ITS FINALLY DONE kdjsfksdjfnk actually, its not event hat long. its just that ive started working again and i dont have nearly as much time as i did studying simple math courses xD anywayyy
once i heard everything everythings BANGING new record i was like, ok i HAVE to make a pmv with something from it. and this song was my immediate fave and also really fit lazarus so i figured id do one. aesthetically i used the opportunity to experiment a bit visually hehe. this video jumps a bit timeline wise, u may recognize some stuff from previous pmvs (shoutout to the worms)

can i just say how much i love the imagery at 1:18 . just. the dynamics between predator and prey in the food chain, perfectly encapsulating Arvo's view of the hierarchy he believes in. The pain when you realize, in the next set of panels, he views himself in the middle of that chain, that what was done to him was just another part of nature when in reality there was nothing natural about it. And how it glitches when he and Folke are placed beside each other because, to him, Folke is an equal, and that's new, he doesn't know how to reconcile with that yet.
I'm just curious what happens to him after this--does he go back to the hunters? Surely he can't, not in his basilisk form, that would be too dangerous and he knows it. Does Folke try to find him, even after he killed Gullmar? How would that conversation go down? afshfwgsdhfg im so excited to know more about this story i could be analyzing this completely wrong but it's so compelling and the art is so good i am Spinning In Circles right now

I've been listening to them non stop for like two months now and I agree! Their lyrics are inspiring and I probably would make oc pmv myself if I had time and energy (maybe one day)
Oh my gosh, the "These are the rules of the game" line paired with the natural selection predator and prey panels!!!! It fits so well. Holy crap. We can clearly see all the hours you spent working on this one.
haha yes, that line particularly i loved bcs that kind of darwinian attitude is definitely very prevalent in lazarus as a character! thank youu!
@@filurigs He's such a well developed character. I LOVE how much effort you put into showing his ideology. What kind of person he is is very clear to see over the PMVs he's featured in. Even then I can't get enough. His design, his completely animal perspective -- he's awesome.
@@themeddler7806 i love hearing your thoughts on him omg!! sometimes i wonder if like, my intentions with him comes across through just the pmvs, so its very gratifying to hear that it seems it does! even so i also know there are aspects to his character which i havent explored as much with the pmvs yet (like his less overtly malicious sides), so it is very exciting to figure out ways to show those parts in the future.

Dang, can't stop rewatching. I keep noticing things I have questions about. In the end of Jealous, it looks like Laz sheds his human skin and when you pick up on that part of the story here we see a crumpled body lying next to Folke. Is that Laz's borrowed human form?
yes! although he still keeps the form in his "reportoire", when he shifts to a new one the old form becomes a shell which the new one bursts out of. it very quickly disintegrates, like within a few minutes. kind of like a really fast metamorphosis in a way...

its lazarus! its right after the previous scene where lazarus flies away and scares away the birds in the tree (like he dropped a feather behind xD). that scene also takes place like right after the jealous meme as well!
