- hi hi hi! how are you all doing today? I hope you're having a wonderful day so far. I am coming with another Dr. Martens content for this week's video. Surprisingly, many of you have enjoyed my 1461 Bex Smooth Leather Oxford Shoes Unboxing video ( • UNBOXING MY NEW DR MAR... ) + my How to Style your Dr. Martens outfit video ( • HOW TO STYLE YOUR DR M... ). So I decided to film today's video just to let you know how I broke into my brand new Dr. Martens (platforms). I love my 1461s. I have had mine about 3 weeks and I work on my feet all day. Once broken in my shoes are sooooo comfy. My breaking in period wasn’t long at all.
I guess I should note I have the vegan ones!

So happy you said that they're still not comfortable after 5 months. I've had mine for about 6. It seems to be a cycle of my heels hurt, then my toes, then the ball of my foot 😭 I don't wear them everyday because of this
I just wanted to keep everything real with you 🥺🥺 my left foot is slightly bigger than my right and it’s been hurting for months ugh I don’t wear them everyday!

@@anadelira8192 yes, but I think I got them too small. Make sure you get them in the right size, wear big socks and buy those silicone heel socks and you'll be fine. They do take a while to break in!
I did! But it takes awhile to break into them, I recommend using the balm tbh it works so well
wearing running or sneakers 99%. Bought 1460s Dr Martens, wore them for 3 days as much as i could ,including in house(laces not too tight) and now are perfect fit! You might ask were you ok since the beginning? no it was hurting at the top of my foot where the front meets the "tongue", but know after 3 ,4 days the shoes are perfect! Nice video thought.

I didn't need to break those in at all, wore them for 8h straight out of the box, which surprised me since my Jadons and others took so long to break in. With those I didn't size down and that made a huge difference with the comfort, so I don't recommend sizing down in those.

@@rachaelkang924 Yeah I learned the lesson with my previous ones, now I always go for my actual size, we can always add insoles ☺

@@rachaelkang924 i usually wear my normal size or size up slightly, you can always add insoles but you can’t make them bigger! so i get the bigger ones usually

Blow dryer the inside and wear socks then try it on and walk around it. It will definitely break it in 😊

I’ve been trying to break them in for 2 months and I would put on 2 pairs of socks and so many plasters and after walking 10 mins my feet would be so sore and so blistered I really need to find out some way of breaking them in
I recommend buying their socks (the one that they sell in store) it’s such a life saver! Or buy their wonder balsam I heard good reviews about it 🥹 just wanted to let you know that after 6months of wearing them my feet were feeling so sore, so it’s pretty normal to feel that way! I hope you’ll be able to find a way soon 😭😭
My problem is my new 1461 fit well in the foot but the back where is the ankle is not close to my foot so when I walk my foot goes out I little and then it touches the ends of the shoe if that makes sense
