I'm surprised that Derail valley doesn't have a "reset and regenerate all cars/jobs in the game" option. It just seems handy, considering how often the OIl field and military harbour base seems to end up going up in flames.
Ya know, Hyce, there's a button in the menu that spawns a control bind paper(I think, I'll test it). It should tell you the VR controls. Also, _monorail is cursed, please go back to at least narrow gauge_

So finally got the money to buy my first engine. Couldnt decide between the tenmile or the Class 48. Finally went with the tenmile because articulated even though my original plan was to go all tank engine..... yeah the tenmile sucks ass. It derails at the slightest bump when coupling, it derails randomly while climbing hills, oh and theres this one fun thing it does where when going around a semi tight corner at slow speed with flat grade full reverser and 12% reg, the cars somehow manage to push the first car off the rails towards the outside of the corner? whats the point of having 2 flang 1 blind if it also has a flanged pilot wheel effectively making the wheelbase of the articulated section longer then the wheelbase of the drives. Dumb pilot derails more then betsy getting shoved down a 10% does.

i see that you have also made the unfortunate mistake of buying a wmr headset, for those who have not had to experience this, they are kinda terrible. you can bareley reach behind your back, the head tracking just gives up sometimes, and dont get me started on how fast it goes through AA batteries
Absolutely worth saving up for! Best bang for the buck currently would probably be a Quest 2 and something around a 5600x + 16GB + 3060ti/3070 which would already be good enough to run most games kinda decently which should be doable with around 1300-1500 quid, just as a rough guideline. There's always room for more, of course, but this would get you going and you even could enjoy wireless VR.

I rarely have so much as £200, and the most expensive thing ever bought for me was about £500. I appreciate the suggestions though, I might try and look into parts of that at some point.

At some point you'll be there, I hope :) And I totally understand that situation you're in... my biggest amount for a single thing paid was 1200€, and it was quite a stretch as well.

@@CyarSkirata What's the other specs of your rig? I've been running a 3570k overclocked and a 1080 until 2 years ago and it was still a lot better than most would think. And I've played VR with that, pretty much anything (Rift CV1 / Quest 1).
Also, it's a better experience when you're standing, although I understand if that's not really an option for recording...still, when standing, you CAN properly lean out of the windows. And, you can even take a sitting position without a keybind! (yes, I know that's just called sitting in a chair, so sue me)

Has anyone tried to make an insanely long chain of adjacent cars from one industry's output to the receiving's input yet? It'd be hilarious if the game let you car-unload-propagate transfer an industry's entire contents that way.
It's intentional. There's a mod that allows you to change the gauge, and he set it to zero (or something close), creating this effect. He did a livestream with it earlier, must have not reset it back to normal.
Just FYI Hyce. To use the spawner, while in VR you need to open your options and find the setting to enable spawning them, turn it off and back on again. Then next time you play on flatscreen. Youll have to turn it off and back on again. Idk why its like that

So I learned that if I pulled the cut lever on a knuckle/split knuckle at a railroad museum on a display of a real locomotive if they let you get close to it, it wouldn't be vandalism because vandalism is classified as damage to property that is not your own, and henceforth pulling the cut lever would not fall under vandalism but technically tampering of the Museum's property
