One of the biggest influences when I got into Documentary Filmmaking and starting my own video production company was Vice. I've alway been amazed and inspired with their earlier videos like Vice guide to travel or Fringe. I've never have seen this type of journalism or video style and every since I"ve been hooked. I do hope to see more of their original roots come back into todays media however its understandable with this type of business that may seem "Not relevant" But to anyone from Vice reading these comments just know your original fans are still here and want to see the Vice we know and love. so Keep it rolling Vice! - Alfred Gomez (21 Filmmaker) Proveo Media
Nothing against Jake or the amazing company Vice used to be; but, as far as "Bringing back the Magazine" - Respectfully, Just Don't. For starters, you're not capable of resurrecting a completely different "self" than you actually are, and that's a major problem. The collective "you're " (is) a different company. Your company is not part of the overall "underground scene" the way the original Vice magazine was. You're not politically unmotivated, celebrating counter-cultural movements and documenting people for people. Your company mission is very politically motivated, and a culture vulture using motion pictures to program ideas into populations.
When vice did documentaries about good stuff and not the junk that has happened after the HBO contract. It went downhill fast near after and it’s sad. They’re starting to go back to their roots, but after the channel is already on the decline. When you ignore the people that watch for so long, there’s not much of a chance of restoring it.
This video made me shed a couple tears. I remember my family being able to afford a computer. Coming across vice on youtube and telling myself. This is amazing 👏🏽 this channel is so beauty. They serve a cause. So crazy how far and where Vice came from . ❤😢
I remember the Vice Travel Guides, China, Afghanistan captivating and wild af! Its dope to hear the magazine is being relaunched, thats where it all started, the golden era of Vice!
