel 8 pro comes out. The leaks on the Pixel 8 look nice.
@@rmlewis6212 Cheers! Yh, I've decided I will get the A54. My old phone is an A6, which is crap. Didn't answer calls most of the time. I should've upgraded ages ago. I'm totally new to phones though, and wasn't aware I could upgrade, and didn't really care about it. Only doing it now cuz I'm near out of space on that phone. There is this deal where I get free ear buds with it for the same price. Think I'll do that one.
@@PEGGLORE A5 user here hahaha
Mine still works good but its rly old so im thinking about buying A54 and hope ill not make mistake
@@imtrusfatedami Well I ordered the A54 with free ear buds which arrives on Monday, so am stuck with it now. You may as well do the same then, so I'm not alone with this.
Got this phone. Love the specs. Sadly there's an overheating issue
Day 3. Great phone.
Replaced my S10+ with it.. and it is better.. so 2023 budget phone > 2019 flagship. Didn't expect much but Exynos is more snappy than Snapdragon from that gen.. even geekbench says the same.
How significant of an upgrade is it for you? I still use my 2018 flagship S9+ so pretty similiar. Does it take as long to charge it as the s10 did?
In the Philippines, it's $490. Sad. We always have expensive phone.
Portland, JAMAICA in the Building!!!
nice
Got it for 50 bucks so that's a win. Coming from an iphone 13 pro I will say the bigger screen is better as well as the speakers in my opinion. I use my phone for normal tasks like social media, youtube and texting. I don't game so that's not an issue. I ditched ATT and went to Metro. Sold my iphone for 800 bucks no regrets.
I have the a54 and it's a great phone but why did u sell your iphone 13 pro🤔🤔
Wow nice
Thanks man for doing this video. I was waiting for more U.S. youtubers to do videos on this phone along with the a34. If you happen to do the a34 video in the future, please highlight the New always on display. Because I heard they added it this year. But thanks again. I'm excited about buying this phone.
I want this phone it seems like it is comparable to s8
My fiance has the phone, it runs great so much better than the a53. The only negative is how much bigger and heavier it is than last years a53, bad choice on Samsungs part.
I Love my Samsung Galaxy A54 5g" May Update made it even better "
My next Samsung purchase will be Galaxy Tab S9 ultra when it gets released' Anxious'
You cannot upgrade to 256gb! Only 128 gb is available
I would prefer 6a over this..
Or wait for 7a to get cheaper in a few months.
Camera is not as sharp.
With discount I think pixel 7 should be the choice.
I bought the a54 on release day and returned it 3 days later for the Google Pixel 7 and don't regret it. The a54 camera was just over saturated in comparison to Pixel.
Yeah, unless S22 is lower than 500, nor I will choose this! I love the MircroSD slot
The stabilization stinks and video recording stutters
Midrange
The phone is blazing fast on t mobile 5 g uc
For the Price, you can get a Xiaomi 12T Pro with Snapdragon 8+Gen1. 256GB storage vs 128, 120W charger in the box.
And possibly a better screen.
(I haven't tested the A54 to judge the screen) but spec vs spec the 12T pro is a day and night difference.
You are completely right, but.......man the brand support, that's some to have in mind. I mean where I live those fancy xiamis are hard to find ( the low and midrangers are everywhere) and no official support , but the Samsungs and apples are expensives but there are accessories and support for them .
@@jezaster1 I completely agree with you, but Globally and especial in Europe, Xiaomi is well established, and they offer a lot for the price.
I bought the A54, a week after launch, and I still own the device as it's payed by my company and is used for work related calls mostly, I tried to daily drive it but the performance is not fitting for my usage.
Nah, fhe xiaomi is more expensive, and in terms of screen, Samsung is better, way better. The only thing Xiaomi ahead are its chipset and fast charging. Others, samsung A54 still won ahead, including OS (ONE UI)
@@christyjeplin6852 OS is Subjective. I've been using Samsung S series since The S2 that I bought in 2012. My last S series was the 21, and I personally prefer MIUI over OneUI.
As for screen! No the A54 doesn't even Support HDR10Plus while the 12T pro Support HDR10Plus Dolby Vision and it supports wider color spectrum.
Sure you could but most people aren’t going to buy those phones. They want phones with official carrier support
Cool phone but I would rather save up and buy an S 23 series phone.
Great video, it's interesting to see a phone like this, but you can't get better bang for the buck considering that a pixel with the same specs as the high end of this phone runs for $300 more
the biggest mistake i have ever purchased smart phone this year. can't believe they still cannot fix a stutter animation and heating. I sold after using only 1 day. It get hyped by UA-camrs so i think it could be a good phone but no. Most of reviewers not even use a phone they just play a phone a short amount of time and tell their opinion which might not be reliable
Maybe you’re unit is defective. I’ve most definitely used it more than a day.
i ve been using it for 2 weeks and i am very satisfied with it, no heating issues. i disabled animations because they re useless
Side is plastic
A52s is cheaper.
Are we gonna tell the truth about these horrible exyno chips
Samsung highly promoting this trash device
The frame isn't metal, its plastic
It's a midrange smartphone with midrange chip and performance but long term support ( 4 Years OS Updates, 5 Years Security Updates), nice design, great screen, good main camera.✅
Not everybody can afford to buy a flagship.
