There's a pretty big difference between Ui and Asuka, especially in their relationship. Ui is the "pure as the driven show perfect little sister that takes care of the big sister", and while there are moments of Asuka taking care of Kasumi, it's only in very basic things like pulling her out of the tub when she overheats, and she spends most of the other time being embarrassed. Mostly acting like an actual sister might. That aside, the shows themselves are very different, with BanG Dream being a character drama and K-On being a slice of life comedy. There's certainly the easy comparisons to be made, but they're all very surface level ones.
